"If they can't resolve this dispute through traditional negotiations and compromise, then the PokerRoom.com tournament offers them the best, and quickest, way to declare a winner and let the fans enjoy hockey again before it's too late. With no downloads required to play and the tournament hosted on-line, Mr. Bettman and Mr. Goodenow can easily take on the challenge from their respective offices in New York and Toronto." The NHL and the players' association met last week in Toronto and the league made a counter-proposal to the players submission of last week. Both parties have rejected the other's proposal and no date has been set for future negotiations.

I do not understand why anyone would see this as "being afraid"....as Bills fans, we want the team to win the last 2 games and with Pitt winning this weekend, almost another MUST for our playoff chances, the Bills chances HAVE to be improved with the Steelers sitting players, who would pass that up??? Another positive: NE beats the Jets this week and rebounds....thus setting up a scenario where the Jets will travel to St Louis in a must win situation....St Louis plays a Philly team on Monday Night that for sure will rest starters...if they win they will probably have something to play for with Bulger back....this would give the Bills a chance to win a tie breaker and get in.

So whats does that mean? Since Buffalo beat Miami a few weeks ago, and Miami beat NE, based on that alone the Bills are better them New England?!?!?

The AFC East for the next 2-3 years will most likely be the roughest division in the NFL. New England will still be one of the top teams in the NFL Jets are a team on the rise and will be a contender (its tough to admit but I believe thats true) Buffalo is clearly on the rise and may be a legitimate SB contender as early as '05 Miami has shown recently the cupboard isnt dry and can make a solid recovery via FA and te draft. I wish Buffalo can transfer to another divsion!! Thoughts?

Bills from 2001-2004 were one of the lowest at creating turnovers, especially INT's. 2003 Vikings defense had 28 INT's , now the Vikes' Defense have 9 in 2004. Antoine Winfield went to Minny this year... Coincidence? Im really starting to wonder.
