The rams game was confusing. I understand it's hard to bring the juice in every game but ugh. Rousseau looks like Sean Jones or frickin Charles Haley in some games and doesn't play to that level in others Same thing with Oliver Heck even epenesa will flash moments of being a dominant de Frustrating I really hope they make a statement against the lions. Possibly. I think McDermott's schematic game plan has failed. But obviously every facet of the defense is responsible, ( personnel and coaching) when it's been that bad in the playoffs I really hope they pull through. One thing that the rams did a lot was chip our des in passing situations. We need to adjust to that better I wonder if Solomon opposite Von Miller would be a thing they try. Rapp has been good. Maybe Bishop offers more man versatility because of his speed Same with Elam You never want to overreact to one game but what if the covg and overall defense looks much better with Elam, Bishop and Dorian Williams playing more in 3 lb sets? It's a good problem to have possibly. We can rest up Douglas and Rapp for a couple weeks or so and really evaluate the difference This is the award tho of winning the division early. You get to rest guys and you don't need to bring them back until they're 100%. You can then maybe be more comfortable looking at possible changes before the playoffs. Rapp plays such a physical game, he probably needs a rest regardless

We are 8th in scoring defense if I'm not mistaken We are 10th in dvoa after the rams game 8th in run defense dvoa I think they're top 5 in havoc plays. Tfl, turnovers, pressures , QB hits etc The third down defense is like 25th which is bad The total yds given up is 14th I think. Slightly above avg It's a good defense. But they gotta show up in the playoffs

If the narrative is your QB shouldn't pass in the playoffs it's at minimum a problem. He had 50 yds passing in the first half vs Houston and it was 10-10 at halftime. His running in the rpo and the ravens defense ( which was awesome) rised up and won Then against KC, the KC defense literally dared him to pass, put in 8 in the box and played tons of man and Lamar looked atrocious He has 6 passing touchdowns and 6 int in the playoffs in 6 playoff games. With a career passer rating of 75 in the playoffs Fyi nobody has ever won MVP if they are not top 10 in passing tds or passing yds in NFL history.
