  1. the adsense ad actually said "bye bye to your money" on it?
  2. JJ would probably be a bust for us. He'll go to the pats and have an 80 catch season.
  3. i couldn't believe that - i've never seen anything like it in my life. On NBC they compared it to Don Beebe / Leon Lett, but then said "at least leon lett won by 35 points".... part of me feels bad for her cause she'll never live it down, the other part of me feels she's a complete dumbass....
  4. it is probably safe to say you were the only one there wearing a cowboy hat? My instinct would be to say no way dude, but sounds like the foreign girls loved it...
  5. Funny you say that - Rolling Rock is another beer that used to be a crappy beer but is now marketed as upscale and cool. all that matters is the marketing.
  6. about 14" in hoboken, nj
  7. Sounds like a former quarterback of ours...
  8. hey, i'm all for getting a fair wage and using bargaining power to do so. But when the NYC schools can't fire admitted child molestors because of the union something is wrong. And when I get told not to "kill the job" (ie work so hard) something is wrong.
  9. a better question - how many sick days do you actually use? I've taken two in the 10 years since I graduated from college.
  10. mcjeff - You are dead on, no need to bother with spikes. He wouldn't get out of bed for $32 an hour. As for HTown and the teachers, dude - settle down man. Every job has to deal with sh*t, not just teachers. I've worked with teachers plenty - in Houston last spring actually training teachers. I met one teacher who pointed to michigan and called it connecticut and several others who walked out of my training session the second the clock struck 3pm because contract says they are out at 3. Imagine trying that in the real world? ha.
  11. the worst part about that is that as the ref was running in, he was calling it down, then halfway toward the play he called it a td.
  12. you are thinking of the wrong thing. when the ball hits the pylon it is a td, but a foot hitting the pylon before stepping out of bounds is no different than just stepping out of bounds in the endzone.
  13. don't forget 2 missed field goals. very long kicks, but would have made that last drive a lot more exciting.
  14. yup, i get it.
  15. ok, so if he clearly has posession of the ball and gets one foot in and one foot on the pylon going out he is out of bounds?
  16. at least he and steve young both said it was a horrible call.
  17. On the non-td in the corner of the end zone by the seahawks where it wasn't challenged - it seemed obvious that he was out - but then i could have sworn that his right foot hit the pylon on the way out - would this count as in bounds?
  18. the difference being that Kraft decided that because he had by far the worst restaurant in the entire league, he was going to build a new one. When he built his new restaurant he was saddled with debt. Now the other pizza guys want to take a chunk out of his luxury table sales - sales that exist only because he put up $300 million to build luxury tables.
  19. right, and you can't blame him for trying to recoup his investment. If you owned a pizza place and had to pay rent, while your competitor across town didn't have to pay rent would you want to have to give him a portion of your profits? (yeah, that was a horrible example)
  20. easy for you to say - you didn't spend $300 million of your own money on a stadium for your team.
  21. I understand both sides. You can't fault Bob Kraft for trying to make back his investment. He spent several HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS of his own money to build a stadium, and has to give back a decent chunk of his profits to owners in Pittsburgh or Buffalo who paid next to nothing to have their stadiums built. that said, they obviously need to figure out a way to make it so that everyone can survive and compete.
  22. they learned it from richard seymor in the afc champtionship game v.s. the colts....
  23. if you'd like to see espn's top 5 reasons you can't blame scott norwood it's on at 9pm on espn classic or one of the espn's
  24. You also won't see a lot of white people at wharton....ok, maybe 50%. Bill - Those dartmouth numbers are for undergrads, not grad students.
