  1. Nice pictures..looks like a great event to see live!
  2. Not at all....I believe in this team....Game 5 was just an unfortunate loss, albeit a tough loss to deal with ...no reason to think the Sabres cant pull this comeback off... Another thought: No matter what happens, would love to see this team get a long standing O or maybe even a "Thank You Sabres" chant going!
  3. I guarantee that the Buffalo Sabres beat the Carolina Hurricanes at HSBC tonight to force a Game 7 (not that I play or have control over anything!) Forget the keys for tonight, taking this one game, one period, one shift at a time...time for guys like Dumont and Max to rise to the occassion tonight....all hands on deck defensively, with the top D man logging a ton of minutes...whatever it takes to win MUST be done tonight.... Teppo is being reported as doubtful for tonight...not sure if anyone out there can confirm this but if so it is a bummer...but Game 5 showed me even without 3 of the Sabres Top 4 defensemen...they can overcome this deficit and beat this Canes team. Also...adversity, SO many Stanley Champions face it, and quite a few have overcome deficits, and all in the Conference Finals...94 Rangers did...2000 Devils did (down 3-1)...2002 Red Wings did...2003 Devils (won Game 7 in Ottawa)....so it is not uncommon, especially in recent history, to see teams that eventually won it all have their backs up against the wall...so it CAN be done! LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!
  4. I agree. And I think the Sabres will take the Canes in Game 7 too.... I still cannot believe that penalty call on JP.... Still, Sabres have to find a way to hold onto a 3-1 lead.... But I like the chances the Sabres were able to get in this game...proves they can get things done in Carolina....first things first...let's win at home and get this thing back to Raleigh.
  5. Sabres win Game 5 and wrap things up in Buffalo Tuesday night.
  6. 30 seconds? You must do that a lot then if it's that fast for you.....it seems to be part of your ammo.
  7. yes i did. See I can admit to my shortcomings...unlike some others here on this board.
  8. Nah those days are over..for me now its all about being positive...after all, being overly negative at times means Ill have people like AD looking up my posts so he can get off...and also being called a "fan"...basically challenging how much I love the Sabres....and I totally get that now, I agree with AD...so heck, even if Drury goes down, Sabres will be just fine...whatever move Darcy makes is great....no worries...Sabres win the Cup EASY!!! Because if I say Booo and get upset, I'm not a real fan. So be it.
  9. Absolutely, and the Sabres have plenty of guys in the cupboard in case guys go down...there is NO doubt in my mind everything will be just rosy and wonderful for our beloved Buffalo Sabres!!!! Rah Rah Sabres!!!
  10. Its a sad thing really that you took all that time to research it is more of my point. But again, hey i can be a man and say that I was wrong. If you keep needing to point out mine and other negative comments to give you satisfaction, then good for you. End of discussion on my end.
  11. That is how brainwashing begins. We think there is no other way to watch highlights etc...plenty of other ways to catch highlights etc (FOX Sports, internet, local news stations etc) I barely watch ESPN (I will watch ESPN classic occassionally or if my team is on there and have no other choice) and I am better off for it.
  12. Found an article on Paetsch: Nathan Paetsch The Amerks lead the AHL with a power-play success rate of 23.6 percent. Much of that, naturally, has to do with the point play of Paetsch. At one point this season, Paetsch had the luxury of frolicking with top scorers such as Chris Taylor, Derek Roy and Jason Pominville. But Taylor has been out with a thigh injury and Roy and Pominville are up with Buffalo. That big-picture feel is one reason why Paetsch is one of the most valuable players in the AHL this season. He's the league's equivalent of Packers quarterback Brett Favre, a catalyst under the duress of making things happen with a lesser cast while not forcing something into the teeth of a defense that knows what's coming. At least this kid has had experience playing with a lot of current Sabres...here's hoping he does a good job for the Sabres!
  13. So does anyone know a lot about Nathan Paetsch??? (Tallinder's replacement) Looking at his numbers in the minors, he seemed to have an ability to score...had a decent year at Rochester...is he a good skater? Good on the PP???
  14. Nice to see you are a master of looking up old posts, go pat yourself on the back....and sure I make my statmements and Im not afraid to admit I am dead wrong. Ok, I get too negative...sometimes I care too much about this team, what can I say. If looking up old posts gets you through the day...good for you
  15. Maybe the 2008 election can be a reality show "Presenditial Idol"... Hillary Clinton vs Rudy Guiliani...singing contests....essay contests...stunts....the voter turnout would be great!!!!
  16. I think I saw the white light in the last minute as well!
  17. So because there are moments I have serious doubts about this team, get negative, and think the season might be over...that makes me just a "fan"? Please. Why is being ultra negative at times perceived as not being a true blue fan? This I will NEVER understand. It is another emotion that shows the fan is true blue. Ok, Let me go get some Kool-Aid and all will be rosy. Jillson, Rory and Janik? No problem at all!
  18. Nah, the 2nd round pick acquired for Noronen can step in and play on the blueline Friday night!! This is meant to be a joke...and yes I agree that Darcy deserves a TON if credit for the job he has done this year, no questions asked.
  19. That's true...but what makes things different now is that the Sabres are so thin because of injuries...when you look at Carolina and even Edmonton if we dare to look ahead...the Oilers' depth at D is very strong...because they went out and got some solid blueliners via trade. Winning this series and winning the Cup are going to be even harder to do with these defensive injuries
