  1. Ill let you know where I am after Beer #6
  2. Just had a thought before: I remember some baseball fans saying that it took a miracle comeback for the Sox to finally beat the yankees, almost saying that it would take something so off the wall and unlikely, that it was almost fitting the red sox won the world series by becoming the only team to come back from 0-3 in MB history to win a series. Maybe if you sit and think about it, Sabres are without 4 top d men...and Connolly...all looks bleak and it looks like a typical way for buffalo to lose right? Maybe this is exactly the setting needed for a Buffalo team to break through, rise above almost impossible odds, and win it all. Im trying any good karma at this point!
  3. Can someone copy and paste the article on here as the link is blocked for me. Thanks
  4. Darcy: "Yes, Roman Ndur please....hey Roman, its Darcy! Can you..." Roman: "Im retired Darcy, call Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, he might be available" Darcy: "Nice!"
  5. Cmon now CTM...think of the training these kids go through...staying up till 4am...going through controller after controller after wearing them out or breaking them after losing a game to a freind...think of the pain the "athletes" fingers have to endure... Could you just imagine a play by play of this...."John Smith from Team USA has just used a special move to take a 28-24 lead in the Gold Medal Round of the Madden Challenge..."Look at the way Smith is able to use the L2 button and the big hit button, WHAT talent and guts this kid has!!!"
  6. I got hit from behind sitting in traffic on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn the other day and the POS just got off the exit and i had no way of backing up and going after the POS...luckily though there was no major damage...I HATE that road!!
  7. Darcy: Hello, is Charlie Huddy there please?
  8. I say f it and let it all hang out thee tonight...Miller is very capable of taking a pounding with shots....Carolina's defense is slow, Sabres can moive right around them with their speed...as evidenced in Game 5...
  9. OMG...what's next? I still believe!!!
  10. Mike Williams in middle of NHL playoff mix? Wed May 31, 2006 NASCAR Daily Raleigh Edition has reported that Canes coach Peter Laviolette ran out of players and reporters in the NHL to B word to about the bad ice in Buffalo, the bad fans in Buffalo, and the bad refs. So who did Peter call next? Laviolette contacted Panthers coach John Fox for advice and Fox had a good person in mind to contact: "Why not call Mike Williams in Tampa Bay?" said Fox.."I'm sure he will relate to you being how he was just released by the Bills" Laviolette called Big Mike, and Mr. Williams was courteous and gracious on the phone, as Laviolette bitched and whined some more and even had other anti-Buffalo comments "Even the wings I had at the Anchor Bar were undercooked" Williams responded "That I cannot help you with Mr. Laviolette, see, I devor my wings so fast I don't notice the taste" Williams, in an effort to calm Mr.Laviolette down, has sent him a personalized Tampa Bay Bucs jersey signed by himself. Laviolette was very honored to receive this gift from Mike Williams. More to come as news becomes available. Coming up tomorrow in NASCAR Daily Raleigh Edition: Why Mark Stahl is a true Canes hero.
  11. If the Sabres do make the Finals...coupling that with the Edmonton Oilers being the other team...you know Oilers fans will invade Buffalo...those tickets will cost a mint...personally, Id save the $, buy a large screen LCD TV and watch the games at home...because that is how much you will likely spend.
  12. And I still say potentially robbed of a Game 7 in the 98 ECF with the no call when Holzinger was hauled down late in the 3rd which could have eveen been a PS or a sure PP
  13. question about this Game 7 (and sorry if this was mentioned before): Is this the first Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals in Buffalo Sabres history? I do not recall one in the past (not sure about the 70's though)
  14. Exactly. But Carolina fans might still say the ice is better there. The explanation: Their players can draft better behind their own players in Carolina then in Buffalo.
  15. I'm not one to sit here and get on someone for being overly negative (as I have done in the past)...but they are coming off a BIG win at home in Game 6...can we save this reaction at LEAST after a loss??? Have some faith already! SABRES IN 7!!!!
  16. It certianly slows down my consumption of beer... Wait, that isn't a good thing!
  17. The exchange rate is very close now (1.00 Canadian is equivalent to .91 US) so it not a major difference.
  18. When the overtime started, I started to think about recent moments in Sabres playoff history at home in elimnation games and began to get a little down....98 ECF Joe Juneau.....1999 SCF game 6 Brett Hull's phantom goal...2001 Eastern Conference Semis Game 7 Darius Kasperities OT winner (Hasek's last game) and at this point I just said "F this I still believe, this Sabres team is different" and they showed us how different they are. I cannot recall a Sabres team with more heart then this. Ever. Now I did not see the Sabres teams of the 70's so I stand corrected if there is another team from that era that had more. Worst case scenario if the Canes win Thursday, I am just glad they did not do it in Buffalo, we have seen enough of that over the years to last a lifetime. I think another positive in this series is this: Ward played VERY well..and he has been streaky at times...which is good..and even though Ward played very well last night, the Sabres still won...so let's hope Ward is not sharp tomorrow night, and hopefully the Canes try their goalie swap again and this time it will be too late!!!!
  19. Happy Birthday ajzepp! Maybe you "move all-in" on a hot poker girl and take the pot as well!
  20. As I started to read this thread started by Tom, I was completely stunned...I did not know Paul personally, and that he lost his wife, but anytime someone loses someone that they love so deeply, in many cases it is very hard to move on. I was wondering what happened to him recently, because I have not seen many posts from him, and I often looked forward to seeing what he had to say, Paul appeared to be a good man, very intelligent, witty, and had a good sense of humor. I hope Paul is with his wife now and may God be with Paul's family and friends RIP
  21. Ill tell you what, do not underestimate how crazed these Edmonton Oilers fans are....they travel...did you see how many Oilers fans were in Anaheim the other night?? Look at the prices for tickets in Edmonton already!! Ebay
