  1. One thing to get used to especially in winter is, moose will just walk in the middle of the road and there's not much you can do about it.
  2. There could probably be a topic of same-name-songs?
  3. I'm curious to see if the Bills strongest OL config is Anderson at C and McG back at LG. He was a plus at C in '24 but was plus-plus at G in '23. Of course then you'd be bringing in Grable or Van Demark for jumbo sets. Broeker was a solid value, most years he'd have made the team. He was worlds better than Quessenberry and Boettger in preseason, he just didn't look as good as Anderson did. The Texans nabbed him off waivers and he's still there.
  4. In the Gunner thread it was noted that he took Calen Bullock at S in his mock pick #60 instead of Bishop. Bullock went #78 to the Texans and started, pulling 5 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery. If he's on the Bills roster instead of Bishop there's a chance that's enough to make the difference in a VERY close AFCCG.
  5. What's REALLY interesting is how often Gunner pegs the position being drafted at that slot. The only miss is Kincaid as a receiving TE instead of a proper WR.
  6. I'm your stalkerberry. From the latest v3.0 mocks I could find: 2024 #28 Gunner: Brian Thomas WR (actual draft position #23 JAX) Bills: Trade down to #32, Keon Coleman WR + DeWayne Carter DT #95 (Xavier Worthy WR taken #28 KC + Jaden Hicks S #133) Yeah there's a lot to complain about the trade. Thomas wasn't there at 28 but nobody in that area of the draft had as much impact. Both KC players outplayed their BUF counterparts which usually means you lost the trade. 2024 #60 Gunner: Calen Bullock S (actual #78 HOU) Bills: Cole Bishop S Bullock had a terrific rookie season, 54 tackles, 5 picks, 1 FR and 11 passes defended allowing a 45.0 QBR when targeted - as a 21 year old. Clean win Gunner. 2023 #27 Gunner: Jordan Addison WR (actual #23 MIN) Bills: Trade up to 25 for Dalton Kincaid TE (Anton Harrison OT taken #27 JAX + Tyler Lacy DE #130) Addison is clearly someone the Bills could've used in 2024, Kincaid struggled as a sophomore and the Bills paid a 4th to go get him. Irl Addison was not an option, but the Bills paying a cost to get a guy less productive than others drafted later... 2023 #59 Gunner: Andrew Vorhees G (actual #229 BAL) Bills: O'Cyrus Torrence G This is skewed because Vorhees tore an ACL at the Combine after this mock and there was no R2 mock after v1.0. Torrence has slotted in nicely. Have to give an edge to the Bills here but it's just luck. 2022 #25 Gunner: Andrew Booth CB (actual #42 MIN) Bills: Trade up to 23 for Kaiir Elam CB (Tyler Linderbaum C taken #25 BAL + Jordan Stout P #130) Hah! Both lose this one but the Bills lose harder giving a 4th to move up for a bust. The correct answer was: Kyler Gordon. Extra kick in the jimmies is Baltimore getting 2 starters (and a Pro Bowler).
  7. Now that I've familiarized myself a little more with the current pre-combine slotting, it is disturbing to me how many corners are coming off @GunnerBill's mock early. Not even saying it's not likely but in your scenario there's at least 2 DT's there at #30 that are a clear cut "draft me" in Nolen and Harmon but then a CB run taking the second tier of Harrison, Hairston & Amos. Zy Alexander is still there... I might have to pull the trigger on that instead of Bond. For me so far just weighing the different mock engines, the most common thing I've been running into is trying to flip 56 or 62 (+ lower round cheese) into two picks in the 80-100 range especially if an OT is sliding that someone will pop up for. In that range there should be a couple targets, guys like David Walker, Tyler Baron, Jordan Burch, Saivion Jones, Darius Alexander, Darian Porter, Dorian Strong on D or Jack Bech, Savion Williams, Tory Horton at WR (or a higher rated faller). Feels like ODB needs at least 5 'scripts' with some branches to them depending on what's there at 30: 1) DT, 2) EDGE, 3) CB, 4) WR, 5) nothing they want. Like dominos that will dictate the rest of the first 4 picks. What they need from those is help at those first 4 positions. Then look at maybe popping up for safety with a 5+6 or something. So at #208 I've been trying to decide whether to mock Burnip from Bama, or Elzinga from Oklahoma to the Bills to challenge Martin at P. I'm leaning Elzinga... what do you think?
