  1. Actually carried interest in spirit reflects what you're actually making, a capital gain on an investment. The management fees on the other hand should be taxed as income on the other hand.
  2. As long as I could still read Dave_In_Norfolk's witty remarks by email, I should be ok.
  3. Dozens and dozens of Pac videos of teary eye witnesses all coming out against you: "I posted on a forum that I like Bill Nye and he called me a retard"
  4. Are you considering running for president?
  5. Oh Newt http://http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-01-18/gingrich-paid-40k-in-speech-praising-pe-levy.html This is entertaining
  6. Hey Pete, have you ever created anything and had it stolen...
  7. Obama created millions jobs... At the cost of 287K per job
  8. But maybe the province so closely resembling Europe isn't doing so well... What a surprise. My link
  9. You know what they say about statistics eh? Correlation or Causation?
  10. You're dumber than conner.
  11. Was watching Bloomberg TV before and the topic on hand was if Private Equity was destructive or productive for the economy. They had Eileen Applebaum and a guy who works on the PE side. Eileen's argument was essentially that PE owned firms performed poorly in contrast to non-PE owned firms and that PE partners were essentially looking out for themselves and profit growth rather than job growth The Bloomberg anchor didn't give her much time after that as her argument was all over the place
  12. Ron Paul will select Mitt as his VP when he's the president. How did he screw over the middle class?
  13. Actually no, I responded to this: Hence I was simply pointing out the irrelevant statement that Canada is able to provide healthcare and is fully able to cover the costs but if you really think I need a brainscan MRI, would you be so kind as to pay for it? Did I say I'd rather have one or the other or did I just tell you that the Canadian system is actually more expensive if you take into account taxes paid vs insurance premiums? Don't assume criticizing one system means I automatically want the other.
  14. What subject am I discussing? If you look up you may notice I'm discussing health care in Canada so pulling out a random video of a girl testifying to Congress about insurance companies in the US isn't really relevant to what I'm discussing so therefore I didn't even !@#$ing make a statement about the video. As if your opinion is relevant?
  15. Yes you're totally right. I'm convinced. That or you're !@#$ing delusional but hey, it's not your pocket being raped.
  16. I didn't watch your video as I think anything related to Michael Moore is garbage. You're right, so on top of paying the highest tax rates this side of the pond, I also have to pay out of pocket for a corrupt badly run bureaucratic system so long as your bleeding heart feels better at the end.
  17. So they are attacking him for being a good businessman. This should turn out well
  18. Sicko?? Why not just post something from Alex Jones. The fact is to get 2 ultrasounds and 1 MRI for the damn thing cost over $1,000. Of course if I had gone the public route I'd have waited quite a bit. You're right, it did turn out to be nothing but do you really think I'm not going to sacrifice that cash to make sure? As I already said, I have many friends who are choosing the private route because public has become way too much of a hassle. Semi-private is growing dramatically here. Now tell me if it's normal in your honest opinion that tax payers are paying out of their pocket as well as tax dollars for health services when it's supposedly !@#$ing free? The link below says it all. http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/06/27/wait-times-longer-for-sickest-patients-poll/
  19. This same system misdiagnosed my father who ended up having cancer caught too late. You're an apologist for something that is a failure because it represents your ideology. !@#$ing moron.
  20. I think he's been drinking again...
  21. How about a 30 year old in good health? Here's a hint and this is just an estimate. I paid about 10K in tax dollars this year related to health care (this is just income tax, let's not forget all the wonderful other taxes I pay) that goes into the health care budget and I'm far from wealthy.
