  1. 1. When an NFL coach mentions that a drive took the sail out of our wind, that comment is worth two points. 2. When punting from the 33 yard line at home, the other team will automatically be pinned at the 1 yard line. 3. When a receiver catches a ball, and goes backwards two yards before trying to go forward, that is an automatic first down. 4. If a natural disaster strikes any city other then Buffalo, Buffalo will be granted 1 additional home game.
  2. Dreaming of Leinart?? Why?? Who??? Not ONCE have I thought about Leinart on the Bills.
  3. NYC NEW YORK - Subways and buses ground to a halt Tuesday morning as transit workers walked off the job following days of acrimonious labor talks. The walkout threatened to plunge the city into chaos by forcing more than 7 million daily riders to find new ways to get around. Authorities began locking turnstiles and shuttering subway entrances shortly after the Transport Workers Union ordered the strike. The city began bracing for a rush hour filled with disorder. At one subway booth, a handwritten sign read, "Strike in Effect. Station Closed. Happy Holidays!!!!" At Penn Station, an announcement over the loudspeaker told people to "please exit the subway system." Mayor Michael Bloomberg began putting into effect a sweeping emergency plan to reduce gridlock and keep certain streets open for emergency vehicles. It included requiring cars coming into Manhattan below 96th Street to have at least four occupants.
  4. Which is why I wouldnt be opposed to dealing Biron
  5. Well if Teflon Tom is still here.....Mooch would go from working with one below average GM to another...should be a seamless transition
  6. And Houston plays San Francisco the last week of the season. Boy that game could be interesting!
  7. And he didnt cost Darcy a dime, that's his kind of move!
  8. Sabres have another fan as well: Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan may just be the surprise free agent signing for the Buffalo Sabres this season. Ronan Tynan? The outstanding Irish Tenor? No, Tynan isn't going to be skating for the Sabres. But from an inspirational, motivational or even luck standpoint, Tynan may just be the little extra ingredient that Buffalo might need to make the Stanley Cup playoffs this year. For those old enough to remember, it was Kate Smith who was given credit as being the good luck charm for helping the Philadelphia Flyers win back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974-75. It seemed as though when Smith sang her rendition of "God Bless America" the Flyers almost never lost.
  9. And do not forget Tomas Vanek...who IMO has the most pure talent on the Sabres roster....Id be willing to bet a lot of cash he will become a legitimate 40-50 goal scorer.
  10. It only took 1 post for someone to ignore an otherwise well thought out and good post by you. Bills just REALLY need to make #1 priority the OL in FA and/or the Draft, and dont get tempted into the "best player available" thing...stay the course. If the Bills upgrade the OL, they can afford to go 4 WR's and even 5 more often, now it seems they cannot...
  11. Bingo!!! And listen, Nate hasnt played well (his play is giving me serious thought to changing my screename on TBD LOL)....but in the long run, maybe Nate having a subpar season is GOOD for the Bills...we all know he can play better, maybe the Bills can bring him back for a bit le$$ then we thought, plus fix the DL holes, get Takeo back, and get another solid corner, and Nate's play will improve.
  12. This much I agree with. Its like last week, Eagles got EMBARASSED on Monday night at home vs Seattle. The next week vs the Giants, they played hard, tough football and covered. I can see the same from Buffalo tonight.
  13. First off, what is the scoring criteria for your defenses....points for under 100 rushing yards...under 200 passing etc???
  14. True, but you knew going into that offseason the Bills were in cap HELL and major changes and cuts were going to take place.
  15. I wouldnt worry about that too much to be honest. and even if TD does, its CLEAR he needs to go.
  16. Vanek WILL be better then Satan. Thats a guarantee!!!!
  17. Tom Donahaue came into town when the Bills were totally down, provided a spark in the team with signings such as Spikes, Adams, trading for Bledsoe etc....a lot of us, including myself, thought we might have had the right guy to bring the Bills back to becoming a playoff team and a SB contender again.... Boy is that proving to be wrong, looks like he had a lot of us fooled. Darcy Regier, since becoming Sabres GM, has watched the team decline, has been a target of lots of criticism from Buffalo fans (including myself) over the years, and especially this past offseason, when Darcy stood pat for the most part while letting former 40 goal scorer Miroslav Satan leave town along with Alexei Zhitnik. But it might appear the Regier might have had another eye on what could change in the NHL (maybe), but whatever he didnt do or do, the Sabres are a true TEAM, and seem to have a much clearer direction and a more promising future then the Buffalo Bills do at this point. Amazing how fast things can change in sports, isn't it?
  18. Ok Smerlas thinks hes Rob Johnson? Ok, is decided, cut JP!!
  19. Not a bad crowd for a Wednesday...Buffalo needs to get behind this team
  20. Wait, dont EVER say anything bad about the NFL, the NFL is PERFECT!! (sarcasm off) How is the crowd tonight? Good attendence??? Cannot watch the game from here
  21. Just like John Fox never won anything either, but boy wouldnt we want him right about now? Or John Gruden when he was first hired, didnt win anything either... I understand your concerns, but evne hiring a retread HC has risk.
  22. A few friends of mine here in Jersey are big time Eagles fans and they said he would make a very good HC someday...and I know some will compare Childress to Mularkey, but IMO there is no comparison...Childress's resume is MUCH better.
