Frank Coyle is a DraftInsiders.com guy
DeeRay replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
let me see if i've got this right.... hovan is rated way higher than pat williams? and jerry porter rated higher than edgerrin james? this frank coyle dude is either dilusional or smokin way too much crack. -
it's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it... and that is disagree with the consensus that Stamer can't replace Posey. bull sh--!!! Stamer is ready to takeover for Posey (with conditions, keep reading). Who isn't?? What the hell has Posey done? Nothing, zero, nada, squat!!! At least Stamer is aggressive and a huge contributor on special teams... and that INT late in the game with the 49ers showed major league athletic ability. The only reason Posey is in there at all is to cover up a weakness at LDE. Posey doubles as both LB and a 5th defensive lineman, if you will. If we have an above average DE on the left side, then Posey becomes a liability and it would be more valuable to have a speed type LB under those circumstances. Yeah... Stamer can be a starting outside LB, but not unless we have a LDE that can keep offensive lineman from getting into the 2nd tier and wiping out the LBs. Kelsay and Denney have shown flashes, but neither has shown any consistency or the ability to command more than just average attention from offensive lineman.

9.17 Million Dollar Cap Hit For Mike Williams...
DeeRay replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
PROVE IT!!! according to the latest figures, the bills are approx. $14 m under the cap. you think that aint enough under the cap to sign a prominant FA??? well, if it aint, then how much under do the bills have to be to grab a "prominant" FA? granted the cap numbers are ridiculous for a RT, and even worse an underachieving RT.... but, let's face it, that's the price you have to pay for a #4 pick. Most every Bills fan supported the drafting of MW... who should the bills have taken, McKinnie??? If Mike Williams turns out to be a bust, it's no one elses's fault but his own... all of the scouting done on him league wide had him in the top 7. -
Now here is some real brilliant logic. just because a certain RT makes LT money, the bills automatically ought to move him to LT. It only makes sense, because he's being paid like a LT. To hell with the fact that MW has struggled at RT and there are questions as to whether or not he really wants to play football. And to hell with the fact that he's been labled as an underachiever and a bust. Let's just move him to LT to protect JP's blindside. How goddamn stupid!!! MWneeds to first become a competent RT before you consider any move to LT... he can't even be considered inside the top 20 as RT right now, let alone a LT.

I hate to piss in everyon'e cornflakes... but we've all been jacked up each of the last 4 years on the bills before the season began... only to get it shoved up our collective asses. best case scenario for this team is that it's gonna go 9-7 again and miss the playoffs. In fact, I have bad dreams about the Dolphins and Jets finishing at least as good or better than the Bills. The Bills beat NO ONE this season, except for the Jets. And even though the Bills rolled over sh------- teams by a wide margin, that doesn't mean sh--. When the Bills had to play a good team and win... they didn't... and that's the bottom line. Watching the defense get manhandled by the Steelers at home in a must win just showed me that this defense is not as good as we think... and a team that has patience with their running game will breakthrough against the bills eventually. With pat williams not a sure thing to be back... if the bills don't bring in a high calibre DT to offset this deparature, they're in huge trouble becasue Sam Adams is totally ineffective without a damn good DT next to him... and that has been well documented. None of the Bills DTs on the current roster are good enough to play even close to Pat Williams level. And all three DEs are average at best... and I don't know how much better they can get. Free safety with Troy Vincent there is a real problem... he's more concerend about the players union and making sure that players are happy... No way is he going to lay the wood to a receiver coming across the middle... he's going to make sure they're nice and comfy and get back up after a mild tackle. Milloy's selfishness, once thought to be bull sh--, is now fact. So, the Bills are not as fortified at safety as many of us may think. I drank my last cup of Donahoe piss koolaid in 2003.... and I ain't drinking any more. Donahoe is this team's biggest problem when it comes to not winning. As far as the maketing end of things and selling tickets.... well Doanhoe has no peers... he is simply the best.... if you don't believe it just look at his record over the past 4 years and name me one team that's had a similar receord (except for the Skins... which doesn't matter to those fans) and i'll guarantee their attendance or revenue ain't even close to what the bills has been. He's always been able to bring in a name player to get the fans jacked up... and with cutting bledsoe and re-structuring moulds to clear cap space, he's about to sign a big name again.... adn agiain, I'm afraid the results will be the same.... no playoffs.

