  1. Dude... if the niners were to hire Carroll.... Why the Fock would he, in his most insane moment, ever even consider a loser like Bledsoe? Do you think his football IQ is as low as yours???? If Carrol gets that job, he's bringing Matt Lienart (his QB at USC) with him, cuz the niers got the first pick... and it's gonna be Lienart.... so he has his QB... plus he has Tim Rattay... who carries the same QB rating as Bledsoe.
  2. and even funnier... coming from a guy whose screen name is Darin (as in Cagan from "CNN News"... Rush Limbaugh's new squeeze). Bang Zoom>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  3. true and Bledsoe's name is Drew (as in Barrymore)
  4. Oh my God... if the USA TOday printed it.... it must be true. Therefore Bledsoe has reached the mountain top. PS. $6m/year for a career loser.... oh, yeah, now I see what hey mean by under appreciated.
  5. dude... you shouldn't have gone there.... you're just digging your hole deeper and deeper. Flutie's played 11 NFL seasons and has had a QB rating of 80.0 or above in 6 of those 11 seasons. Bledsoe's played 12 NFL seasons and has only heat the 80.0 or above rating 4 times. Flutie hit the 80.0 or higher QB rating in 2 of his 3 seasons with the Bills Bledsoe hit the 80.0 or higher QB rating in 1 of his 3 seasons with the Bills. I know, I know.... your reply is going to have some sort of but, but, but comment. Anything to absolve Bledsoe from any sin.
  6. Funny... but I remember a Bills QB that played for a rookie head coach and this QB had played in the league for 4 years...and Like Bledsoe, cost the Bills a 1st rounder and a ton of $$$...although this QB at one time shined for Gilbride with his previous team and had very good mobility, he too had "Bledositis" or an affinity for doing stupid things... like taking stupid sacks. Like Bledsoe, the offense sucked... receivers didn't get open, they couldn't generate a running game, the offensive line couldn't protect... yada, yada, yada. But a funnier thing happens... this QB was as brittle as lead crystal and goes down with an injury. Uh, oh... in comes this short, rag armed, minimum wage making, 16 year veteran of the NFL and CFL, and wouldn't you know it... the Bills are .500 at mid season behind this guy. Suddenly the offensive line is protecting so well, we forget what a sack is.... Moulds is having one of his most productive seasons, and the running game is working. What next.... the Bills are in the playoffs at 10-6. Nah, Bledsoe could not possibly be the problem. It's always someone else on the team that is responsible for Drew being sacked, or Drew fumbling, or Drew throwing an interception, or Drew intentionally throwing the ball out of bounds on 4th down with seconds to go to kill any chances of a Bills comeback. Poor Drew, have you ever noticed how the the water boy hands the cup to Drew so he has to grab it with his left hand? Everyone knows Drew is right handed and likes his cup served in his right hand... that ruins Drew's day... damn that waterboy. And the trainers never tape his ankles correctly. Ribbeck never gets Drew's jersey quite as clean as it should be for Drew. Nah, we should get rid of the whole damn team...except for Drew, and start over and install all pros at every position, the best coaches, trainers, etc.... then we'll all see the real Bledsoe.
  7. Dude... if you want to stop the crusade, why do you continue to fan the flames? I can cite stupid Bledsoe play after another that even a high school QB would get jacked for doing.... let alone we're talking about a 12 year NFL vet... and probably the biggest bonehead play I've ever seen an NFL QB do was in the waning seconds of last year's late Sept. contest between the Bills and Eagles.... Bills trailing with less than 30 seconds to go and driving near mid field.... 4th down & 2 and no timeouts... you need a first down at the very least... a touchdown would be nice. Bledsoe drops back... gets flushed from the pocket... moves to his right and getting close to the sideline. Here he has a multiple choice question that, like any normal QB, they must answer in real time... here are his choices... a) try and dive for the stick and hope like hell you can stretch it out on the chalk for the first down and out of bounds b) throw to an open reciever in the endzone c) throw it to an open receiver near the sidelines d) throw it to an open receiver in the middle of the field. e) throw it to any receiver... covered or uncovered. Which one do you think Bledsoe chooses???? ynnnnnt!!! times up!!!... if you guesed any of the above... you're wrong, but thanks for playing the game. Bledsoe... near the sideline...staring at the 4th down marker, throws the ball forward and out of bounds intentionally... then grabs his helmet with both hands and thinks to himself WTF did I just do???? That there play speaks for itself... and if you would like, I will dig up about 7 or 8 dozen more stupid Bledsoe plays. All of this "crusade" bull sh-- is exactly that. On one side, you have 1 million fans that are logical and smart and realize Bledsoe's a loser. Then, on the other side you have a few hundred stupid people that continue to apologize for Bledose no matter how horrendous he plays he's neither responsible or accountable... it's always 10 other players faults... and then these few hundred people call the other million "crusaders" and "Drew Haters".... well....aren't those few hundred stupid people trying to prop Bledsoe up and campaigning for him to keep his job, "crusading" as well?????
