Bingo. No salary cap on coaching means there will still be a separation between teams in the league. And with the salary cap era making teams more mediocre across the board, coaching has become maybe the #1 factor. Bills will NEVER land a high profile coach. The Bills coach, like Marv, will have to make himself high profile.

I agree the defense has been bad, especially against the run...but do you think the offense would have been as anemic in the NO game or the Falcons game, I think not, and that would have given the defense more time off the field to help the Bills chances. Actually the more I think about it, why couldnt the Bills have won both against Atlanta and at New Orleans with at least decent QB play????

Im not putting up 0-8, 1-7, 7-1 and 8-0 for realistic purposes.... I voted for 4-4.....I bet the Bills win that Atlanta game with Kelly in the lineup.....and wouldnt this board be whistling a different tune about this team if they were 4-4?

1. Change defensive approach, maybe not overpursuing and giving up big running plays would be a start. 2. Stick with Holcumb until he proves otherwise that you shouldnt. Seriously, who cares if he isnt a big time prospect? he is 32, and he has never really gotten a chance to play long term. Let him play. And make JP EARN the spot going forward, just dont throw him the keys without a open competition in 2006. 3. Get Roscoe Parrish more involved in the offense. 4. Incorporate more deep passing plays into playbook, especially for Lee Evans.

Its funny we never heard these things when the Bills were winning a lot of games...its unbelievable, its like clockwork... Team dosent win enough = lack of effort, no heart etc....just face facts, the Bills just arent that good.
