Yes it does.....but pulling out !@#$tard and some of the others directed at a radio host who recognizes TBD doesn't help.....I mean, damn.
-
Yeah, well, why so hostile over something so small? I could care less if he's in the media or not either. However, this guy pays attention to the board, and recognizes us and what we do on the air. He even gave us some cowbell and other things on WGR. And for you to sit there and bust out F bombs and other stuff directly at him......I mean, damn, this isn't a good battle to wage. If you think he's an idiot for bringing up Willis and some conspiracy OK. I thought it was far fetched too. But easy on the 2AM drunken, bar-room name calling. It'll be OK.

(OT) Retatta for Everyone!!!
CentralVaBills replied to buckeyemike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think if there is ever a Wall of Fame for quotes here......."This Friggin Abortion" should be the first one up there. I still laugh at where that quote took us in that thread. Congrats on 2,500. -
Brad. I'm in Virginia. I don't hear you often enough to make an opinion on whether I like you or not from a message board. But I think it's cool you visit here. I'm pretty sure you're the WGR personality that gave us "more cowbell" on the air last year when we played the Steelers. While I thought you were WAY OFF base with your Willis conspiracy theory, I would say it made for good talk radio. Look at how it made people here think and respond to it. You gotta think about some of these people bitching about WGR. They complain when you guys aren't enough Pro-Bills. They also complained about WGR being too silly in the off-season, but yet the OT posts on this board probably outnumbered the football posts 2-1 for most of the summer. You can't win. But rest assured, most of them, even though they B word, are all listening, especially on gamedays. And that's all that counts. I just wish you guys would stream so us out-of towners could listen too. Keep up posting opinions, and I'll make it a point to call in when I'm up for the home games this season. WGR seems to rub the superhomers the wrong way on this board. But, by the sounds of things on gameday, your station has plenty of callers. WAY OFF ON THE WILLIS THING THOUGH, way off.

First of all, I really like our defense. Alot. Obviously, it's our strength. Special teams are pretty.....well......special also. BUT, again, we are not playing the patsy schedule that we played last year. Our stats last year are as good as the teams we played. I know, some people have to make football out to be some sort of brain surgery and disect this and that, and study film, and do all of that. But aside from that, alot of the times, you know you are superior in talent and physicality over some teams on your schedule. It's like that in high school, college and I'm sure the pros also. Doesn't mean you can't be beaten on a given day, but you know who is bad and who isn't. Last year, especially in the run we made, the other teams offenses were just as bad as our defense was good. One of the best defenses of all time? Give me a break. A good defense....yes. A great one? Not enough info to tell yet. They looked bad in some games against good teams. They also gave up HUGE plays in some close games that cost us games. That never happened to the Baltimore's, Pittsburgh's, and 85 Bears of the world. I think gaudy numbers (#1 defense) against a much tougher schedule this year will be the key. That will make them a great defense. One of the best of all time will have to produce a #1 and a Super Bowl title, just like the other great D's.

How dare you make people actually play a season before ranking them with the best to ever play the game. What the hell is wrong with you.

Enjoy!!! There ya go!

RICHMOND VA, Bills fans.....
CentralVaBills replied to CentralVaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I said. Mulligan's on the southside has the regular, old fashioned satellite. All they usually need are the coords. We can get that for them and then watch the game. In addition to the old fashioned satellites, they have Direct TV. So, we could be golden. If we have enough people, we could be in good shape. They are one of the only bars around left with the old type satellites. If not, we can do what Mad Cap said, and meet and watch it the next day or so. -
LMAO At You Freakin' Assssclowns
CentralVaBills replied to IDBillzFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But, aren't we playing last year's patsy schedule again where we absolutely tore through the Cleveland's, SF's, and Miami's of the world..... only to get beat down by the only team we played with a clue? The team that played us with their 8th and 9th stringers at home while the Jets were losing? Sarcastic or not.....I think we are probably somewhere between this post and Simon's post, with just a slight tilt toward this one. Slight. -
RICHMOND VA, Bills fans.....
CentralVaBills replied to CentralVaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to call them and see if they will have it. I'm thinking the Mulligan's on the southside off of Hull Street. Most of the owners from Buffalo are at that one. They have Direct TV's in every booth, BUT they also have the regular, big, old fashioned satellites, so many times they get the pre-season games. This Saturday at 6 I believe. I will check on this and keep it updated. I'd really like to see the game. -
Buffalo Bills QB 1-2 Punch

To watch the game? Anyone? I can try and set it up.

Please tell me you aren't serious, are you?

No shoulda, coulda, and woulda's there.......there were only two good football teams mentioned in that group, and one, that played it's scrubs against us. Seattle and St. Louis were a joke. Our team's (and this means the whole team), including the defense, ran up their stats against a patsy schedule. And yes, I, as would most football fans, include St. Louis (especially on the road) and Seattle in that group. Pittsburgh was embarassing enough, I'd rather not even get into who was on the defensive side of the ball for them in that one.
-
OK, let's talk about this a little more honestly. And this is not indicative of Willis, but the overall running game. Willis is just where we are getting the averages from......but please.... He (team) was awful vs. NE. That's the game where we need the running game most. VERY average vs. the Jets. I consider those two good teams. Seattle and St. Louis both sucked. If they were in the AFC OR any other division in football, neither would have made the playoffs. Both of those teams had swiss cheese defenses. And do we really have to re-hash the Pittsburgh reserves game? It's not a myth. Our schedule is markedly more difficult this season. Last year's schedule was a joke in our favor. We'll see how it goes this year.
-
Or, you could say it's very indicative of when we started to play crappy teams during mostly all of that winning streak. That's also when the D really ran up their dominant stats. We weren't exactly playing powerhouses. Now, if we do it this year, against a much tougher schedule, then we have something to talk about.

56 It's pretty easy to tell the 32, 34, 36, 38 stuff......but it's nearly impossible to tell cup size if you aren't afforded the luxury of seeing some more of the boobies.

Big explosions in Detroit

It's a chemical plant explosion in the Wayne area of Detroit. Says to be very toxic stuff in the air. -
Did Mel Kiper see the same scrimmage I did?
CentralVaBills replied to Charlie68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that is what Kiper said, I think, at this EARLY point, he's dead on. Losman looked like he didn't want to make a mistake instead of just going out and playing football. He should be trying to cut loose, in scrimmage games IMO. You get coached during the week, and if you do it enough, you should be cutting loose and just playing during games. He's not near that point yet. Doesn't mean he's not gonna be good by any means, but yes he looked "iffy" for sure. Most people should expect that however. Man, almost all the other parts of this Bills team look pretty damn good, and we have some pretty good depth. I hope it doesn't totally hinge on JP or we could be blowing a chance to win now........because this seems like a strong group of football players, and a pretty stacked an deep roster elesewhere. -

Does anyone have a scrimmage report???
CentralVaBills replied to CentralVaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cool thanks......I thought I read it was today somewhere, and I was wondering why the hell the scrimmage would come BEFORE the practice. Nice! -
Anyone, anyone.......I didn't see it....... Doesn't anyone have something to say about it? Or was it even today?
-
I'd be willing to watch the away games somewhere with fans in Richmond. I'll be going to alot in Buffalo, but the away games we always meet at Mully's on Hull Street. We started to get a nice little group toward the end of last year. Hit 23 for the Cincy game!

Flyers cut (buyout) LeClair, Amonte
CentralVaBills replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a Sabres fan, but rather a Pittsburgh fan. You DO NOT want LeClair. He has zero left in the tank. Anyone paying LeClair at any price will be wasting cap space. He doesn't even remotely resemble anything of his former great playing self.
