can he lead us to about a 3-13 record?... which is about as good as Bledsoe will do.
-
Moorman is clearly the team MVP.
-
AH, a moment of clarity. My epiphany came a year ago in September.
-
The better question to ask (now that he's Skins DC) " If you were scheduled to play the Bills, how many sleepless nights would you have knowing that you're going to be facing Bledsoe? I mean... how does one defend a Bledsoe"?
-
Jeff George's career QB rating is about 4 points hire than Drew's? (80.4 vs. 76.6)
Most football fans will call Jeff George one of the biggest head cases, waste of talent, and overrated QB of all time... yet, because he's a nice guy, Drew gets a free pass?
-
hey... someone had to take Jeff George's place as the most overrated QB.
-
A GM with emotion!!! Butler, and certainly Polian, showed way more emotion than Ole Whitey. Just once wouldn't you like to see the GM go on a tirade? This team doesn't show much emotion either... maybe they've taken on the GMs personality.
-
Fezmid, my dear friend. you still don't get it. Take Bledsoe out and defenses can't "pin their ears back".
-
Donahoe... period. You don't hire a rookie head coach after having just experimented for 3 years with that. And no, all of the decades of experience that his assistants have doesn't overcome Mularkey's inexperience... and more important, his ability to be a head coach.

There's a reason Mathews is the 4th string QB (behind Bledsoe, Brown, Losman) and was out of the league until two injuries in one week hit the QBs.
Dude... Matthews was never 4th string. He wasn't brought in until Travis Brown got injured. The Bills went into the last preseason game with Bledsoe, Matthews and Zolman.
When the dust settled, the Bills kept 3 QBs on their roster...
1) Bledsoe
2) Matthews
3) Losman
Now Matthews is only 3 carreer percentage points worse than Bledsoe and, as I mentioned in an earlier post, he didn't have the advantage of playing with a LT or cneter with the pedigree of Armstrong and Wolobaugh, nor a TE like Ben Coactes, RB like Curtis Martin, or a wr like Terry Glen to pad his stats. And, he didn't have a coach like Bill Parcells to prop him up.
Yeah, Matthews is sad.. but not any worse than Bledsoe. And I'll bet you he'd be better than Bledsoe under center for the Bills right now. Bledsoe is finished... stick a fork in him... he's got 3 games max as the Bills starter.
-
Answer that question and you will have solved the Bledsoe riddle.
What riddle????
1) Bledsoe sets up slow
2) He's only gonna be in one spot when he sets up (front 7 can tee off)
3) Makes pis poor decisions and does not think/process info quickly
4) throws beautiful passes down field.
5) has little to no touch on passes under 15 yards
6) pathetic in the red zone
7) no intangibles
8) not a leader by any stretch of the immagination
9) no passion for winning
-
hey, hey, hey.... we'll have none of this.. these post belong in the Bledsoe Apologies thread.
-
Yo Fez... FYI, Matthews carrer QB rating aint that much different from Bledsoe's... and Matthews didn't pad his stats behind a line that featured Bruce Armstrong and Dave Wolobaugh and a running back like Curtis Martin, Tight end like Ben Coates, and a wr like Terry Glenn.
At worst things would be the same under Matthews.
Anyway, the curtain comes down on the Bledsoe era after he blows the New England game on 11/14. At that point, with a 1-8 record and 3 home games left, Bledsoe will be playing before any empty house at the Ralph... enter J.P Losman to put bodies back in the seats... mark it down... 11/21... the Rams.
-
Time for the weekly Bledsoe if and or but medley.
Post the excuses here.
-
First congrats to your Bosox
Secondly... get your fans ready for Nov. 14... that is Bledsoe's "fare thee well" game. That game will be his last as a starter for the Bills... he becomes a reliever from 11/21 on... and I suspect he will either be traded to some team that has a stupid GM or cut... either in March or June... either that or take a 75% paycut.
Anyway... what do you Pats fans have planned for him? I think it would be a shame for Belechick to once again get inside Drew's head... that would be so humiliating.
-
this just in Mark IV... I've been saying this for the past month. 11/21... mark it down on your calendar.
-
Come on Tolstoy.... share some of whatever you're smoking.
Talent? Mularkey, not dumb? he took the bills job didn't he?
-
peckersnot
OK DIBSCHITT !!
-
BTW, if he does come back aqnd play for the Felons I'm definitley going to that game.......I'm thinking of a sign already.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, i'll bet that'll scare ricky. might even change about coming back.
btw... we're all whores... we just have diffferent standards (how much $$$ will it take).

but will not practice until his studies are steady, this kid needs someone to stick close to him. with him this team is gonna be awesome, word is craig forth did some awesome off-season training. GO CUSE!
I hate to disappoint you, but Edelin is going to have to be a role player this year. The kid is good to have if you have 3 bonafide deep shooters in the lineup... Syracuse doesn't have that with Edelin in there. If Edelin plays, that means someone is going to sit... either McCrosky, Nichols, Gmac, Josh Wright the freshman PG or Dayshawn Wright the swingman coming in from Oak Hill.
Edelin's been a pain in the ass since he's signed... right out of the gate he gets tossed from school for assaluting a female student. Then he gets into trouble academically, and now, after just up and pulling a "Ricky Williams" on the team last spring (or should I say Ricky Williams pulled a Billy Edelin) and leaving on the cusp of the Big East tournament and the NCAAs, he wants to come back? What kind of stevestojan is that?
This kid is a head case and the Cuse is better off without him. Apparently, Edelin must have attended the DeSean Williams School of Behavior.
As far as Forth... he is what he is... and that is a big slow white boy that basically clogs up the middle, sets good picks & screens, passes well,... occaisionally gets a rebound, blocks a shot, and makes a shot... you know, your typical career 6 pt. 6 reb. /game role player... I don't care how much he works out or practices... he ain't gonna be much better than he is... basketball is not his number one priority and once he leaves SU, even though he could play spaghetti ball overseas, my guess is that he'll move onto to being a special ed teacher or child psycologist. He's got a good head on his shoulders and loves children... but don't expect more than the usual from him this season... SU has too many better players that need to have the ball.

Whats the Bills Record? 4-1? 5-0?? I think the Jets game and the Jags game would have been wins with both players in the lineup, so at least 3-2
WTF?.... What about injured players for the jags and jets?... I mean the Jets D could sure use sam cowart and the 2 starters in their secondary. Why cry about injured players... every team gets them and you've got to play with the cards that have been dealt to you. Why even bother with this type of stevestojan? Does this make you feel better somehow? The Bills record is 1-4, that's what they are.... period.... no ifs, no buts, no ands.... Ask the Pats how they deal with injured players? They just win Superbowls... with or without them.
-
what do bone daddy have to do to for the sox to win a world series?
-
marcus jones.... just another name in the line of worthless retreads that Donahoe brings in.... McKenzie, Farris, Gibson, Eddie Brown, Beasly, Gildon... you get the picture.
-
no brainer... Chester Taylor.
Bills defense gave up big yds. to Sammy Morris and the pitiful Dolphin offense... I've got a feeling that Schobel is in for one helluva long day against Jonathan Ogden.
OK....I gotta throw this out there

I'll say this about Matthews.... he sure has an affinity for seeking out and playing for teams that suck...Bears, Panthers, Redskins, and now the Bills. Every team he's played for has sucked at the time he was on their roster.
I guess the moral of the story is that the bills suck and they needed an extra QB on their roster that was a compliment to their losing ways... apparently Bledsoe wasn't enough.