  8. Not for long. Rasul's position on the roster needs to be upgraded, and Tre ain't it at this point.
  9. 19M projected for a slot guy? That's gonna be a no. Those guys get drafted in the 5th round for a reason, to paraphrase Monos. Benford projecting 4/90 makes a high choice this year on CB imperative. Bernard and Cook at those numbers are doable.
  10. Getting busted doesn't mean you were a bust...
  11. And you could probably top that with Walt Patulski and Tom Cousineau... although in that era the Nebraska Bobbsey Twins Bob Nelson and Tom Ruud as an R1+R2 package were poison... they both immediately staged a holdout, and when they finally came in they were unplayable from the get-go. Say what you will about Bobby Hart, by the time he was released Kromer had coached him up to near serviceability.
  12. 30: Donovan Ezeiraku, EDGE, BC. Undersized but with long arms. Even if Nolen, Grant and Tyliek are gone that means there's a higher-rated CB or EDGE here. Ezeiraku has to rise significantly in the process to not be a reach here, he's mid-late 2nd on most boards. Can't believe Mike Green, Shemar Stewart, Princely Umanmielen and Jack Sawyer are all gone at this point, not to mention the former DT's, and CBs Barron and Revel. 56: Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State. Fast yes, 4.38, but lack of length and blocking acumen brings questions to whether he can be an X. Elic Ayomanor projects to an X 62: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame. This is a fine pick. In a tier below Revel and Barron, but right there with Thomas, Alexander and Amos. 107: JJ Pegues, DT, Ole Miss. Two schools of thought on the DL depth in the draft: get your choice at the top, or wait and see who's left. This is the latter, but no problem with the player for this spot. Could go Jordan Phillips too, or if you took the DT R1, David Walker. 130: Billy Bowman, S, Oklahoma. Lacks length but has the long speed. Bills can use that. This is fine. 171: Cody Simon, LB, Ohio State. Bills mold of fast, versatile, but slightly undersized LB. Still, toolsy and athletic. 174: Joquavious Marks, RB, USC. Dual-threat back for 3rd down chain moving, would be potentially replacing Ty Johnson. 177: Jack Nelson, T, Wisconsin. Has inside/outside position flex but seems the type Kromer likes more at T. 179: Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana. Because he's Canadian. Could just as well be Shough or Leonard I suppose. 206: James Burnip, P, Alabama. I like the idea of punter for salary cap reasons, but the knock on Burnip is he can be slow to get the kick off. Oh boy.
  13. nflmockdraftdatabase.com too-early attempt: Grant and Ayomanor have been popular in these mocks, and are very good gets at those slots. Xavier Watts is just too much of a difference maker at 62 to pass on. Dorian Strong is another CB with length capable of pressing the LOS, I'm assuming the Bills are looking for those. Saivion Jones is a big edge who can get to the QB, possibly flex inside on passing downs to hopefully do better than Jefferson against Baltimore. Jay Higgins screams process and scouts a bit like Bernard, but if you think he's a Will maybe you go a more Mike-projection leaving Dorian behind Milano. Miles Frazier is what the Bills do at guard, road-grader, not a puller. Jordan Hancock is a nickel/safety flex like Cam Lewis, but with long speed. Riley Leonard, don't really have to change the playbook. Sanders has injury concerns but is a 230 sub-4.5 guy. Lundt profiles a bit like Van Demark, seems to fit the Kromer mold. Roberts is another developmental big edge. I'd have rather gone with Oladejo to lead off "the cluster" of 5th's but he went just prior, maybe irl would have pulled a trade-up.
