  1. Really? I didnt know that (sarcasm off) You make 25K a year, you are probably RENTING anyway, richer people CAN recover easier then poor ones, you are telling me the value of their houses havent gone up? Im sure it has, and Im sure a good amount of these players have some good assets they can sell to survive! Oh the horror of some of these poor players to be normal!!! Most of the players can go :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: themself, I PRAY the Sabres are contracted and I hope the league goes under. Im done with this subject.
  2. I dont hate them because they are rich...I just dont want to hear sob stories about these players, join the club, plenty of NORMAL people out there who face WORSE problems.
  3. These guys make 30-40K a year or something? Please, I have NO $ympahty for anyone involved with that crap league...and I got laid off, I dont expect sympathy either....but I know they are all spoiled babies...so its overhwleming for them to think like a NORMAL person with NORMAL financial issues.

  15. You can bet your bottom dollar there is still negogiating going on in each corner...whomever blinks 1st that briges the gap closer is ALL it will take....becuase you know DAMN well egos are a part of this...if one side comes down or up 2-3 mil...then the side that REJECTS the offer will be looked at as the pieces of stevestojan....theres still time!
  16. They arent smart enough to see that logic.
  17. I couldnt agree more...this is a f'in joke already...BOTH sides equally...to me you have to blame both sides.... I do not know if I will follow this league anymore if this becomes official..Im on the fence.
  18. Another update from tsn.ca: The NHL's deadline for the Players' Association to accept its $42.5 million hard cap proposal has passed, and all signs point to commissioner Gary Bettman announcing the cancellation of the 2004-2005 season at a 1pm et/10am pt news conference in New York (live on TSN and TSN.ca). The league has already sent out memos to its teams that it has not contacted the union since Tuesday night, and the season will be cancelled.
  19. 11am was the deadline that Bettman imposed for the union to accept their $42.5M hard cap offer....Bettman's PC is scheduled for 1pm.....I know I may sound nuts, but a lot can happen in 2 hrs.
  20. Update from tsn.ca: The NHL's deadline for the Players' Association to accept its $42.5 million hard cap proposal has passed, and all signs point to commissioner Gary Bettman announcing the cancellation of the 2004-2005 season at a 1pm et/10am pt news conference in New York (live on TSN and TSN.ca). Neither side has contacted each other since late Tuesday night, when the NHL and the union stood pat with a $6.5 million gap.
