  1. Excellent news if true.
  2. For those of you who haven't been to Japan, imagine the rate of spread assuming this kept going on during the initial outbreak.
  3. Perhaps they have a cure?
  4. What is your theory then?
  5. China is able to lockdown an entire province and get everyone on board very quickly. Italians are notoriously rebellious and that played a huge role in everyone contaminating the virus quickly.
  6. It's a ghost town here. Very few people in the streets.
  7. That’s what happened in Italy and the hospitals are overflowing with patients.
  8. It spreads exponentially. Not surprising especially in a city as dense as New York City.
  9. Maybe I’m generalizing but aren’t Italians notorious for living with their parents till a later age ?
  10. As far as I can tell, the flu doesn’t cause overcrowding of hospitals to this extent.
  11. The south has much warmer weather than the north. I’m wondering if this has had any impact on the spread of the virus.
  12. Justin Trudeau’s wife has the virus and yet he hasn’t been tested. He’s following doctors orders. Is he unfit ?
  13. My cousin in Rome is fine. She can go out for walks. I have an aunt who is in her 60's and my uncle who is around 73 and I'm worried for him but he's in the south and I'm pretty sure that they are staying home and avoiding leaving the house.
  14. My cousin in Rome sent me the same thing from her balcony. No joke, this brings tears to my eyes.
  15. Then what explains Italy?
  16. We need some good news for once. We have begun quarantine in Montreal, working from home, schools closed, etc. Very few cases but I suspect will explode very soon.
  17. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-southkorea-idUSKBN210051 SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea reported more recoveries from the coronavirus than new infections on Friday for the first time since its outbreak emerged in January, as a downward trend in daily cases raised hopes that Asia’s biggest epidemic outside China may be slowing.
  18. Not to take any side in this political debate but at the very least, Trump and American leaders have taken action. I'm still waiting for some sort of announcement here and Trudeau has not done anything.
  19. I had the same mindset until I started to see the stats coming out of Italy. I think the steps governments are now taking are not enough based on how easily it spreads and how lethal it can end up being. Again, Italy has tested 10,000 people and has had roughly 600 deaths which is very high.
  20. 6% mortality rate in Italy based on those who are tested... my relatives are all in lockdown in Rome and in the south.
  21. I’m with you. I’m working on a vaccine as we speak.
  22. He won 3 more seats and did not secure a majority. Again, he continues to have support of the ultra orthodox who I personally don’t think are good for that country.
  23. Personally bibi is surviving because of the support of the ultra orthodox who don’t serve in the military.
