  1. ESPN's take is "nobody is playing better than Patrick Mahomes"
  2. They would have had dust on the clock. 10 seconds or less.
  3. Good value bourbon for mixing, I like Evan Williams expressions. Don't eggnog without it. Good value bourbon for drinking, Buffalo Trace is hard to top. Splurge expensive bourbons? I usually go for scotch haha... but Whistle Pig Rye 12 year is a treat.
  4. NFLN is doubling down... literal quote here "Although (Lamar) had two critical turnovers, this ain't on him"
  5. I edited the above post, so if you don't see that, and if you like rye, seek out Johnnie Walker High Rye. It's not blue label but much smoother and less smoky than black label, and should be in the $40 range (i found a case on closeout at $10 a bottle, like finding a winning lottery ticket)
  6. Cannot say that I have. Every one of my uncles was all about Canadian Blended though. That does remind me of one of my favorite dad jokes though... a baby seal walks into a bar, the bartender says "What'll you have?" The baby seal says "anything except a Canadian Club on the rocks" Edit: Thinking about it, one of my underrated value favorites is Johnnie Walker High Rye if you can find it.
  7. Deets! I'm working tomorrow, and though I'd like to pop the Angel's Envy Rye or better still the MacAllen 12* (close enough) I'm sticking with the HopSlam for now. * i took a magic marker to the MacAllan
  8. The Andrews throw on the 2 pointer? Objectively that was drilled right into his belly button. That kinda makes it a good throw.
  9. This worries me greatly. If Allen wins next Sunday he's going to cost himself a berth in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am with Keith Mitchell.
  10. Speaking of NFLN continuing coverage, they're interviewing Henry (who was held under 90 yards making the Ravens 2-6 on the year when that happens, I wonder when they'll figure that out) Can I just comment how every Raven I've seen interviewed is dressed like a Woody Allen sperm?
  11. We're already onto Allen's "not very impressive stats" despite "two short rushing TDs"
  12. Narrative on NFLN is that Lamar was MVP in the game with an 88-yard MVP drive but his teammates let him down. And also he didn't have his #1 receiving weapon so we shouldn't hold his "two boo-boos" (Direct quote I kid you not) against him.
  13. There's that, but it's weird that the Bills never really attacked their weakness in the deep third except for the honey hole shot to Hollins (missed) and the deep middle to Shakir (hit). Everything was pretty much small ball, aimed right into the Ravens strength.
  14. In that case Allen gets the ball with a minute left in a tie game. I totally would have signed up for that last Monday.
  15. I thought about that but I'm not sure that's a challengeable thing whether to spot at the 1 or the 2 if it's NOT relevant to being a first down/not a first down or something like that. Just moving the spot, I hope someone has the actualy rule book, but without another element involved it might not be eligible.
  16. Nah. The FG took the Bills dormie, as in there's no way they lose in regulation. As it turned out, the ravens needed 88 yards after the kickoff and got it easily. Andrews drops it after you fail on 4th down and now you're trailing 25-24 and need to drive to win the game. It's was absolutely the correct game management move, and I have been one of the more strident critics of McD's game management.
  17. I found myself agreeing with McD on the critical calls in this game (evidence in the GDT). This is rare for me.
  18. So we're kinda rooting for the Chiefs to outgain the Bills next week by 100 yards, so they lose
  19. Bass makes his PATs. Ravens chase the game, go 0-for-2 on 2PT convs. Lose by 2 points.
  20. That Miami game kinda fixed him. Cemented in his psyche that "I can do this!"
  21. Do you mean "leed" like being ahead in the score, or "led" like the metal that kills brain cells?
  22. Lamar: "As you can see we were moving the ball wonderfully but just can't hold onto the ***** ball"
  23. When Dion Dawkins retires we're gonna see more of him on TV than we ever did when he was playing.
  24. I am pretty sure i saw Cynthia Freeland call this game 27-26 Buffalo in the pre game show. I would also like the NFL to realize it can monetize a pouty Taylor Swift as her team gets pummelled. Keep it fair.
