  1. Vanek with his 2nd of the night!!! He has shaked his slump it seems! Always SWEET beating the Leafs!!!
  2. I just hope this year does not become Bob Corkum II. Sabres need "something"...dont want to sell the ranch, but they need a boost, especially when you look at the upcoming schedule.
  3. LETS GO SABRES!!!!!!!!!!! What do you guys think the Sabres should do...make a deal, Sabres are very thin at Center now... I was thinking that maybe the Sabres should give the Blues a call and inquire about Doug Weight or Mike Sillinger Thoughts?
  4. Good points, did not think of it that way. Regardless of whether or not the Bills stay at a 4-3 or 3-4, they really need another solid DE.
  5. Still though, would you reject this female tennis hottie if she wanted it? I sure wouldnt
  6. "We salute you, Mr Coordinator of a defense who never showed up against good offenses"
  7. Personally I would welcome the switch to the 3-4 defense. When run correctly and with the right personnel, that defense seems to succeed more often then not. With Spikes (hopefully healthy) and Fletcher, I think its realistic to think the Bills can move to a 3-4 style.
  8. We can sit here and debate whether Fairchild was a good hire or not....if Bates is the right guy for the job etc....as for me yeah, Im boring...Im neutral...and not so much for the reason of "wait till the season" Lets be honest. There are more bright minds out there in the NFL world then we realize. Sure there are a lot of duds, but there are a lot of coordinators and coaches (at least I believe) who have great ideas but have not lived up to expectations. A reason that I believe this happens is that the talent on the team does not matchup with the Head Coach or Coordinator's strengths. Having said this, the real key to the Bills improvements in 2006 and in the near future is to ensure the players that are being brought in from FA or the Draft are in line with what the coordinators and the coach want to do. And this is why on the surface I am willing to give Jauron a chance, because at least Jauron and Levy seem to have a great chance to have a solid working relationship.
  9. I agree with what FFS said in his post, especially this point. As for the OL, I would rather see the Bills target the expereinced OL in FA so the Bills KNOW what they are getting from the OL versus what COULD BE. It appears that the Bills have talent at the skill position on offense to succeed right now (Willis, Evans, Moulds) Go out and get proven guys on the OL to best utilize that talent. And you know what? if the OL play improves and the skill position players production does NOT improve that much, then the Bills know they have to make some changes in the skill positions. For once and for all, lets find out if a guy like Willis is worth holding onto for years to come. While most of us here realize there is a lot of work to do to get the Bills to legitimate SB contender status, the Bills do need to show improvements sooner then later, so landing a very good LT or C that can be succesful right now to me makes more sense, and not paying to move up in the draft so the Bills can have a well balanced draft.
  10. Yes we should find new sources of value, by getting rid of ideas that have NO value, like this one.
  11. Who said anything about Levy= Polian and Jauron= Don Shula?? And you are commending someone for being realistic when you yourself makes unrealistic comments? What else would you propose for this franchise? The ELITE coaches will NOT come to Buffalo, they just wont, and that is for factors beyond ownership (location, prestigious job etc) Bottom line: The Bills MUST have great drafts and make solid FA choices first before worrying all that much about the coaching. Great players can make average coaches look real good. Buffalo has to CREATE an elite coach, they cannot hire one. And please do not tell me Sherman is elite, because he is not.
  12. My take on the Connolly injury: I understand the reasons why Lindy is upset, and why the Sabres are making strong comments about Kasparaitis. Honestly though, I thought Darius's hit wasnt dirty, but like AD said, wasnt really necessary. Hip checks are a lost art form (remember the days when Mike Ramsey used to use the hip check?) If another d-man on the Rangers gave out that hip check (Roszival, Tutin etc) I thnk the reaction would have been different. Kasparaitis has a bad reputation, and that reputation carries along with you when you have that kind of reputation.
  13. To quote a Sopranos Episode: Let's go... Listen, uncle junior, remember... I always thought you could make the pros. You could have done it. You had a swing like joe d. You're crazy. What, you think i'm $h!tn' you? Yeah, I could barely hit 250. That's because you didn't want it. Too busy chasing skirt. Chasing skirt your average was 500.
  14. That made me nervous thats for sure! Big 4 point swing in the standings...with some of the teams in the East flying up on the backend of the Top 8 (NJ, Atlanta to a point)...its impreative the Sabres keep getting points now before the schedule gets real rough
  15. How so?? what is Jauron careeer record as Buffalo Bills coach again???
  16. I have changed my avatar to give the new Head Coach a chance....he has not lost a game yet, nothing bad has happened yet.. As a Bills fan who has been a negative thinker plenty of times over the years, Im going to change once and for all. I am sick and tired of the new way of thinking amongst sports fans, not willing to give a player/coach a chance, always thinking negative, etc. How do we KNOW Jauron will work out or not??? Just give him a chance to prove himself, have some patience. This Bills roster needsa lot of work, give it time. Seattle wasnt built overnight, it took PATIENCE and BUILDING piece by piece to become the team they are today. Same goes for the Steelers. So yeah, I give Jauron my 100 percent support...dont hate me! Go BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Honesty is always appreciate on TBD. Im with you on that BTW
  18. Thanks for bringing the facts and sort of backing up my points
  19. Please tell me how "you knew" Marv would be a great hire in 1986....like Pats fans "knew" Brady woould be great BEFORE Drew got hurt? Yeahhhh... Or did you wait and see what happens and not have E$PN idiots on radio stations and talk show analysts forulate opinions FOR you??????
