This is now on Beane, no question he needs to step up.

The good news is the draft is loaded on the dline. But can beane hit on the picks?? They have a chance to get 3 studs on the dline and that's not even counting free agency -
I don't think McDermott is a " problem" in the context of just being a good coach and leader. Him and Beane are 100% a problem in the context of winning a championship The problem is his defense and beanes picks are indefensible and utterly embarrassed in the playoffs. In many respects it literally can't be worse on defense. So maybe there's nowhere to go but up. But ppl are rightfully pissed off. And it's tiresome. There is such a thing as someone being somewhere too long and failure after failure creating the urge to change leadership. Nobody here wants to think we're going to be remembered for 13 seconds and silly failures like the Warren Moon oilers. It's just gaslighting the fans when ppl act like we should be happy with that. I'm going to keep repeating it, it's a complete joke and embarrassing that we haven't been to at least one super bowl with this QB Elway who I and many compare Allen with went to 5 super bowls. We should have the same expectations with any regime that has Allen

Without a doubt losman. For multiple reasons 1. we failed to trade up for an obvious franchise QB in big Ben. 2. We panicked and traded the 05 1st for losman. 3. That pick in 05 could've been Rodgers. 4. Losman wasn't even a game manager, and couldn't read defenses. Total bust 5. This was the proverbial crossroads that marked the True incompetence and downturn of the bills organization. It took almost 25 years to find the next great QB after Kelly.... 6. The 09-10 seasons was some of the worst bills teams I've ever seen. I'm shocked they actually even won a football game. Those rosters were similar to the 83-85 teams

This is cringe. I don't get this. Our failure to win a championship has little to do with kc and everything to do with Beane and McDermott's defense being a joke in the playoffs. Other teams have either destroyed kc or simply played good defense and beat them. Even some teams that lost played much better on defense.

If you avg 30 PPG 3x in arrowhead and lose all 3 playoff games you have systemic issues on defense in personnel and coaching. The only playoff game I can remember where Allen played bad was vs Cincinnati. And that's when his elbow was hurt. Plus the second half of his first playoff game. Allen is number 1 all time in tds pg and yards pg in NFL playoff history.... Even Nick the troll wright has said Allen is the second best playoff qb right now. They need to overhaul the dline and cbs along with looking at a possible philosophical change on defense. This has nothing to do with kc and everything to do with the bills defense. Why? Because too much data is in with other teams playing much better defense against kc in wins and losses. I have lost a lot of faith in this regime to fix it, usually in the history of sports, they would've figured it out by now. The super bowl demoralized me because of the contrast in defense and then ppl in bills media saying " it's not realistic for the bills to have a dline like that".... Seriously??? It's very frustrating and I've tried to not be bitter about everything. But it's a complete joke and embarrassing that we haven't been to a super bowl with this QB. Anyone saying anything else is just a cope. Beane better build a great defense or I think it's time to move on. McDermott and Beane aren't entitled to infinite Elam and basham drafts while much lesser QBs get the glory of multiple rings because their front office can actually build a frickin pass rush and cover ppl If you asked me in 20 where we would be in 25, I would have guessed 2 titles. It's been a catastrophic failure no matter how ppl want to spin it.

Is it a terrible idea to sign Hollywood brown and draft Golden Rd 1? as the weeks have gone by I've become more concerned about how Coleman was after the injury and the adjustments secondaries were making against him. I understand he was a rookie but I just don't want to go through what we went through this year with the wide receiver room I'd much rather have more than enough talent there especially when you obviously have a great quarterback like Allen. It's also not the end of the world if Coleman is still a really good big play number three receiver I can live with that similar to Gabe Davis Having two second round picks gives us the flexibility to address the defensive line still -
Watching the playoffs again, i’m okay with Bass for now

