  1. Man, we've had Doink, might as well have a Diamond Cutter
  2. Holy buscuits what a play. Biggest play in biggest moment, Hooper.
  3. I think it might have been mentioned that the first AFL championship to qualify for the inter-league championship against the NFL in 1966, was Bills versus Chiefs with the winner facing the Green Bay Packers. The visiting team had a resounding victory that day, New Years Day 1967, in War Memorial Stadium over dere on Masten Ave.
  4. Wherever the game is next week it'll be a "weather game" and likely cold and crummy. That said, IF the Bills can get by, we know what warm-weather Josh looks like, and it's awesome. I hear Florida is nice this time of year.
  5. Aren't half the NFC QB's collecting Social Security? What's wrong with one of them?
  6. What is better is the adjustments made in game. They got gashed on the ground the first drive especially trying to play a gap-integrity read-and-react, which failed spectacularly when someone (you know who) would fill the wrong gap. I understand the thought, if it's a pass you need to contain Lamar so you can't just shoot upfield. Gradually it became apparent that to stop the Ravens you need to attack the Ravens. You can't let them rip off 3 and 4 yards as a default with the occasional 12 or 14 for sustained drives. Once they committed to attacking and getting negative plays to put the Ravens behind the sticks, it made it tough on them. Kudos on the broadcast crew for pointing that out. The interior D started worrying less about occupying blocks and more on beating blocks and getting upfield which is where guys like Oliver and Phillips have talent. The Ravens did make a few plays on long 3rd down conversions but generally the Ravens have plays planned to go 4 yards that might go 15 if they catch you correctly, but not as many plays to gain 15 as designed.
  7. Yep. It would be awesome for football if football fans were able to watch football, just to make sure we're talking about football here.
  8. Best Rockpile yet. As if James Michener wrote a short essay called "Orchard Park"
  9. This is a tougher call but I think Collinsworth still loses
  10. "This is the sort of post that an MVP makes!" - Cris Collinsworth, probably
  11. It must have been one hell of a block because if you cue up the Next Gen Stats #89 just lays there for the entire play
  12. It's a good post to use the new "dopesick" reaction.
  13. Had my Allen jersey on for the first 25 minutes of the Steelers game. Took it off, Taron gets the pick-6. You don't have to tell me twice. And you're welcome.

  15. Back before all the offense-favoring rules changes to make football more like something implemented by James Naismith than George Patton, the field position game was more important than simply having the ball, because rarely was a team just marching up and down the field at will.
  16. On winning the coin flip you get dibs of 4 choices: receive, kick, defend a goal, or defer your preference to the second half. Generally the winner will defer because it's advantageous to have your choice in the 2nd half. Then the losing team has dibs and will usually take the ball for first possession. I vaguely recall one of those Witch Of November games in the 90's at the Rich against the Cardinals and if my memory serves Marv Levy opted to get the wind in the 2nd and 4th quarters, and kelly went bombs away with the wind and it was a complete rout. Yep, wayback machine has it: November 11 1990, Bills 45 Cardinals 14. ALL of the scoring in the game came in the direction with the wind. The Bills had the ball in the 2nd and 4th and ran roughshod. This is the one thing Allen hasn't mastered yet is how to gauge the wind in the home stadium. Kelly would lob the ball up as if it was a 30 yard throw knowing it was going to travel 50, and it did.
  17. Ravens fans were wondering why the IG play wasn't roughing the passer, for sure. Late, or going after the legs (disregarding that is legal for a scrambling qb). I guess it's the difference between necessary and unnecessary.
  18. Flip him to fullback, the next Ricard
  19. They gotta take you in for concussion protocol if you do that...
  20. Josh took egregious late hits in 2018 and 2019 with no call. It’s a way to discourage them, yes, but mainly it’s NFL protecting a valuable asset.
  21. Compare and contrast with the logo dance on the Titans. I think the response is elicited by the opponent. It looked like they thought Jackson got taken out by a cheap shot but they saw on replay it was just a bad fall, Edmunds and Murphy were just trying to get the tackle because, hey, it's Jackson, you better tackle him.
  22. And the Bills didn't? What game did you see? The Colts were a hell of a lot more of a threat than the Ravens were.