  8. Well, if there is a God and any justice, if a player as productive as Henry can lose his job to McGahee... Bledsoe should certainly lose his.
  9. I'll say that Fletcher is a damn good player.... period. He aint over paid. He plays every game... covers WRs, RBs, TEs, blitzes... he's an every down player and a special teams warrior to boot.... He is a good value...period. Yes... he has an occaision brain fart and gets penalized for stupid stuff... but when you look at the big picture... leading the team in tackles year in and year out and all the other stuff... he is a player you want. As far as the other positional analysis... I'll agree with you on Bledsoe. However, on grading the rest of the offense, you kinda short change everyone... simply because they had to live with Bledsoe. The car can only go as fast as the driver allows it to... It will be great to see JP in there as the starter... All of the offensive players are suddenly going to be playing way better than they have. There may be issues early on, because he is still sort of a rookie... However... if you compare him to Carson Palmer's situation.... They both have similar weapons. Palmer was healthy all last year, but never took a snap and got the starting nod. He was not real productive the first 4 or 5 games... then he strted putting up numbers before he got hurt. At least JP played in a few games and got some snaps... plus working with Sam Wyche and Tom C also gives him an advantage that I don't think Palmer had.
  10. NYET!!! can't even get to a SB with him.
  11. that the Bills traded them for Losman?
  12. If leinart opts for the draft, he's a 49er.
  13. Nice try... only quote part of my sentence and then totally come up with some bull sh-- thing that I didn't say. The quote you didn't finish in regards to starting Bledsoe read... All you quoted was "it's no brainer," which clearly indicates to me that you're not just an ordinary Drew apologist... you're flat out obsessed with him and absolutely cannot handle or deal with any constructive and objective criticism of him in any way shape or form. You purposely excluded the other part of the sentence in your retort to dodge the fact that more of Bledsoe is going to yield more of the same results. You simply can't deal with that. Lastly... what the hell does Moulds have to with this when we're talking about Bledsoe. I don't paint all players with the same brush. You might... and that's your way. I opine on a player based on a number of things... what I witness, what knowledgeable players and coaches around the league have offered up on the record, what analysts have said, the facts... his numbers... his inability to make those around him play better than they are... and most of all how much he hurts his team with his stupid, bonehead sub rookie mistakes. I can live with a QB that completes 45% of his passesor doesn't throw a lot of touchdowns, but i can't live with a QB that collapses like a cheap tent when he catches a glimpse of color... but you don't see any of this, so I might as well be talking to a brick wall... you don't get and never will. maybe your his mother, wife or daughter... I don't know. Trust me though... if you take one thing to your grave, take this... Bledsoe will never start for a team that goes to a SB... let alone win a SB.
