NC...
1) what team or offensive line coud Drew function for right now?
2) are you suggesting that a Steve McNair, Donavan McNabb, Matt Hasselback, Tom Brady, or Brett Favre would fare no better than Drew as the Bills QB?
-
Basically, opposing defenses are "cheating" up at the line of scrimmage to enable themselves to have a distinct advantage in defensing the run. If Bledsoe notices the extra numbers of defenders in the "box"and "checks" out of the run, the opposing defense is only too happy to oblige that... for two reasons...
1) they don't have to defend the run, even though they're in position to stuff it (so they are covered)
2) the odds that Bledsoe can run backwards (drop back) 7 or 8 yards faster than a young linebacker or DB can run forward, say, 12 yards is overwhelmingly in the opposing defense's favor. Also, since Bledsoe has almost no ability to slide left ot right, he's rarely outside the tackle perimeter to allow him to throw the ball away. So the defense has such a distinct advantage when Bledseo is at QB that it is as if they were playing with 13 defensers on the field each and every play.
Sure, every now and then they may get dinged for a meaningless gain, but in playing this type of defense against Bledsoe and company, they've prevented the Bills from any offensive continuity and ability to sustain their offense.
What pisses me off as a Bills fan is that all of us Bills fans must suffer through this disastrous Bledsoe experiment while the current front office regime and coaching staff continue to try to figure out a way to enable Drew to function rather than focus on what it takes to win games. Yes, my Bills brethren, what we have here is the tail wagging the dog... and if this coaching staff and front office can't recognize this then they have no business have a job in footbal on any level.
The bottom line is this... the sooner Bledsoe is benched, the sooner the bills will get back to winning. Bledsoe may be a very nice lad, but he stinks as a QB and he won't and can't get better than he is.

best bang for your buck is an lcd projector.... you can go from 22" to 10 feet if you want. Just go for one that has a a contrast ratio and lumes both > than 1700 or it won't look crisp in a well lit room. Outstanding LCD projectors can be had for $1800 and they look fabulous even on an off white wall. If you purchase a screen specifically for the wall, the picture is even better.

...I thought the only "correctional facility" in WNY was Attica.
Am I mistaken?
Yes you are mistaken Greg... there is Albion for the women... but that might be the correct correctional facility.

the difference in a good coach and a bad coach is not what he says, but what he does.
Mularkey needs to stop making excuses and giving us reasons why the offense sucks and deliver results. I'm sick of hearing that the O-line is the problem. BS!! defenses are stacking the line of scrimmage to stop the run and daring Bledsoe to beat the blitz. He can't and until there is a change at QB, the results are going to be the same.
-
that they were not moving any teams and if they are to expand, it would be expantion!
That, my friend, is akin to the "kiss". Sort of like the owner giving his coach a vote of confidence and then firing his ass two weeks later.
-
Mularkey barred the press from the players yesterday. In doing so, at least to the local press, it might appear to be retribution for all of the negative (albeit accurate and true) press the team has been receiving. This can't make the press happy and will only serve to piss off these local press guys. So, unless the Bills make a dramatic turnaround, Mularkey can expect the press to turn up the heat even more on this team.
I don't think Mularkey has a clue as to what he's gotten himself into as HC under Donahoe and I think he's clueless as to what he's gotten himself into with the Bills press as well. Mularkey needs to pick his battles wisely, and shutting out the press this early in his first HC job and after two horrible offensive performances, is not a good call on his part. What he needs to do is to stop talking about all of the mistakes and start benching the players that are responsible for the miscues. Until he does that, he's not going to get the attention and respect of the players that a winning HC must have. And he certainly isn't going to make friends with the press or fans if this continues.

ok, let's give the Bills 2 points. They still lose. Does it make you feel any better that the loss was by 2 points? Does it still change the fact that Bledsoe alone is killing this team?
-
I wuz just thinkin about this.
Actually, November 14th would be 12 weeks from JP's injury. They originally said 8-12 weeks. Now, I'm pretty sure they won't feed JP to the Patriots on November 14.
However, if Mularkey continues to show that he's got no balls and keeps on playing Bledsoe, after the Nov. 14 game the Bills are going to be 2-7 or 3-6. And by this time, the stadium seats are going to be empty because the Bills fate has been determined (after Nov. 14 they have only one divisional game left to play, Miami). And because their fate is sealed (will have won only 1 game in the division by then) the only thing they can do to put fans in the stadium seats is to make a major change to get the restless natives excited again. Enter, JP Losman
So mark down November 21 on your calendar... the potential debut of JP Losman at home against the Rams... and consider this: With JP under center, the Bills could conceivably run the table and end up winning 9 or 10 games and still not make the playoffs because of their losses within the division.
The Donahoe sharade has been exposed... and JP is the only one that can save Teflon Tom from the wrath of Ralph's machete. Will JP salvage our dignity as Bills fans? Stay tuned.

