  1. What was the quote from that necro-bump on April’s pre-draft thread? Something about, in a draft year like this one where players couldn’t/didn’t play, the better front offices in the league have a chance to significantly out-perform the dross and steal some players who would have been on the radar in normal years.
  2. Rooting for that third rou… I mean, for Frazier to be in contention
  3. That’s Nick Wright on the right, right?
  4. So you’re telling me the Bills can’t win the close ones. (ducking)
  5. then don’t try to make the argument that one marginal call is egregious and bad and the other marginal call is valid and good. That’s textbook subjective. If both calls are made or neither call made, the what’s the problem?
  6. Bills didn’t have the horses to do in the AFCG what they did yesterday. Like complementary football between O, D, ST, Bills have a complementary front office and coaching staff.
  7. In other words, the roughing the passer call on Ed Oliver on a 4th down stop? Situationally the stripes literally took the ball away from the Bills and gave it back to the Chiefs. On the Clark call, they left the Bills 70+ yards away from the end zone. Go get a stop. If you’re not playing well enough to beat the opponent and the refs, then you’re not playing well enough.
  8. I don’t always score touchdowns, but when I do it’s with a spin move.
  9. Nah, coaching was big. The play I keep coming back to was the Chiefs turnover on downs, tipped pass by Poyer. Addison iirc was left end and defeated his block and had a clear upfield path to Mahomes and suddenly stopped in his tracks, did not continue upfield, and by doing that maintained contain on Mahomes in the pocket. All the lineman concentrated not on getting to the QB but just preventing him from leaving the pocket. Mahomes had 8 friggin seconds in the pocket before he threw, and finally tried to zip it over Poyer who tipped it for the inc. Those DL were coached to do something unnatural to them (i.e. don’t try to sack the QB). That’s coaching, scheme, and execution.
  10. There was that commentary right after McD was hired that he was the anti-Rex Ryan. Similarly this D game plan was the Palms magnum opus and the exact opposite of the Rex 46. Don’t chase the big plays, just follow the plan, execute with discipline, and the plays will come to you through the scheme. When Chuck Knox came the early 80s the Bills weren’t the most talented bunch but could win if opponents weren’t on point through Ground Chuck and tough D. In the Super Bowl years the Bills were as talented as anyone, but Levy and Corey got killed at the big moments by, let’s face it, better coaching. This is something different. This roster is top-echelon talent-wise in the league, and after getting punked by Tomlinson & co week 1, Daboll stopped trying to be cute like Andy Reid and the defensive coaches been unbelievable with game planning and halftime adjustments. With that combination, it doesn’t matter if the opponent is on point or not. The Bills will win if they don’t beat themselves.
  11. To be the man, you gotta beat the man
  12. That’s the galling part. One sided narrative. What are you gonna believe, us, or what you saw with your own two eyes?
  13. “This is what Josh Allen always does, he needs to cut that out of his game to ever be a real QB” -**** Coddleswab after the grounding “He’s been great running in the first half but not throwing it, apart from one to Diggs” -Al Michaels after 200 yards and 2 Td in half
  14. After the GB preseason game I was ok with that. After Pittsburgh…. Eh. But unless who have guys on the D line who can win off the snap, a lot, I don’t think that will stymie the Bills O.
  15. That second touchdown was like throwing a marble through a floorboard crack. I mean all three were sick in different ways.
  16. 38-20 doesn’t sound as impressive as 43-21 but they were kinda the same game. What the opponent got was fluky and the contest as a whole was not as close as the final score.
  17. didn’t you love the NBC Halloween graphic animation about these awful offenses the Bills throttled, but NOW they’re up against big scary KC who will BOOOry them…. Meanwhile score is like 31-13 and Chiefs are on another lifeline thrown by the zebras who were their offensive MVP
  18. There was a play, think it was a failed 4th down try where Poyer tipped it? Addison I think had a path to mahomes and instead just maintained his leverage to not let him escape to the side. Some with other end (Hughes?) End result, Mahomes had 8 seconds in the pocket. Yet, Buffalo’s zone shell held, mahomes tried to force it, turnover on downs. That is some kind of defensive scheming.
  19. KC had two ref-sustained drives and two figs. They never looked like a threat to the Bills, in a fair game. Call it both ways and that’s what 45-6 looks like.
  20. Yeah but I’m sure someone out there really misses Trent Murphy… anyone?
  21. I don’t mind if they call it tight but call it both ways. The holds by Dawkins and Morse called, the ones on Rousseau and Hughes ignored. The defensive holding on every effing third down by the Bills and Chiefs getting stops on clear PIs. The only wash was the dueling RtP’s against Miss Mahomey and on Josh The Unit.
  22. How about some 4 minutes offense right up your ***** NFL, KC, refs, Vegas, Coddleswab, Nick Wrong, etc etc
  23. That’s a legit penalty at least