  14. After plunking a few mocks at a few sites, starting to get a sense of what the Bills need to do: they must combo up on: CB, DT, EDGE, WR in the early picks. Taking a crack at PFN engine, it looks like it's constantly refining itself with data from mock drafters. With a couple strategic trade-downs this is how it fell, and something unexpected happened on the way... 31. Kenneth Grant DT Michigan. This was always the guy, but at 30 Tyleik, Grant, and Nolen were still on the board so took the cheese from KC to drop, & they took Tyliek. 56. Walter Nolen DT Ole Miss. Excuse me wtf. Why is this guy here. This is NOT Boogie, we're doubling up. We're gonna rotate the **** out of opposing OLs. 62. Isaiah Bond WR Texas. A flat-out burner who can take the top off in the 4.3 range. If there was a true X in this spot like Savion Williams or Elric of Melinbonor then I'd probably have gone that way. Tez Johnson also in consideration. 108. Zy Alexander CB LSU. It would have been Azarayeh Thomas at 56 if Nolen wasn't there but we're happy dancing to get Zy here for the impending philosophy change. 131. Tyler Baron EDGE Miami. The ripple from 56 continues, as 108 would have been targeting David Walker. 175. Jordan James RB Oregon. In case Cook is not extended, fills the quota for Jimbo, dreads. 179. Cody Lindenberg LB Minnesota. A true Mike who can back-up TB and provide diagnosis & green-dot ability in a more Tremainey size. 181. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin. This is with an eye to replacing Hamlin, brings more size & tackling ability. 197. Mitchell Evans TE Notre Dame. With an eye toward Knox's role as an inline guy. 207. Nohl Williams CB Cal. Developmental press boundary corner. 208. Que Robinson EDGE Alabama. Former safety has length and frame but will need to add strength, can be a core-4 ST guy in the meantime. 227. Tyler Shough QB Louisville. The eternal search for a developmental guy behind Allen.
  15. If that's the kind of big receiver you're going for you can maybe look toward someone like Savion Williams with one of the 2nds. Most Bills fans seem to be calling for the vertical threat type like an Egbuka. Someone like Golden or Isaiah Bond or Tez Johnson stands a good chance of being there for the 2nds.
  16. Taking a cut at Draft Buzz. My justification is, let's steal the Eagles plan. Getting guys to cover will allow your DL to be better. TBH I haven't got deep into the late round guys, hence P and dev QB instead of a real player like a sleeper edge. Tez is a poor man's Worthy, just steal some KC plays for him. DL and EDGE especially got violently drafted early by the sim, so rather than reach... (Let's No, Brandon). PICK: 30 RND: 1 (BUF) - Jahdae Barron CB Texas PICK: 56 RND: 2 (BUF) - Nick Emmanwori S South Carolina PICK: 62 RND: 2 (BUF) - Deone Walker DT Kentucky PICK: 108 RND: 4 (BUF) - Tez Johnson WR Oregon PICK: 131 RND: 4 (BUF) - Elijah Arroyo TE Miami PICK: 171 RND: 5 (BUF) - Danny Stutsman LB Oklahoma PICK: 175 RND: 5 (BUF) - Jared Wilson IOL Georgia PICK: 179 RND: 6 (BUF) - Theo Wease Jr. WR Missouri PICK: 206 RND: 6 (BUF) - Luke Elzinga P Oklahoma PICK: 208 RND: 6 (BUF) - DJ Uiagalelei QB Florida State
  17. Elliott's kick is good! Oh wait, there's a flag on the play! Seriously, even the garbage time scoring drives for the Chiefs, both tackles were holding every play, Taylor never lines up within 2 yards of LoS, numerous false starts. The 22 pity points just make it look like the\ Chiefs didn't get completely splattered by the Eagles to people getting the "NFL Stats and Records" proprietary brainchip download 50 years on from now.
  18. [10:09] 2 minutes 1) Bosch tools Macho Madness 2) Totino's Pizza Rolls 3) GoDaddy something 4) Fetch app Blah not a good year. Nothing I really really liked and a lot that were just weird and/or disgusting
  19. Another false start, and that costs me the 6-0 squares pot
  20. Yeah, go ahead and highstep down 5 scores.
