  1. Holy crap. I am very curious to see what players were involved. Hopefully they all play for the Senators, Rangers, Flyers, or Devils.
  2. The backbone is provided by Sprint. The Sprint coverage sucks in Rochester, not sure how it is in the rest of WNY. Prices seem a little high... http://mobile.espn.go.com/espnmobile/confi...eplandetails.do
  3. Every year I say that I am going to but I always end up watching something else? Thoughts.
  4. That wasn't the argument, Palmer is much better. But to say that Ben Rothlisburger isn't as good as advertised is like saying that Tom Brady isn't as good as advertised. They win football games and that is what matters.
  5. Does anyone else think that after the officials almost cost the Steelers the game against Indy that they were trying "too hard" to make sure that the Steelers did not come out on the short end of the stick? By not fining Joey Porter for his comments after the Indy game the NFl essentially admitted that they were wrong. Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, all of the calls seemed to lean towards Pittsburgh as to say "see, we weren't trying to screw you last week." The TD, the Pass Interference, and the Holding call are all pretty obvious. One call that hasn't been mentioned was when Joey Porter "Horse Collared" Shawn Alexander on 3rd and long. If you recall, that form of tackling is illegal after Roy Williams hurt two players.
  6. You didn't miss much, except for a couple of really good Bud Light commercials.
  7. I don't think it is fair to compare JP to Ben just yet. Sure, Ben played like crap last night but he made plays when it counted. (The scramble-hail mary to Ward, the TD run, and lets not forget the bootleg in the 4th qtr to seal the game for Pitt.) Had the Seahwaks not shot themselves in the foot and the refs not been horrible there might be an argument but the fact of the matter is that he is a Super Bowl champ. JP showed flashes at times last year and his protection may nopt have been as good as Ben's but Holcomb appeard in 10 games and was sacked 17 times while Losman appeared in 9 games and was sacked 25 times. They both played behind the same offensive line. JP still has a long way to go before anyone can compare him to Big Ben.
  8. I am guessing that this one slipped past the editor.
  9. COuld Coy Wire be the crappiest Bills player to every have his own replica jersey for sale in the Pro Shop? Or does that honor belong to Mike Williams?
  10. Thanks, that was really good. I have a feeling that resigning Nate is a little more important because of the importance of how well the corners play. I am not sure how Milloy and Vincent will fit into this scheme. Milloy is more of a run stopper now and Vincent is getting up there in years.
  11. They have one thing going for them. The best front office guy in Football, the guy that Ralph F**king fired. I think that Polian is smart and he will find a way to bring back Freeney and Wayne while letting the Edge go, as he should. Manning will also be inclined to restructure, especially if he hasn't one a championship, which will probably be the case.
  12. Maybe last year, but they gave Westbrook the deal he was looking for so probably not.
  13. I hear a lot of the residents of Detroit have a key to the city. They are called crow bars.
  14. Very good point that you have. I guess that I wasn't looking at it from that angle.
  15. The Colts did not seem to struggle much when he was hurt and Rhodes was filling in for him. Running back is one of the most overrated positions in the league. You can plug anyone in behind a solid offensive line and system and they can rush for over 1,000 yards. See: Denver, Pitsburgh, Kansas City. I would not resign him. They could easliy replace him with what they have and in the draft.
  16. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...ft.1/index.html I would love this pick, especially if we are able to shore up the Oline with a FA and a solid 2nd or 3rd rounder.
  17. Very good point JSP. As bad of a guy that T.O. is there were still a lot of the Eagles players that supported and sided with him. Donavan is not the choir boy that the media has made him out to be.
  18. Who the heck would spend $17,000 a year for season tickets. That is absolutely insane! Of course, Snyder has every right to raise season ticket prices because the fans are dumb enough to pay it.
  19. Thanks OTR, now I feel special.
  20. This thread was tailored for you.
  21. I am with you Andy. I think that Kiper is insightful and is good at what he does but his delivery is terrible. I feel like he is talking down at me through my television set. As far as Theisman goes, I am not sure that there is a single person on this board that doesn't think he is a steaming pile of dung.
  22. I have the Diet Black cherry Vanilla Coke and I love it. I like it better than the Dr. Pepper version for sure.
  23. Sorry, didn't see the one started at 7:25 this morning.
  24. Before some of the "Almighty TSW Police" start b*tching, I know that we have already talked about this a few times regarding Cotrell. However, after watching the NFL live team breakdown the Steelers defense and the pieces needed to be a successful 3-4 I thought a lot more about it. Needs: 1 Lane clogging Nose Tackle. Check - Big Sam 1 Run stuffing Safety. Check - Though he may have slipped agianst the pass, Lawyer is still solid against the run. 4 Fast Roaming LBs (especially on the outside). - Takeo (if he returns to form. London makes plays. Crowell has really proven himself. Posey, see below. Pressure from the edge. Check - Schobel is obviously a solid pass rusher. Posey was great as an end in Houston's 4-3. Looks like the team is one inside LB away from having a solid 3-4 defense.
  25. I would like to see the Steelers win just so I don't have to see the TV camera's tuned into the Bill Cowher Scowl for 3 freaking hours!
