  1. I needed an OT post to break up the disappointment of the day after. LOL California to Anaheim to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?!?!!? Angels Angels change name to include Los Angeles Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles officially now has two major league baseball teams. On Monday, the Anaheim Angels announced they have changed their name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. This change is effective immediately. This marks the third time in the last decade the team has changed its name. From 1965 until 1996 the club was known as the California Angels. Walt Disney Co. then agreed to buy the team and the club converted its name to the Anaheim Angels in 1997. The Los Angeles region is the second largest media market in the nation and includes the counties of Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside. According to the team, the 'A' brand that is synonymous with Angels baseball will remain at the focal point in marketing. In December 1960 the expansion Los Angeles Angels were awarded to a group that included Gene Autry. The Angels played at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles in 1961 and then moved to Chavez Ravine, now Dodger Stadium, in 1962 and remained there through the 1965 season. In 1966 the team moved to its current location in Anaheim. The building was first known as Anaheim Stadium and the name, along with cosmetic changes to the structure, was changed to Edison Field in 1998. When the Angels signed a lease for Edison Field there was a provision that the team include the city of Anaheim within its name. However, that didn't prevent new owner Arte Moreno from deciding to rename his club the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Moreno was introduced as the owner of the franchise in May 2003.
  2. Even though most of the Stiller fans I met at the game were civil, I agree the site of seeing all those towels made me sick.
  3. Maybe that is what i was thinking about. The Bills played a meaningless game at the Redskins that year right? And I believe Thurman had 5 carries for 0 yards and the Bills lose, they had homefield wrapped up.
  4. In all seriousness, I knew he didnt come here for awhile...I was wondering if he was gone for good...I missed a few days over the holidays LOL
  5. Didnt Marv hold out Thurman Thomas in a game at home against the Lions for the benefit of the TEAM going forward in the playoffs when Thurman had the NFL lead in rushing and Emmitt win the title? Im not 100 percent sure of the accuracy, if someone can clarify that for me it would be appreciated Homgren was thinking about getting a HOME playoff game. Shame on him for not thinking in a more $elfi$h way. Cmon!
  6. If you look at the sets the Bills were running out of shotgun yesterday (2 RB, 3 WR's just about ALL game) that tellls you what you need to know about Drew. The coaches obviously do not have confidence in Drew against teams like the Steelers, so they call the most conserative of the shotgun formations to keep 2 RB's to protect Drew, thus this decreases the WR's chances of getting open, thus Drew holds the ball too long, thus Drew gets sacked.
  7. Perhaps, but if Clements didnt make a big play and score a TD, who knows what would have happened either. Bledsoe was pitiful. Period.
  8. So I guess he is putting $ ahead of his team then correct, and thats the right thing to do right? Its not like Alexander is hurting for money. Gotta love the Me Generation...man times have changed.
  9. I agree gantrules...thats the article where i got the quote from...I read that and almost fell off my chair. What a joke.
  10. You are right. And there was still time left in the game too!! Seahawks could have easily gotten the ball back after that Hasselbeck TD and then Selfish Alexander could have gotten his carries.
  11. I usually dont agree with this nimrod but I do agree with that comment.
  12. Id say the Colts, since we all know Manning is more selfish then anyone else (sarcasm off)
  13. I agree...and if Thurman's Helmet reads this, maybe then he will realize what a selfish player means...instead of obsessing about Manning.
  14. On a day when the Seahawks won the NFC West by less than 3 feet, Alexander came a yard short of the NFL's rushing title. A yard he believes he could have gotten on Seattle's last offensive play, when the Seahawks were at second-and-one on the Atlanta Falcons' 1-yard line. For three straight plays, Alexander carried the ball from the Falcons' 16 to the shadow of the end zone. Then, instead of handing off to Alexander for the crowning run that would have tied him with the Jets' Curtis Martin with 1,697 yards, Holmgren called for a quarterback sneak. He sent Matt Hasselbeck lunging over the line, passing arm outstretched, until Hasselbeck disappeared in a pile of Falcons jerseys. "We were going to win anyway, we were on the freaking goal line, and I got stabbed in the back," Alexander said in the locker room afterward before being quieted by a Seahawks media-relations employee. Is this guy serious????
  15. I just never ever felt confortable with Drew under Center...at anytme during their run...Drew has his good moments yes, but overall this has to be the end of the line for Drew with the Bills. So is he not around anymore by choice, was he booted?
  16. I just had to. It was there and it had to be said LOL
  17. Wait, is he gone??? Seriously, if he is I didnt know
  18. Do you still stick by Drew???? If you do, PLEASE enlighten me with anything....I try to think of anything and I cannot... Say what you want about ICE too...he is dead on about Bledsoe.
  19. I agree....the Bills improved by 3 games this year...not a bad feat in NFL game terms...and there are building blocks. I think the theme for the 2004 Buffalo Bills should be "It was never as good at it seemed, but never as bad as it seemed" Bills were never a 30th type team in the NFL, but they werent a 5th or 7th best team either. I would say right now the Bills are somewhere between the 10th and 15th best team in the league. There is more work to be done.
  20. I dont set the bar lower as a fan..of course winning the SB is the ultimate goal....but if the Bills happened to have a player who indivuidually excelled like noone else has (for example, OJ in 1973 was an exceptional accomplishment at the time and still is) that player should be applauded for their excepectional accomplishment. So are you implying that Manning isnt really a "team" player and his efforts arent SOLELY about winning the Super Bowl???
  21. So you lump us ALL of of us Bills fans into that "silly" category?? Please!!!! I use my head when thinking about football, I know the Bills arent in the Pats league...not like you who likes to rip Manning because he doesnt have a ring...and call his accomplishments "worthless" if he dosent win the SB.... Ill say this right now Bills fans...IF that day EVER comes and thats a BIG IF....that the Bills win the Super Bowl....PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT become like Patsies fans...where rings are EVERYTHING and even if players have a GREAT season (Manning) if they have no rings its worthless...because that kind of thinking will make you sound dumb...REAL REAL dumb.
  22. Great news NCBillsfan!! God bless you, your wife, and your son
