I heard that the big snag in this deal was that Javier Vasquez refused to take a physical, anyone else read or hear the same thing??? Alaska Darin I agree, I thought LA was getting the best of this deal long term, besides a torrid 2 month stretch a couple fo years ago, Shawn Green has been a BIG disappointment for the Dodgers, all of the sudden he is indespensable? Brad Penny and Javier IMO cancel each other out.

I think one of the bigger problems the NBA is two of the biggest markets available (New York and Chicago) are basically dead. If you put Lebron in NYC and Kevin Garnett in Chicago, I bet people's perception of the NBA would change a bit. Having said that, I agree that the game is too much one-on-one these days, the NBA has to find a way to change that. Personally Id move BACK the 3 pt line, the 3 point line where it is now is too temepting thus lowering FG%.

I think the Baltimore, Jacksonville, Denver,and Jets games are all equal in importance. I doubt all 4 of these will happen, but if it is three of the four teams INCLUDING the Jets, that is ideal, because if the Jets did lose at St. Louis, we would only need to root for a Jets loss and a Bills win to get into the postseason. The beautiful thing about all this as a Bills fan is, and LABillzFan mentioned this very well in a previous thread, at LEAST we are talking about playoff scenarios and not about the NFL Draft in late December. Im just thankful for that.

My most memorable bowl ever was the Fiesta Bowl, AKSA the 1986 National Title game, Penn State vs Miami...it was a HUGE Upset, and being a PSU fan and seeing that Nittany Lions team play the game of their lives, was oh so sweet.
