Could someone please explain to me why I should
gmac17 replied to Pete's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
hey hey hey - we finally got a real response. Although I disagree with Joe on most of these, you gotta give him credit. Some of these though are very fuzzy. I mean it's easy to say: but what does that really mean? Do you think we currently have tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas? We don't. If a company moves a job overseas they don't have to pay s.s. taxes and the like, but that's not really a tax break. Then you get to this bit: Again, another nebulous concept. Ok, so if I hire more people here at my factory in the U.S., you are going to give me a tax break. Excellent!!! Except, when big American companies do that, and they get tax breaks, people flip out and talk about how terribly evil big business is with all of their tax breaks. Got news for you - France and Germany were on the take from Iraq. That's why they didn't support us. That and the fact that deep down they want the U.S. to be taken down a peg or two in the world order. Again, at least you had some real answers. -
NO - It's the saudis keeping their promise to drop prices before the election....

Wrong. Guess what school systems have and spend the most money? It's generally not the suburban ones. I've been in more schools with brand new computers that the stupid teachers can't even figure out how to turn on....

a typo, a typo, look how dumb he is!!!! Well, a lot of people felt safe on September 10th, 2001 but doing nothing and hoping the bad guys didn't attack us didn't help very much then. We won't know if Iraq was a good idea or a bad idea for a few more years. Until then, I certainly won't vote for the guy who voted against getting Sadaam out of Kuwait in 1991, or who wants terrorism to be "just a nuisance", or who TOOK A POLL to see what Americans thought of the latest Bin Laden tape before he commented on it. Bush has A LOT of faults, too bad the dems couldn't get anybody better to run against him.

Mickey, What are your thoughts on the Clinton audio? I understand the 9/11 commission findings, but it seems as though there is more to it. Why would clinton say that? And if the 9/11 commission is the official gospel there are a number of people who need to apologize about the uranium in africa stuff.... -
it was classic. "The coaches asked me if i'd do it, and I said I'll give it a shot but I don't know how good I'll be....."

BBC Correspondent Cries for Arafat
gmac17 replied to SilverNRed's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
the best was the time arafat was in nyc and went to the met or lincoln center for some event. Rudy G found out he was in the house and wouldn't let the performance start until arafat was gone..... -

I didn't care for baseball much until about 7 years ago when I learned the game and started paying attention it's one thing to know the rules, another to understand the game.

Hitchens is e left wing on on most things but terror, which he feels very strongly about. Of course, a lot of right wingers want kissinger to go to jail for war crimes.....

Blzrul makes a good point, it's probably what people submit. a quick glance shows 17 dem senators serving in some sort, 24 repubs.

OT: That Leon interview was great :)
gmac17 replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leon is funny - but this is the WORLD SERIES - do NOT show me a commercial while someone is hitting. -

Or you could sell the "Donahoe" - take a sh*t on a piece of toast, tell everyone how good it tastes and charge $35 for it. -

nbc new - on the tv. it's not on msnbc.com yet. -
Went to the game last night and liked what I saw from the Sox. Just hoping pedro "classic" shows up tomorrow, not pedro "light"

This is your f'ing homework, and about the 16th time you've asked for help. You aren't asking for a new kidney. this is pointless. I'm going to Boston to watch the sox.

Sue, I undestand your thoughts on this. At the same time, I understand other people's thoughts on this. While some people post questions about buying a new computer once in a while, you regularly post up homework questions for the wall. Almost every other thread gets a bit testy, you shouldn't expect anything else from your homework posts.

once again, I miss out. I love google. I know the search industry very well. Google sends me checks every month. Did I buy when I had the chance? of course not....

1 down, 3 to go! I'm headed up to Boston in the morning, will hopefully be at the game tomorrow night.....

What are your concerns with EACH

Written by their 3rd grade teachers: George can be a bright student, but sometimes you wouldn't know it. He makes a lot of fart jokes. He is well liked by his classmates. He doesn't like the bullies and sometimes beats them up with his friends. Sometimes he goes to the bathroom without even asking permission! When it is time to pass out cookies at snack time, George always gives everyone the same # of cookies - even the kids whose parents have lots of cookies! (he says "everybody should get the same number of cookies no matter how many they have"). George does well on tests but could definitely try harder. I have trouble changing George's mind - he sometimes doesn't listen to different opinions very well. John is a very good student, perhaps too good. He often interupts me when I'm correcting tests to ask me a question such as "Mrs. Jones, did you know a cow has 7 stomachs?" or "Did you know Millard Fillmore once lived in East Aurora New York?". Sometimes I wish he would just play with the other kids. He has a 92 average in all subjects except math, where he has a 89. He cried when I told him his grade. John is a bit awkward. The other day I asked him what his favorite color was and he said "red". When most of his classmates said their favorite color was blue he raised his hand and told me his favorite color was blue as well. He's always the first to raise his hand to answer a question in class, but when I ask for the opinion of the class I notice he counts all the other hands before he answers.
