  1. exavtly- that line made emmit into the HOF back he wasn't touched till he was into the secondary half the time- any back they would have drafted would be in the HOF
  2. i didn't see 19-0 so i settled on 11-5 and a division title followed by a super bowl victory
  3. sorry, it must be broken as it did not pick up on that at all i'm taking it back to radio shack at lunch to get it checked out
  4. you guys still don't get it it's the o line stupid example: emmit smith got to all those pro bowls because his o line opened up holes the width of driveways he wasn't touched til 5-6 yards past the line of scrimmage they did not win super bowls because of emmit but people talk about him like he walked on water the super bowls and emmit and the coke head receiver and gay cowboy troy were all products of that great o line any back could have hit the jackpot behind that line and emmit would have sucked on 28 other teams in the league at that time because he was nothing special fix the DT and/or MLB positon needs as first priority and get some young legs at RB at a cheaper price in round 2 or 3
  5. 4. is neither are there than a trade down to grab best available players of need based on trade down position thanks- that was part of my thought process that did not make it into the post
  6. 1. There are few great Running Backs- most of a running game's success is directly related to the o-line. it is a also a position where the career is short. it does not make sense to draft high: this means the Bills will wait till Round 2 or 3 to draft a RB 2. Corner Back is not as important as Safety in the Cover 2. the corner is needed for run support and the short zone as does not need to be a 'lockdown' corner: no 1st round CB for the Bills 3. You need to be strong up the middle to play the cover 2. based on last year's dismal run defense the Bills need is at NT and MLB. is John McCargo ready- who knows. can Spikes come back-?: Marv's opinion on this dictates if we draft Okaye or Willis. Branch's poor work habits makes me think we will pass.
  7. the aud- scorpions-2nd row centre left-~ 25 years ago hsbc- the hip ~ 10 years ago darien lake- srv~ 20 years ago
  8. BEST 1 throwback Bills 65-66 2 Raiders 3 Colts 4 Bears 5 Chargers 6 Packers Worst 1 Titans 2 Bills 3 Patriots 4 Broncos 5 Dolphins 6 Jets
  9. JP and Crowell are the only 2 i am worried about but Evans needs to be locked up early also the rest of them will be either be too old or haven't shown anything yet to warrent concern
  10. NAMBLA= north american man boy love association to each his own but i hope willis hasn't signed up for that memberhsip
  11. i gave him a B Tuesday -Saturday i give him a B+ to an A: the game plans look good, personnell is used correctly etc Game day i give him a C to C+: not that he was bumbling bad- just average on critical decisions like going for 1st downs, replay challenges, communication on decisions so plays get to the QB quickly etc. improvement in this area could be worth another 2 victories a year
  12. i saw every game he did nothing up to the point he got injured to rate the praise and hope he is getting on this board for 2007 your stats comment was
  13. one more time my comment was: he is unknown so why are so many people saying he is going to be great i am not passing judgement on him except to say that he can not be counted on until he does it
  14. where did i ever say that this guy would not pan out? i said he is a big? and as a big ? we should not count on him for anything next year which means we still have big needs at DT read anything else you want into my comments as you ball wash an injured rookie w/ 6 tackles in 5 games
  15. so marv drafted him to be a back up to larry- i don't think so he was suppossed to start next to larry and he couldn't crack the lineup i'm not throwing him to the wolves but am commenting on the numerous posts that are putting this guy 'one step away from the pro bowl' (sarcasm on) when he did nothing this year "Yes, before he was injured he earned the starting position next to Tripplett. He had really started to come on before the injury. I think what would work best for next year is to get a big bodied DT, and have him play on running downs, sharing with McCargo on passing downs, and Williams working in with Tripplett. " he played in 5 games; none started; and was 5/1:6 in tackles- in no game did he have over 2 tackles- where was he coming on? what is so kneejerk about questioning the elevation of an injured rookie with 5 solo tackles to quality starter next year?
  16. why are so many people counting on this guy for next year? he couldn't beat out anderson or williams, did nothing when he did play and then got hurt to count on this guy being a quality starter for next year is silly right now we have zero quality starters at DT-ZERO lil larry t is ave/below ave williams is ave who may improve after a year in the weight room mccargo is a big ? anderson will be cut we need DT help as priority one
  17. needs prioritized for F.A. and/or draft: 1. DT 2. Guard 3. MLB 4. CB/nickel back 5. another DT 6. another interior o lineman 7. FB 8. another nickel back 9. big WR 10. Willis' replacement if not A.T.
  18. maybe nate wants to win and be a pro bowler but my gut tells me his thought process is 'i just wants to gets payed'
  19. key point being contract year what is nate's motivation after he lands that big contract? he has none and he reverts back to nate of 2005 getting burned by mediocre receivers bye bye nate and bye bye london - making tackles 8 yards past the line of scrimmage - fletcher- baker we won't miss ya
  20. he even dissed young a little by saying why is he getting all this praise while a steady j.p. has gotten none the band wagon is getting a few more national riders- salisbury has been saying good things about j.p. for a few weeks now.
