  1. I hate to say it, but I agree with your thought process. Cna the Bills be a SB contender? Sure, but the QB position NEEDS to be strong....I agree NE and Pitt will be there in the end next yr, probably the Colts (depending on Edge) and maybe the Chargers, if they werent a 1 year wonder, and maybe the Jets. But there are also other AFC teams who can make that claim of being "on the cusp": 1. Baltimore Ravens- they are way under the cap, I bet their get an impact WR, and their schedule this past season was BRUTAL 2. Jacksonville Jags- Another team that can improve this offseason and are on the cusp, much like the Bills 3. Cincinnati Bengals- Palmer will b eeven better in 05, if they keep Rudi and fill a few holes defensively, they can make a big leap forward. Its not going to be easy in this conference.
  2. My first thought was that too, but it just seems the Vikings cannot decide on a #1 RB and Bennett dosent seem to have the durability to be a #1 RB for an entire year (Onterrio Smith is the wildcard of that bunch). And maybe with AW and Ted Cottrell in Minny, that may influence the Vikings to look into this move, who knows. VABills brought up another good point about Moe, excellent blocker and good and picking up the blitz as well. And people may say "Only a 4th rounder and Moe for Henry??!?! Are you nuts?!?!"...Moe would KNOW his role, wouldnt B word like Henry, and he would make their RB core more versitale.
  3. Lets say the Vikings do not want to part with a 2nd round pick, and there are no other good offers out there for Henry....maybe it would be a good idea for the Bills to ask the Vikings for RB Moe Williams and maybe a 4th round pick as an example. Here are some of the assets to having a guy like Moe Williams on the Bills: 1. He is used to being a backup RB, so he will know his role behind McGahee. 2. He has been productive as a starter in the short term, which could be crucial for the Bills heaven forbid Willis McGahee ever went down with an injury. 3. He is good in short yardage goal line situations, as evidenced by his 18 TD's in his last 3 seasons, and he can catch the ball out of the backfield (65 receptions in 2003), so he would be a nice saftey valve for whomever is under center for the Bills come the start of 2005. Im not even sure if Moe would be available, but it is an option I wouldnt mind seeing the Bills consider. Thoughts?
  4. I feel sick...really I do....I just dont get it..the Jets??!?!?!
  5. Im just testing Bills fans sanity here, want to make sure their hated of the Eagles isnt that high...still dont understand this rooting for the Pats business.
  6. I really think the key to a good resume is: Make sure it flows well- AKA Easy for them to read Make sure that when they ask about your experience you are able to provide information that is clear and easy for them to understand So if you need 2 pages to do that, do it.
  7. Thanks! I just took the advice of a well-respected poster here on TBD!
  8. Im sure NE will get top level coordinators...remember there is no salary cap for hiring coaches so teams like NE will pay for the top coaches if need be.
  9. I was JUST gonna post that too!! Im sure Yahoo or CNN will blame GWB somehow. But having said that, I hope she is ok
  10. Thats true..its like when the Yankees were in the midst of winning 3 WS Championships in a row and id go to Shea for a game and hear "Yankees Suck" Id laugh....just like now if i would say "Red Sox Suck", they dont, they are the WS Champs. I think this issue with Eagles fans etc has to do with personal experience. Here in Central NJ, its mostly Giants/Jets fans, but there are a good share of Eagles fans as well. A few of my close friends are die hard Eagles fans, and they have all been to Buffalo with me for a game at the Ralph, and loved the experience there, they were impressed with the taligating and the passion that Buffalo shows for their team. They were also by my side rooting hard for the Bills in our Super Bowls. So now its my turn to return the favor. I have seen a lot of wacky stuff at the Vet over the years, Eagles fans fighting each other too! In 1990 (I was 16 at the time) I attended an Eagles game with my buddy, and I wore my Bruce Smith jersey (in the 700 level, mind you!). It was the dya the Bills hosted the Broncos, so my eyes were glued to the out of town scoreboard! When the Bills scored those 3 TD's in 77 seconds or so, and took the lead, I saw that 21 point change (and this was during a commerical break), I went NUTS, jumping up and down, and I had a pretzel thrown at me!!! Soon after that an Eagles fans run up to me yelling "is that a Giants jersey!?!?!" I said "No, No, Bruce Smith!", and they said "ok thats cool", I was relieved
  11. Where exactly in my 1st post did I BASH the Pats? I just dont like them...do i respect their accomplishments? Sure, but dont expect me to bend over for them....I hate them, but man they are an amazing team.
  12. In the early 90's, Giants fans would tell me for SB's 26-28 "Im rooting for the NFC" and that used to drive me NUTS, how could you root for a team you DESPISE like the Redskins or the Cowboys, because of a conference? WTF is that all about? Which is why I can NEVER root for a conference, I just root for the team I want to see win more.
  13. Again, how can any Bills fan root for the Pats? Say what you want about Eagles fans, they are suffering like Bills fans, they are passionate about their team, and BOTH of our stadiums have courts setup in the stadiums...and since the Linc was built and replaced the Vet, it has cut down on the amount of "animals" that attend the games there. And believe you me, I know all about bad Eagles fans, Ive been to 14 games at the old Vet and one at the Linc.
  14. Just curious what is your favorite/most memorable Super Bowl ever (exclusing the ones the Bills participated in) Mine is SB 23 Cincy vs San Fran..great game and I loved seeing Cincy lose after seeing the Bills lose the 88 AFC Championship game at Cincy.... Yours?
  15. To this day, Nintendo Ice Hockey is still one of the best, if not the best, game to play versus someone else...an absolute classic!!
