They 100% cut baseball (and other sports) to keep the football dream alive. To believe otherwise is misinformed — basketball will be terrible for the next decade as they put all NIL funds into that mediocre football team that nobody cares about I really hope they get a better president or AD that realizes the path to a better future is to lower football to FCS or D2

Times have changed. In the past we’d be excited about a snow event with a California team coming in. These days we are talking about when/if they move or reschedule the game

so they kill their baseball program and completely gut their basketball program to the point where it’s one of the worst D1 programs in the nation (they nearly lost to SUNY Fredonia)…. all to throw their money at their football program to recreate the “glory days” of the Lance Leipold era, where they played in front of a 3/4 empty stadium anyway…. just end it already it’s a failed venture

Odd response. The money they get from taxpayers of NY state has nothing to do with their paltry attendance, what we were discussing. The football “revenue” is also misleading, as the leading source of funding is the mandatory fee they make all students pay and has nothing to do with its support or efficiency
