Funny how so many claim to not watch ESPN here, but clamor and search and yearn for every opportunity for approval from ESPN about the Bills.

Some of the greatest teams IMO that seem to get overlooked more then they should: NFL: 1984 San Francisco 49ers: 15-1 2nd in the NFL in scoring (475) and 1st in total points allowed (227)...a true balanced team that lost 1 game by 3 points to Pittsburgh. MLB: 1939 New York Yankees: Wait, not the 1927 version? Just because Babe Ruth hit 60 HR's does not mean they are the best team: Run differential? 1927: Scored 975 runs, Allowed 599 runs 1939: Scored 967 runs, Allowed 556 runs...1939 team had 8 guys with 10+ HR's and 7 80+ RBI players....the 1927 version? 3 10+ HR hitters and 4 80+ RBI guys...the 1927 team was more top heavy...the 1939 team was deeper and as good if not better NHL: 1981-1982 New York Islanders: Al Arbor's best team: Goals For: 385 (2nd of 21), Goals Against: 250 (2nd of 21) Mike Bossy and Bryan Trottier both scored 50+...2 other 35+ goal scorers...Billy Smith, underrated defense. Swept the Conference Finals and the Stanley Cup over Quebec and Vancouver.

This. I don't care about the talk anymore when it comes to this franchise. I barely read offseason articles anymore. Why bother? Remember the optimism of past seasons? Means nothing. The media are nothing but a bunch of cherry pickers, picking what is ripe for them to push the right button to get you to react favorably or get so pissed off that you tell your buddies about it and THEY watch, meaning they WIN. End the cycle. Enjoy the season and let the talking happen on the field. I don't need ESPN's validation for that. Stop wanting that. It's pointless.

I think a lot of you are missing what would be the best scenario here: I do find it funny how so many complain about E$PN, the media etc, but downright crave the attention of being on prime time. You want to hope for a Bills prime time game? Hope for a FLEX game...that means we are a clear playoff team or contender!

Sack totals are nice and all, but consent pressure on the QB is another thing, that can really cause a lot of good things to happen for the defense, so I would not obsess over Mario's sack total: Even if he gets 10 and he commands double teams, he makes the defense light years better.

This is a week that most Bills fans will never ever forget!

The culture around this team is much different. T.O would only help at this point. The Bills were exploited a little at WR today. a nice group, but not against elite corners.

Over the past several years, the Gold Standard of the AFC and especially the AFC East has been the Pats. So much energy has been given towards 'slaying the dragon' as SJ13 tweeted before the game, and the Bills FINALLY did that and gave us fans a memory that brought us back to the Glory Years of this franchise, even if that feeling was short lived as the Bills fell in Cincinnati. When things are going great, all is rosy. Players get along. Chemistry is great. Players respect the coach. But what is a TRUE sign of a team that is making a turn for the better? How you react after a tough loss. Oakland was up 18 and lost. New England was up 21 and lost. Both teams the week after these debacles recovered and won against the Jets and Raiders, respectfully. That shows me that both of those teams have what it takes. We knew the Pats do, but I feel the Raiders do as well. Now it is Buffalo's turn. Here come the Philadelphia Eagles, a team that you and I know will be EXTREMELY desperate for a win. 1-4 will almost certifiably mean the Eagles will not make the playoffs. Can they recover? Sure the Eagles COULD, but those odds are VERY long against them. This reminds me a little of 2003, when the Buffalo Bills were 2-1 off a tough loss at Miami on a Sunday Night, and the Eagles came in 0-2 off of a bye week really needing a win, and we all know how that turned out (yours truly was at that Eagles game) and this sent the Bills spiraling down and they finished 6-10. Now it is 2011. Can the Bills TRULY turn the corner? We will see on Sunday.

I would not be surprised if Belicheat has a chat with refs during the week about how the game ended against Buffalo for him and perhaps that played a 'small' role against the Bengals. Nothing would TOTALLY shock me.

I do not think it is entirely coincidental that the Bills suffer through a terribly officiated game the week after beating the Pats*.

I see 1-3 coming up 4-4 going into the 2nd half of the season

I see 24-19 Cincinnati. But if we lose, it is no reason to push the panic button.
