If Allen doesn't get it, especially after what happened last year, it's pretty cruel and borderline bizarre You can't keep breaking all time all time production records. So 5 straight years of 40 tds or more and nobody has ever had more than 3?

Would you sign up right now for a Buffalo at Kansas City AFCCG?
Kelly to Allen replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously yes. But I prefer them at buffalo 🦬 In KC is going to be a dogfight -

I mean it's been horrendous in the playoffs. But if that's when your defense is terrible, that's all that matters McDermott's defense gets a pass all the time in the 20 AFC championship which is also ridiculous. The very next week, Tampa found a way to play good defense. And the bills defense was healthy.... This is kinda delusional. Rousseau has had a dominant year. Von Miller has had dominat moments as a situational pass rusher. Same for Ed Oliver The question is will that happen in the playoffs -
This game is so frickin similar to the 1990 game vs the Giants. The Giants at the time were a completely different identity from buffalo. The Giants were a power running smashmouth football team with a big physical defense. Buffalo was the high flying bills with a great yac wr in Reed, a pro bowl veteran wr acquired the year prior in lofton and a RB in Thomas who could do everything Sound familiar? Also at this time in 1990, buffalo in 88 and 89 was a team that was viewed as somewhat finesse and there was questions if they could get over the hump. Years prior they faded down the stretch. There was real questions if the bills defense could hold up vs the physical giant oline... Interesting enough buffalo also lost a shootout to moon in Houston a few weeks earlier.... Buffalo won an extremely physical tough game 17-13 More context to that era which is extremely similar possibly, Marino was viewed in the same light as mahomes earlier in the 80s, and Elway was going to super bowls. Marino kinda faded in the second half of his career and Kelly got past him in the 90s. Shula like Reid was also an older coach I think this game will be very close and I think it's highly probable both meet again in the super bowl

I'm resting rapp and Douglas for a couple weeks. We've earned the right to rest guys. Take advantage of it Nothing wrong with getting Elam, Bishop and Ingram reps. Give Hardy a call up

Week 15, Bills v. Lions, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Kelly to Allen replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Come on dude I highly suspect the defense will be fired up from the embarrassment against the rams. They'll definitely ride to the occasion. -
I'm confident enough to the point I don't care who we play or where. I think we have the advantage imo.

Who are we playing in the super bowl? -
The pass protection vs a formidable front was excellent. Especially considering we were behind and knew that we had to pass Good signs. The depth on this line is really good too

Kelly to Allen replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall

This Come playoff time Don't be afraid to start Elam Dorian Williams D. Carter Rotate Javon Solomon as situational pass rusher and move Epenesa/ Rousseau inside. Oliver needs to step up. Someone else said in another thread In passing situations Solomon Oliver/Epenesa Rousseau / Carter V. Miller/ Smoot We need speed and explosiveness Don't forget Daequan Hardy. He's also a great athlete that I wish was on the active roster and was rotating in. He looked awesome in the preseason and his speed / athletic ability jumped off the screen In order to win a super bowl obviously your QB has to be the reason. Secondarily you need blue chip athletes making a few plays -
His explosive ability, speed and violence vs the run is desperately needed. Again why was he not starting vs KC in the playoffs last year. When he finally came in late we got some stops. So annoying

Nothing pissed me off more than watching KC play a bunch of rookies in the 22 AFC championship, play well and actually challenge Cincy, but watch Sean's soft zone scheme get absolutely shredded by a Cincy team with literal practice squad level olineman playing. Completely ridiculous -
100% The Elam narrative is bs. He's playing favorites for whatever reason and something else is going on Now I don't think it's anything nefarious, McDermott is a good person. At least from everything I know he seems like a very good person, highly respected. But something else is clearly going on with Elam. Maybe it's tackling, maybe it's his study habits, maybe there is something personal going on, whatever it is, has very little to do with " earning it" Same nonsense with Douglas starting vs KC last year in the playoffs limping around. Why wasn't Elam starting??? I haven't heard a single issue with Elam as far as character. So what is it? Douglas isn't bad but he's clearly lost a step this year. Again why isn't Elam even rotating in??? Why is KC in 22 playing all their rookies in the frickin AFC championship but Sean can't get his young defensive guys on the field. With a defense desperate for game changing speed and athletic ability
-
Again if McDermott has an " issue" with Elam, okay cool. You made a mistake. Release him or trade him in the off-season for whatever
-
Elam literally started vs Miami a month ago He started in the playoffs last year and had almost 2 int. He was hurt prior when he struggled vs the jags in London. That is why he went on ir Elam started and rotated in his rookie year. By the end of his rookie year he was our best CB and completely blanketed Tyreek Hill. It was extremely impressive All kinds of different media reported he was excellent in this years camp. They're not lying lol The Elam narrative is just bizzare Obviously something happened, it probably had something to do with butler and now here we go again.... Then cover 1 or other McDermott sycophants just make up stuff and pretend none of that happened. I don't know what is going on but if he's not starting Sunday then Elams agent needs to tell obd to release him. Then simply promote Hardy , sign a young CB to the ps and move on. He was our frickin 1st Rd pick. We all have eyes and understand he could've helped vs the rams. I don't get it People keep repeating stuff that makes zero sense. " He's in the doghouse" , " he's just not good" etc None of that is true. If he is in the doghouse, explain why? Because when he has played and is healthy he has been good. The eye test shows that, his pedigree shows that, his draft position supports that, and his pff grade proved that None of it makes sense

The combo of Elam, Bishop, Dorian Williams and maybe even using javon Solomon more would greatly increase the athletic ability and speed on defense. Obviously that's a simplistic statement and clearly experience matters, but one has to wonder after the rams game, and with McDermott saying today they need to have more self reflection, things can't just stay the same but not to overcorrect, I would hope it's asked in the meeting rooms with McDermott if those guys need to get more reps. I really hope Elam plays Sunday. At minimum I think it will help Over the next 4 weeks I would really like to see more Elam Bishop Cine Ingram Solomon Williams Ulofoshio Carter Hardy Speed and range matters and it was lacking big time vs the rams