He turned the corner, made an incredible kick vs Miami and then was perfect in the playoffs. -
Looking back on everything it is pretty incredible that the wide receiver room had a few injuries with Samuel had to make a trade for Cooper and then he got hurt, Kincaid got hurt , Coleman got hurt and yet Allen still had a MVP season.... And that's with sitting out the last game!!! I said before that Allen obviously took a superstar jump in 2020 but then he took another jump this past year from the pocket. Many of the games including the Seattle game I could swear Josh Allen reminded me of Tom Brady just sitting in the pocket and taking with the defense gave him. There was definitely another level of growth. All that being said, OJ Simpsons 2000 yards in 14 games when everybody knew he was getting the ball is one of the greatest single seasons in all of sports history. Not only that but OJ ran with such a unique style of Grace and speed that has been rarely seen from that position. Outside of Barry Sanders he's probably one of the coolest running backs just to watch play from an eye test standpoint It was almost like OJ was skating or gliding across the football field

Kenneth Grant reminds me of Cortez Kennedy but I fear he won't be there. I'm really warming up to the Boston college de or Golden, the wr from Texas. I like a CB in Rd 2

Let's be honest, Josh probably has 5 good seasons left

Exactly. Elway and big Ben, even favre took much more violent hits and more often and played well into their late 30s.... Same with Steve Young and Staubach. This question should be asked of mahomes who is Allen's doppelganger -
Defensive Tackle: Is it the Players or the System?
Kelly to Allen replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is a fair point. He doesn't play up to his athletic abilities and talent consistently. I think a lot of that is he doesn't have a true enforcer at nt next to him tho. But maybe that's where I'm wrong. If he needs that type of upgrade next to him, maybe he's not as talented as I think.... It's a tough question Your point is totally fair. He's too inconsistent. But his flashes are incredible. I just wish we saw it more -

None of those guys are better than Oliver. Oliver is as explosive as it gets from a 3 tech archetype. The problem is a formidable NT -

I agree generally. Although my faith in this regime has lost momentum with the same issues on defense in the AFC championship. I will say if we add Garrett or Crosby I'll be ecstatic. Simultaneously it's important to not get tunnel vision on a big trade when this draft is loaded in dline all across the top 120 picks. It could be a greater move to keep all our picks, and use free agency to fill out our needs. It does feel like if we do make a big trade it has the feeling of 2 steps forward 1 step back... -
Can you link this? I don't see this anywhere bro

Yup. This eagle roster is awesome. It's pretty much elite almost everywhere. It's the one roster that I agree is better than Buffalo. Not Baltimore.... If they lose it will be because of hurts. It will also let the bills off the hook so to speak a little bit. Ppl will say " hey if this eagles team couldn't beat kc maybe Buffalo was really the only team authentically in KCs way" This will especially be true if kc blows them out. Mahomes in a dome with a fully rested and healthy worthy, Hollywood and kelce could be lights out. Thuney at Lt has calmed things down. I also think trey Smith is the best guard in the NFL and can hold his own with Carter. Caliendo is a issue tho
-
Hurts is good but he's not a great QB like Allen. The difference between those teams and the bills is it's generally the lack of a few blue chip players around Allen that have failed in these games. Mainly on defense The only player that truly raised his level in a big moment was Gabe Davis. Diggs was really good vs Indy and Baltimore in 20... That's it.

Bills Hire Ryan Nielsen Senior Defensive Assistant.
Kelly to Allen replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's true. I can't remember but has McDermott ever brought in an established outsider on his side of the football that he didn't really know? I think this is the first time but I'm not sure -
Koonce is coming off an ACL I think. Obviously he's much younger and should be fine but he could be had much cheaper in fa

This is a good sign and tells me McDermott is not ideologically rigid. Just being willing to listen to new ideas tells me a lot -
Gambling in one degree or another infects/corrupts everything and more importantly the perception of everything. It's generally an environment of con artists/ liars/ low quality ppl It's a problem ( even if only in an optics context) and it's something that won't be fruitful and good for sports in the long run. I think you're naive about the world if you don't think organized crime, corruption etc exist. There are much greater conspiracies that have been proven in history, some very tragic. It's a tale as old as time The NFL needs to get away from it's partnership with legalized gambling. It's just going to get worse imo Just look up on how many of these gambling institutions even came about. It's pretty evil