Bills First Major Free Agent signed...
DeeRay replied to DeeRay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you actually think that either Bubba Franks or Jermaine Wiggins...at this point in their careers...want to go play for a team being led by a quarterback who has barely run more than nine plays in any single NFL game in his entire freakin' life? -
A tight end... and either Bubba Franks or Jermaine Wiggins. Why would the Bills pick up a tight end first, you ask.? Folks, this is the team's area of greatest need at this time, and a competent # 3 WR is a close second. Both Campbell and Euhus tore ACLs in early December... which means both will likely start out the season on the PUP list. Campbelll's game was blocking more than receiving and he's gonna lose a little quickness getting off and into a defender. That aint good. Hopefully he'll regain his form... but if that happens at all, it ain't gonna be til November at the earliest. Euhus is more of a receiver/Hback type that was a barely adequate blocker when he went down... so the chances of him regaining his athletcism by September is pretty slim... and he may not even get it back by November... and even if he does... this position still has to be considered below average. So, the bills got Trafford, Neufeld to work with... and Perhaps Peters and around the goal line, maybe Ryan Denney.... Anyone really feel confident with our two best TEs coming off torn ACLs and the 3, 4, 5, and 6 options? Well, I sure as hell don't... and if Donahoe & Mularkey have any sense about them, they'll snatch a starting calibre TE in free agency or trade quickly after Free agency begins.

I'm not saying Drew was slow but
DeeRay replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dude... this cut had absolutely zero to do with DB's physical limitations. It had evrything do do with his mental grasp of the game, his poor decison making, his slow decision making, his lack of pocket presence and lack of his intangebles.... and if intangibles could be measured, on a scale of 1-100, DB would garner about a 2. He just doesn't get it... the QBs job is not to simply throw tight spirals... it's about managing the game... on offense, you've got the ball... you have control. It's about moving the chains, scoring points, and not hurting your team as a whole (offense, defense, st). For some reason... DB cannot comprehend that. -
Who gives a rats ass wher he lands... let's just hope it's Miami or the Jets.

John Clayton Just Answered My E-mail on ESPN Radio
DeeRay replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude... you're probably a very nice person... just like Drew Bledsoe is. Having stated that... You have got to get over the fact that Drew Bledsoe flat out sucks and will never again be more than a marginally competent starter in the NFL. What the hell does "land on his feet" mean??? Jiminy Crickets.... If any NFL GM even considers paying Bledsoe the NFL minimum, I would consider that "landing on his feet". How many of us can make $650K per yr. to under-perform? Considering what a piece of sh-- he is as a QB, he will be extremely lucky to even be on an NFL roster come September. So...dude... get over it... As an NFL QB, Bledsoe is as done as a Turkey left in a blazing deep fryer for 10 hours. Set your self free Bud and stop apologizing for this loser. -
MSP 8.0 does... APP 1.5 supports it and gives you 5 mulligans to try and then you have to buy the plugin.

QUOTE(DeeRay @ Feb 11 2005, 01:26 PM) If you're able to capture as MPEG2 then all you have to do is burn the DVD in Nero. but again it's two steps... capture, and then The video quality also (generally) isn't anywhere near as good as it would be if you captured and then used TMPGenc (or similar) to encode. Time vs. quality. How good is "good enough?"
-
it's any easy decision for you to make... but it depends on whether you want to take the easy way or the hard way... allow me to explain. If you convert through the computer you... 1) have to capture the video... that takes significant hard drive space and a capture card if you're talking vhs... unless you also have a digital camcorder... in that case you can take the a/v out on your vcr, send that to the input on your digital camcorder and then use the fire wire out on the dig camcorder to your computer 2) once you capture... if it's in AVI format, you have to convert it to MPEG2, which adds a step and more time. If you're able to capture as MPEG2 then all you have to do is burn the DVD in Nero. but again it's two steps... capture, and then burn The easy way... if you just want to make a straight copy, just get a standalone dvd recorder and connect your vcr straight to that and make a copy in real time. One step.

I Doubt the Bills will spend Pace level $ at LT
DeeRay replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills might not spend big$$ on a LT... but i certainly wouldn't rule it out... they're spending $3.5m on a safety right now... and they were paying Bledsoe $5M until this year... so... anything is possible. It comes down to whether or not TD believes whomever the Bills may sign at LT provides value. -
Oh yeah... if I'm Bill Parcells and my job is on the line, if I bring in Bledsoe to do that I might as well as put a bullett in my head. The greatest attribute Bledsoe has ever had is tha he's a nice guy. As far as being an NFL QB??? Well, IMO, he's an absolute disgrace n that regard.

dude... anyone that thinks cds are the be all and end all are insane. cds are no different than their predessors... first wire, tape, vinyl, 8 track, and cassettes... they all became obsolete due to emergent technology. Heck, memory stix the size of stick of gum hold morre info right now than a CD. Yeah... rush out to transfer all of your vhs tapes to DVD... and then get ready to transfer them to the next new medium... and on and on.

