I give you credit, this is well thought out post, and what I like most about it is your emphasis on upgrading the OL and DL.

And the 1st time might be TWICE... Is it accurate to say that if Pittsburgh or Carolina win....they will be the only team(s) to advance to the Super Bowl and win 3 straight road games to do it???

Oh and yeah, Tin Man plays INDOORS and has OPTIMAL elements to succeed in the passing game. If Haslett is the choice, jsut make sure to get a solid OC and DC....but more then anything, UPGRADE the OL and DL, and build this team around the running attack and the defense, not smallish WR's who will struggle in bad weather games!

If you all thought GW was conservative punting on that 4th and 3 in the game against NE in 2002.....having Marty Ball here will make that seem gutsy. Give up compenstation for a coach in my eyes should only be for TOP of the line guys. Marty is decent, but you know we will only go so far with Marty.