  14. The problem is, Bledsoe's performance is neither commensurate to the expectations or his salary. Bledsoe's talent is soley in his arm. He does not have particularly good ball handing skills, escapability, pocket presence, inmprov ability, or a real good ability to either read a defense correctly, respond to it correctly, or to bait a defense. Add to this the fact that he sets up too slow, processes info slowly... which ultimately leads to him to holding onto the ball longer than the protection is designed for just exacerbates his other limitations. He also doesn't have the mindset to do whatever is necessary to keep the chains moving. You can live with a QB like this as long as he doesnot do stupid things that hurt the team. Even if you QB sneak 3 times in a row or hand the ball off 3 times in a row and get 0-4 yards, that's OK.... But you cannot drop back to pass, hold onto the ball too long, risking a holding penalty on your O-line, or risking a sack, or throwing the ball late and risking the int. That is totally unacceptable for a 12 year vet of Bledsoe's supposed vintage. I know his strngths and weaknesses, you know his strengths and weaknesses, his coaches know his limitations and 32 defensive coordinators have gameplans ready to install to defend any team that Bledsoe QBs... so, it's not rocket science. Beat Bledsoe and you beat his team. It matters not that Bledsoe has some of the finest mentors around in Mularkey, Wyche, and Clements. Bledsoe has basically had 4 out of 12 seasons as a QB that I would consider pretty good. By that I mean 4 seasons of at least an 80.0 QB rating. I consider above 90.0 to be very good to excetional and 75-79.9 to be average and <75 to be below average. Bledsoe is closer to below average than he is to being pretty good. And his career rating... even with his 4 good years factored in, is still closer to below average than pretty good. His good years, as you mention, were with Parcells with the exception of his inaugural year with the Bills. Parcells was on his ass constantly... I never remember wtaching a Pats game that Parcells didn't give Bledsoe "the look" or chew his ass out for some stupid mistake. That ought to raise a "red flag" alone. Then you consider the talent Parcells surrounded him with, ie, Bruce Armstrong @ LT, Wolobaugh @C, Coates, @TE, Curtis Martin & Sam Gash in the backfield, and Terry Glenn at WR (all pro bowlers at that time) and Bledsoe had a supporting cast at that time that would have or should have made any average QB very good to exceptional.... and Bledsoe never really even flirted with a 90.0 or greater rating for a season. The bottom line is... Bledsoe is a non-productive, overrated waste of $$$ and salary cap space. If the Bills continue to start Bledsoe, they will continue to get what they've already gotten... an early tee time. The Bills could go ahead and continue to start him, go 0-4 next season, pull the plug on him and insert JPL and have him finish out the season 4-8, 8-4... or who knows??? Or we could start JPL from the get go and see what it brings... right now we've wasted money on both QBs and we already know Bledsoe can't play. So, now, you really have to start JPL to get some return on the $$$ investment and the lost draft picks. Lastly... had the Bills started McGahee from the get go, would the Bills have won just one of those first 4 games. Mularkey can ask himself that question and what he might have learned from possibly making that decision 4 weeks too late. He'll answer that question on opening day next year when he decides who starts at QB. It's a no brainer in my mind.... continue to do what you've done and you'll continue to get what you got.
  15. Do you think NFL people extremely stupid or what???? Let me ask you a question... If Bledsoe and Henry couldn't "jump start" the Bills offense.... why the fu@k would you or anyone else expect that to happen with the Bears?????
  16. Dude... what team is that stupid??? There are 32 defensive coordinators in the league. Ask them which QB they would most like to face and I bet 2/3 or better will tell you Bledsoe. They all have the book on him and they all know how to defend him. So, no team is gonna give a pack of gum for the goddamn loser, let alone pick up that ridiculous $6M contract.
  17. Say What???? If you go by on field performnce... AS YOU STATE... then Shane Matthews wins hands down.... he almost doubled Bledsuck's QB rating. If Bledsuck is the best QB on this team then, with him as a starter" the Bills go no where... For a 12 year vet and a career 76.6 QB rating he is the most over rated QB in the history of the NFL...
  18. the first thing you have to do is get rid of the "cancer"... So, the top priority has to be getting rid of Bledsoe... adios!! The margin of error for the offense is razor thin when he's playing. You can win with a QB like that if he doesn't make mistakes himself... but he does...and he makes lots of them and the big mistakes... I can't think of any 12 year veteran QB that makes as many bonehead mistakes as he does. Why so many fans worship him and drink his koolaid, I'll never understand.... this guy is the most over rated and hyped QB of all time. I said it many times... you can't get to a SB with him as your starter, let alone win one. When "we only need one pin, Rodney" you can take it to the bank that Bledsoe will put it in the gutter... every time. He's a big time loser and he's taking up way too much salary cap space. 2) Lindell.... outa here!! 3) Let Jennings go and get a real LT 4) Get a real center and a real LG 5) Resign Pat Williams or bring in someone comparable. The drop off is significant when he and Sam are not in there together. 6) DE needs to be addressed, as in "BIGGER, MORE PHYSICAL"... the Bills DEs are too small/light and got punished yesterday by a bigger and physical Steeler O line. 7) Get a real Free safety.... one that is physical. Vincent is a high price to pay for a nickel back and a "stop gap" at FS. 8) a real tight end would be nice. and my only question is... why is Posey on this team? Can't we get the same or better production from Josh Stamer or a journeyman?
  19. Jets & Rams are the only two teams facing each other that have something to play for. Pitt, Indy, & NE will rest a lot of players and coast. So... we better hope the Rams can pull off some magic... cuz they ain't better than the Jets... Let's just hope they are for this game... It would be a huge upset... and the NY media will be allover the Jets if they lose.
