  1. I think that poetical irony dictates that the SF Forty-Whiners will end up with the distainable position of drafting a second consecutive #1 QB.
  2. Smerlas could make any picture look bad.
  3. ugliest helmets ... red helmets with blue facemask -- that was a bad decision.
  4. Best part about MREs is the chemical that is used to heat the meal. Take the packet and dump some (or most) of the chemical into an empty 2-liter bottle. Put a 1/4 cup of water in, screw on the lid ... and run. Fun times.
  5. I had noted in another thread, somewhere, that it was the 4th quarter before we had rushed the ball as many times as JP had thrown it in the first half. Ball control, smash mouth team? Not when you're forcing your young QB to throw the ball into a defense that is expecting the pass on every play. They were working JP hard.
  6. I know Lee Evans had at least one drop, maybe more. I found it interesting, after JP seemed to take the blame for the first INT (letting it sail into the wind), Mularkey (in the Q&A on the TBD front page) said that neither INT were solely JP's fault. I wonder if Aiken ran the wrong pattern, misread something, which further accented the bad throw by JP.
  7. i hear ya, eball. I thought that other than the first INT (I don't know which long ball he didn't throw) his passes were at least 90% on target. If we can just catch the ball, JP will put us in a position to win. I also got the feeling that they forced JP to throw the ball most of the night to work on forcing the passing game -- even when the D knows you're gonna throw.
  8. yeah, and we cut Gary Anderson in his rookie year ... think we can blame TD for that too? he certainly is at fault
  9. Without seeing the game (just following it on nfl.com), it seems like the gameplan tonight was to work on the passing game. Even into the 4th quarter, we still haven't run the ball as many times as JP dropped back to throw in 2 quarters. This is kinda like working on the zone during the first GB drive a couple of weeks ago. That's just my opinion -- as uninformed and pedestrian as it is.
  10. Don't forget Woodbury ... he's a playa!!!
  11. and you know this how, zow2?
  12. yeah, great job against the Lions' 3rd string I remember people calling for Reich to start too, and that was before the comeback game.
  13. So Holcomb looks decent against the Lions' backups and he's ready to start ... my confidence in JP isn't high right now, but com'on.
  14. Our prayers are with you. Is there anything that you and your unit need? Our community has sent care packages to many units. I'd need your address, too.
  15. yeah, i know, i get it
  16. I would be in favor of moving threads about _______________ (insert former child star's name) and how she looks so good/bad ... away from the Stadium Wall forum if that is what you are saying. Any move that takes non-football talk away from the wall would have my support.
  17. I'm probably in the minority, but I would prefer no section like that ... I don't even shop at stores that have a "back room" no matter how descreet. There's more than enough information, and more than enough links, on the internet for people to find that stuff. I think that such a forum would cheapen TBD/TSW. I know some will respond by saying "don't go to that forum" ... but I am someone who has recovered from a pornography addiction and don't need any help going back down that road -- it's tough enough already.
  18. I would contend that true followers of Jesus have that same view. Or maybe I should say that my priorities do not have possessions very highly honored, and I get that from my reading of the Gospel accounts.
  19. can anyone here give a "real" answer to the question of why do oil prices and futures affect natural gas prices? We always see them increase at the same time, but my understanding was that natural gas has nothing to do with oil. Anyone?
  20. this morning at one station it was $2.59 at 8 AM at 9:30 AM it is $2.85
  21. San Diego had a preseason game moved to AZ because of the wildfires last year -- I think.
  22. Plus the trade freed up enough money to sign Spikes Price = McGahee + Spikes ... That is TD's strongest point
  23. I wouldn't mind, but I'll say it before anyone else. I've heard of him ...
  24. OTOH, Shelton laid 2 key blocks on JP's TD run against the Packers the week before. We just need that to happen all the time.
  25. i noticed the Jerman was in for a lot of plays in the first half -- most notably on JP's sack in mid-1st (IIRC). Anyone know why?
