  1. "We hate Josh Allen at QB With our screwy methodology That says he's as off-target as can be... Oh my God, we were wrong! Our narrative is gone but PFF will never see (No PFF will never see) Our own lack of accuracy!"
  2. The Slap Shot references in the other thread are corrupting me.
  3. I took a late round flyer on him in one league. If Cousins can no longer get the ball to Thielen he may move up.
  4. Fine interview, said all the right things. Even in the reserved mode on sports cliche setting you can tell the guy just has the "it" factor.
  5. ESPN, always going to commercial when it's the Bills
  6. "Fantasy players would be wild to even consider benching him for Buffalo's up-tempo matchup against the Rams in Week 3." Yeah but what if your backup is Kyler Murray vs the Lions?
  7. "Minnesota dropped you. Yeah, it's in the Hockey News. I'll save it for you." "I have a contract!"
  8. Allen may run like Elway, but he throws like Hackenberg. I can't believe how many references there are to the first drive. It's amazing how no other QB in the league has a receiver who isn't where he's expected on 3rd down and stops a drive. Only Allen because muh inaccurate. Every incompletion means he's inaccurate. Every completion means the receiver bailed him out, but he's still inaccurate.
  9. "Sit down, you're really starting to VanNoy me."
  10. People say Allen’s placement makes catches difficult for his receivers; corollary would be it is also difficult for defenders. Now that his receivers are used to it, they can catch it but not the defenders. It’s the next level of the next level of quarterbacking!
  11. 2018: Allen isn’t even Tebow level QB, he’s inaccurate 2019: keep Allen in the pocket and make him beat you with his arm, he’s still inaccurate 2020: the teams Allen is beating with his arm suck, he’s still inaccurate
  12. Wilson threw a bomb on 4th and 1 for a TD last week and people said it was brilliant. Allen threw bombs on 2nd and 3rd down up by 4 with < 4 minutes against Miami. if it works you’re a genius (Wilson last week, Allen on 3rd down) otherwise WTF how can you make such a bad decision (Wilson this week, Allen on 2nd down)
  13. Why is it always a sweat?
  14. interestingly, for as obnoxious as Jets fans are, their take on Allen hanging 300 on them was, he's better than they thought and will be a concern going forward. Dolphin fans after Josh rings 400 and 4TDs with 0 turnovers, are of the notion that they aren't concerned about him in the future and Tua will be the only upper-level QB in the division once he starts playing. "Allen had some great moments, but also killed atleast 3 drives with inaccurate passes" "Josh Allen is not an accurate QB" "He hasn't yet shown he can make tight window throws that are required to consistently perform as an NFL QB, and when he has been asked to do it in the past, he hasn't done it." "I suppose you're willfully blind and/or ignorant to his career completion percentage in the NFL and NCAA?"
  15. Gilmore getting slapped around like those 6-year-olds in that Pee Wee game from the New York Post article.
  16. Justin Tucker FG barely inside the right upright; cut him.
  17. It's tough to project ceilings without getting into hyperbole. Just on individual attributes: Arm like Jeff George? Runs like Tim Tebow? Competitive as Brett Favre? Tough as Jim Kelly? Roger Staubach type leader of men? Clutch gene like Terry Bradshaw? None of those sound like an unreasonable upside based on what we've already seen. If the decision-making and defense reading continue to progress to a Bernie Kosar or Chad Pennington level, what can a defense do about that? Throwing darts, throwing rainbows, taking the top off the defense, running for first downs. What does a defense do about a mutliple threat like that?
  18. "The Bulldog wears socks that smell!"
  19. I think it was the very next play. You could see Allen motioning to go up the field and talking to Brown in the huddle. Reading lips I think it was something like "Smoke baby, you're supposed to go after that first move. Try it again, it'll totally work!" * * I may be taking liberties with the interpretation
  20. There's a number of people on the board that pointed out that this was one of the rawest QB prospects in a generation... but also one of the smartest and most athletic with the best arm. Develop him and you have a dominant force in this league for a decade, or more. He's already showing touch and command in Year 3 that his comps like Favre and Elway didn't have till the back end of their career. If he keeps it up, this is a real unicorn we got here.
  21. Tanking the 3rd quarter lets you pad your 4th quarter comeback stats.
  22. The cream cheese icing on my carrot cupcake today is Fantasy... I had Allen (34pts) matched up against Brady (9pts). Allen is almost singlehandedly winning for my fantasy team, too.