  20. you kill me AKC... Now send me your address so I can send you the dry cleaning bill for causing me to spew coffee all over my nice new polo shirt. I can't believe anyone would have the nerve to throw this gem out on the heels of the Bills blistering of the 49ers. I mean... aren't we talking about the 22nd rated QB in the NFL passing for a pathetic 172 yards in 21 completions against the NFLs 22nd ranked defense? Hell, Matthews nearly trippled that production in only two completions. For Christ's sake... Bledsoe ranks lower than Brian Griese, Kerry Collins, Jake Plummer, and Kurt Warner???? The only excuse for you propping him up that I can come up with is that you've overdosed so badly on the Bledsoe Koolaid that your lungs are so filled that they can't deliver oxygen to your brain. Bledsoe's been working with a short field for the past few weeks, thanks to the 3rd ranked defense that has tied the NFL record for turnovers in a 6 game span and a special teams unit that's playing lights out, and a running back that's produced over 1,000 yards in essentially 9 games, and the dude still can't play even a little bit closer to the level of play of the D and ST. Geezuz God... for $6M he ought to be delivering a sh-- load of offense instead of after 13 years having the coaching staff dumb the offense down for him and throw in gadget plays to help increase his effectiveness. Dispelling myths... are you out of your GD mind??? Please... I'll chill for a bit on the anti-Bledsoe rhetoric (although true and accurate). But, you've got to do your part too and not bait me with such atrocious stevestojan... and I might even forgive you for wrecking my shirt.
  21. Dude... 2/3 of Jacksonville was out of town visiting their families back in NY over Christmas. No one is from Jacksonville... they just live there.
  22. dude... please, stop it. can you criticize your brother and yet still love him. can you criticize the president and still vote for him? What you need to do is get over the fact that many of us criticize the team. In this life there's always room for improvement. And even the best players and coaches in football will tell you that when you're satisfied you're going to have problems.
  23. happy holidays to you too. Nice comment about Drew. He is class guy... no question about it, he grades over the top there. But "class" doesn't produce 1st downs, completions, and TD, and, most of all... WINS. The Bills staff knows that and 31 other NFL teams know it. But for some reason, a lot of Bills fans don't see it. This season still hangs in the balance... even if the Bills win out, their season could be over. And if that's the way it ends up... so be it. At least they fought the good fight and have momentum and a lot of other things going for them as they come to camp next season... just hope the injury bug doesn't jump out at them. Lastly... the Pittsburgh game (unless the Bills make the playoffs) will be Drew's last game as the Bills starter (and let's hope he plays like it)... unless injury hits JP... the job is his... the Bills gain nothing by continuing to start Bledsoe and in this league, and life too, if you aren't gaining ground and moving forward, you're losing ground and moving in reverse. Merry Christmas to all.
  24. Jeezuz God AKC... I know Brady isn't your prototypical QB say, Like Rothlisberger or Manning....but man... this Brady kid, 99% of the time doesn't hurt his team (unlike a number of QBs, who I shall not name in order that I not hurt your feelings)... he does whatever is asked... he's not standing behind an all pro offensive line, nor does he have weapons like a Moulds and Evans, but he does have a Corey Dillon... and has won the big one twice despite having an Antowain Smith. Who cares if he can't function in 80% of your "historical" (mythical) offenses... he can function in ANY offense you put him in because.... 1) He has a PASSION for football 2) He has a PASSION for winning 3) He has a PASSION for working hard He is basically your classic over achiever. Is that a crime? This kid is a football player... and I don't care what his stats are or the joy you take in his Monday night whiff in crunch time, the kid has like a 60-15 w/l record overall or close to it. Say what you will... but folks close to the game and those who know the game would roll over laughing their arses off reading your analogy of Brady and his game.... I know I almost did... but hey... it's your opinion and I still wish you and yours a Merry Christmas... and I'd love to have Brady as the Bills QB instead of the "current starter" any day of the week and especially on Sundays.
  25. Dude... you can not bring these negative sort of posts in here and expect these folks to give you a free pass. It might not have been as bad if you'd have left it at the Bills playing lousy teams... because, after all, only the Jets would qualify as a good team over the past 5 weeks... but to say "smoke and mirrors"... that put you over the edge because the Bills ST and Defense have made huge plays over the past 5 weeks (no smoke and mirrors about it).... and once and a while, even offense has had a moment or two of clarity. Post what you want to post, but be a man and take your lumps like we all do when you slip a tad over the edge.