Ice... you've been drinkin way too much Bledsoe koolaid... and that 30 second greeting with Donahoe has you star struck.
zero and two smells bad, zero and four stinks. The wheels have fallen off this team.
The defense still can't apply consistent pressure on the QB and has been beaten deep 3 times in two games. Offensively, the Bills scare no team. They are just pinning their ears back and saying... Bledsoe, beat us!! and he aint. Donahoe brought in Albatross Bledsoe and both need to be escorted out of town as soon as possible.
-
Im not worried about Mike Williams one bit....If we did move him to guard I
beleive he would be great.
problem is, how do you justify paying a guard $4M/yr? He would have to play as good as Larry Allen has at the very least.

Can we still cut this turkey and have a favorable salary cap outcome?
we can cut him, but there won't be a favorable salary cap outcome. I say, just go with matthews right now, and then to reduce the salary cap hit, cut Drew after 6/1/05 to soften the blow.
Man, you talk about albatrosses... first RJ and now Drew... what have we done to deserve this suffering?
-
After the game, all i heard was MM say that the problems are correctable.
So, my question is, "when can we expect that these correctable problems be corrected"? Next game, next season, next GM change, next coaching change?
-
This team is on the right track.
You think Oh and four is "on the right track"? What would you call the "wrong track"?
-
Seeing how all you Bledsoe supporters think he's going to magically light it up if the o line comes around and ignore the fact that only an o line of Orlando Pace, Larry Allen, Kevin Mauei, Will Shields, and Jon Runyan could marginally protect him...
Since I don't get why you still think he's a good QB, my question to you is this...
Since this team is headed for 0-4, under what circumstances will you bench Bledsoe in favor of Matthews and/or JP Losman?
-
Do the trade. You'll get Davis back in a few weeks and can use hjim when you need him. Foster can't stay healthy. kennison is a piece of stevestojan and Smith has always been productive.
-
Ice... take back your sanity. Stop drinking that stevestojantty Tom Donahoe Koolaid.
-
so what's the problem?
Wasn't Mularkey hired to recycle Bledsoe? or is that an outright untruth?
Didn't Bledsoe complete only 17 passes for 153 Yards or was that untrue as well?
forget about the "would be" catches... they are a figment of one's immagination... they are officially "never was's". otherwise the bills are in 5 straigth SBs if only Ronnie Harmon hadn't dropped that pass and they win at least one SB if only "NorWIDE" was "NorRIGHTON". But that's "pretend... cuz it id not happen
So Hammer Clayton because he stated fact?
If you're gonna Hammer him, hammer him because he looks like a pencil necked geek.

actually, TD and GW was the inspiration behind that comic.

mark schlereth with 200 knee surgeries.

I know what you mean... and how dare he ask London Fletcher why he kicked the ball from the LOS taking a dely of game penalty after be warned for doing the same thing earlier. Who the hell does this Jerry Sullivan guy think he is?
Next he's gonna want to know why Tom Clements called for the deep ball on 3rd and inches instead of just doing a simple QB sneak to keep the chains moving.
-
Yeah, AKC... but if Viniateri had been the Bills kicker instead of Lindell, that 41 yarder one have been in the books. Thus the karma and universe would have been completely irrepairably altered and everything after that totally changed.
This is my problem with Ole' Whitey

Labatt: How dare you question Teflon Tom? According to more than one source at ESPN, Teflon Tom is the supreme purveyor of football talent. Teflon Tom once coached a high school team and then stocked the Steelers so well they went to a SB once in the 90's, despite having Cowher as a coach. His acquistion of Bledsoe was pure genious... he really stuck it to Bob Kraft and Bill Belichick.
