The reason E$PN dosent like the NHL is because the NHL does not have the Kobe/Shaq soap operas or Domink Hasek does not have a Ray Lewis type dance when he goes on the ice. NHL players are too boring for them. And I say screw E$PN anyway. Id rather see the NHL on local TV and Centre Ice packages anyway.

I imagine you could label last week as a cold weather game. Depends on the defintion.

I did read that article and you are right, its not ALL the attention, but those articles are few and far between. If the season is cancelled, Im never going back to the NHL as a fan.

Couldnt agree more millbank. Unfortunately many American sports fans have been brainwashed by E$PN and other stations that the NHL is irrelevant because a lot of new sportscasters that have been hired do not care about hockey, so instead of handling some calls from hockey fans and doing their job because their shows are called "All Sports Stations" when its truly not, Im sure the call screener says "call back another time" and hosts of sports shows just put down hockey because they refuse to do their homework on the sport. Very sad. The NHL also sufferes in another aspect: If only a Desperate Housewive would jump into Sergei Fedorov's arms, maybe if NHL players just talked more smack in general, E$PN would recognize them more. Oh well.

gantrules, unfortunately sports fans have been trained to believe its ALL or NOTHING, and in certian situations, that is sad. The Braves are a model of consistency and excellence in baseball, no matter how you slice it. If more teams would take a look at how they do things and follow their model, MLB would be more competitive across the board.

Unfortunately the Yankees arent about the future anymore. Ultimately this will be George's biggest mistake. Watch.

How so?? Im a Sabres fan too, when other NHL teams buy players I dont whine. In a Yankees fan too. Im tired of always hearing about money. Its NOT all about the money, its part of it absolutely, but people talk as if huge payrolls equals guaranteed championships.
