The Bills need to flush out EVERYONE: Brandon, Overdorf, Whaley all the way down, hire a President with football experience who has complete control over decisions and can help the Pegulas make GM and HC decisions. Transparent. One voice. Its amazing how much of a mess the Bills look right now. Guess money does not fix everything.

Truthfully I have been in the camp of 'the best QB for the team' and while I have never been a fan of Cassel since his days with the Pats* I have been one to support EJ but even I can see he has virtually zero shot to win this starting QB job. EJ just makes some maddening throws at times, and then he makes throws that few QB's can make. But despite this, his 58.6% completion percentage is widely criticized (and I can understand that) but Matt Cassel has a 59% completion percentage. So what is the real difference there? To me starting Cassel would be a mistake because we pretty much know what we will get. Orton from USC. Could the Bills win 10 with Cassel? If you factor in our huge coaching upgrade and better OL play to be expected, sure I can see that happening. But the ceiling isn't as high IMO when you compare it to EJ and Taylor. EJ and Tyrod Taylor both have inaccuracy issues, but where Taylor separates himself is his poise, leadership in the pocket, and his ability to make a more explosive play with his feet. Ad Taylor has been in the NFL longer, and learned from Flacco and a top organization. That to me is huge. He is ahead of the curve. Could EJ blossom later in his career? Maybe. With the right coaching and working on the shorter throws, he can be. But for now to be its clear: Start Tyrod Taylor Week 1 against Indy.

Agreed. And this is why Buffalo, as an organization, needs to be focused on building that culture of winning, sticking to a style that best suits the elements we play in, and strive to be a contender every season. And what you hope for is, it all comes together that one season and you win it all.

I think we should ask ourselves: What can the Buffalo Bills do to get to Seattle's level. Because as presently constructed, following the Seattle model is a more realistic path to build the Bills, the Pats* are unlike any other team in NFL History, kind of like how Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens enjoyed their best years after 38...see where I'm going there?

Networks like the NFL Network and ESPN will always want high profile/borderline shady characters at some level because they are interesting to watch and people will tune in to watch. Nobody like to watch boring.

MLB system is not a joke. Look at the World Series teams since 2000 vs the NFL and the numbers are a lot closer then a NFL fan would realize: MLB: 17 different teams have made it to the World Series NFL: 18 different franchises have made it to the Super Bowl The whole 'salary cap keeps things so much more competitive' argument to me is a bit overrated.

I guess my biggest question from what is bolded above is this: Who pushed for Kaep to be a stationary QB? Could it be the OC the Buffalo Bills just hired?

Now envision this: What if hiring Mike Shanahan also brings the Bills Jay Cutler who enjoyed his best years in a Shanahan offense PLUS coupled with the fact this would be the best defense that Shanahan has EVER had as a coach INCLUDING the Denver years. The more I think about it: The more I think Shanahan makes sense. Redskins? Shanahan blew up that team? Ask the other litany of coaches ousted out of Washington about that owner. Snyder IS the problem in DC.

I agree with the comments regarding getting people food, water, and safe. That is top priority. Move the game to Toronto if you must, or play Tuesday. Having said this, anyone here who has been hit hard by this, stay safe and I wish the best for you and your families