The Bills are not moving to Canada....
DeeRay replied to billsfaninnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i don't foresee any nfl team in canada... ever. the canadian dollar, the expos mess, and the raptors aren't doing so hot as a franchise. When a player plays there they end up getting less $$... yada ,yada... and I guarantee you when it comes time to buiild an NFL class stadium... the folks (taxpayers) up there will not be held hostage and accept footing the bill forthat like us kitty ass americanos do. -
Anyone who thinks J.P. is ready.....
DeeRay replied to canbuffan34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
and how do you know that JP can't read a defense??? He did score fairly high on his wonderlic test... fairly close to Eli Manning. Could Joe Ferguson read a defense when Lou Saban decided to go with him as a rookie? All he had to know was to hand the ball off to #32. And, all JP needs to know is hand the ball off to #21... the rest will sort itself out. -
I was pleasantly surprised w/ Bledsoe's 04 play
DeeRay replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you're pleasantly surprised by Bledsoe's performance this year over last year? Wow... dare to be adequate, will ya!!! we're talking about a 12 year veteran QB that flat out sucks...and you're giving him an "atttaboy" for jumping from a 73.0 QB rating in 2003 to a whopping 76.6 QB rating in 2004???????? Let's be real... for his rating to only go up that much when he had a better ST unit and defensive unit that handed the ball over to the offense more than any other team over the last half of the season.... well, is absolutely pathetic... and his sack total was cut but at least a third over the previous season. the bottom line is... we all have got to stop this bull sh-- coddling and apologizing of this 12 year veteran piece of sh-- qb and hold his sorry ass accountable for his piss poor performance. he's done... at least as a starter for the Bills... stick a fork in him and move on. -
And for my 407th post...YOU WIN !!!
DeeRay replied to Oneida Lake's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WTF? Unfair? what the hell is unfair about attacking any player or QB who sucks and constantly does stupid, bonehead mistakes that even most rookies don't make? why the hell is Bledsoe exempt from any criticism? WTF... is he some sort of holy grail? Is he the 2nd coming of Christ? Is he the Messiah? WTF? He damn well desrves whatever criticism is handed out because he played like sh-- over the past two seasons. -
let's not go off the deep end here. who exactly did the Bills defeat this year? Answer: except the Jets, the Bills beat either mediocre or horrible teams. And, when they had their chance to fish or cut chum, they bombed against the Steelers at home. My plan was to go ahead and throw JPL after the deabacle in New England and "come what may" Fans would have counted this season as a 'mulligan' for Mularkey. Now he has no choice but to go with Losman and live with the results... which will be another 9-7 season at best, and another early tee time for the players. There are very few leaders on this team. Fletcher is proabably as close as you come. If you want to benchmark that, remember the days of Kelly, Thomas, Talley. You had guys like that who spoke up and the team would follow. that ain't there now... and until it does, the Bills are just spinning their wheels.
-
I have no idea how anyone could draw that conclusion... simply because his former OC has been hired by the bucs as QB coach means nothing... by that logic, Drew Brees is headed to miami because Hudson Hauck is the new OL coach or Michael Bennett is headed to Miami because Scott Linehan was his OC in Minnesota. Totally riduclulous and just plain fabricated.
-
for harami... probably not. But, like everything else... the degree of ease or difficulty is relative to one's skill set. To me, it's fairly easy... but then again I do it almost every day.
-
dude... it's really very simple. 1) the VHS tapes you have will need to be played back and captured in real time on your computer... get a Canopus AVDC 100 box for $250 for analog capture into your computer.... expect to consume 10 gigs of hard drive space per hour of high quality video which will be saved as AVI files. 2) I'm not sure what format your TIVO files are in. If they're in Mpeg 2 format, then all you've got to do is transfer those files to your hard drive. 3) Next you'll need non linear editing software that will accept both AVI and Mpeg files on the same editing timeline... I'd suggest Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, but it's a little pricey at around $500 plus, if you have know idea how to edit ... fuggitabout it because the learning curve will be significant. I know Windows movie maker accepts avi files on the timeline... I don't know about mpeg files though. Another option might be to pick up an analog capture card that captures in mpeg2 format... that way, if tivo is in mpeg2 format then you'll have all the same file types and then the software provided with the card should edit. 4) as far as adding your own audio... be it voice over or music.... just create your voice over in a sound recorder program and drop those voice (wav) files on the video timeline to sync with your video. If your audio is music... rip your music off a cd to wav or mp3 format and drop those on the video timeline to sync with the video... you can also fade up/down the music whenever you need to. have fun... if you're a novice at this and have no idea what the fug i just said, it's gonna be a long long ride.

charlie batch is as durable as pure crystal. i wouldn't take a chance on him at the rookie minimum... let a lone the veteran minimum. I've been saying.... the best value out there I see for a backup QB is Todd Bouman... check him out. He's servicebale, dependable, and won't break the bank.
