  1. If you want to talk about your sex life start another thread. I already hijacked this one to bash Tom.
  2. No I wouldn't have. But I did have a group of people around me who were always willing to knock me off of my high horse and hammer some common sense into my thick skull whenever I became too full of myself... So, now I'm just passing it on and paying it back...
  3. You could always just look into a mirror.
  4. Was it John Kerry who said this? Mr. College Republican, do you know the meaning of the word hypocrisy? In that one post you did/said everything that you supposedly despise John Kerry for doing/saying. Oh and while you’re taking about that post, you don’t like posts that paint all of your peers in an unflattering light? Gee, you don’t seem to have a problem with posting nonsense about all Vietnam Vets, or all Liberals, or all anybody else you don’t agree with. I guess it’s demeaning if it’s directed at you, but it’s constructive criticism if it’s coming from you. Here's a guarantee for you kid; Whenever you and your buddies return from whatever shooting war you eventually participate in, (if you ever do, which remains to be seen) you will look back on your current attitudes and worldview and wonder how you managed to breathe with your head jammed that far up your own a$$. I can confidently predict that, because I’ve experienced it first hand.
  5. Kid, give it up... the only thing trapped is your head up your a$$ The road to hell and all that... Felt like a complete miss to me... Well goody good-good for you, especially since it gives your kitty A$$ the option of changing your mind if we're still in Iraq when you finally graduate from Walden.
  6. But... But... I read right here on this board how Sen McCarthy was right and those damm liberals kept attacking him until they finally beat him down. And if people said thaat here it must be true, right?
  7. At no point did I ever say that anyone had to do anything in order to express any opinion. What I said was; if you don't have the nads to back up your opinion, (ie by enlisting and fighting in the war you support) then in MY OPINION you're a kitty. And I still don't care whether you agree with my opinion or not.
  8. **Yawn** Only Guilty People take the fifth...
  9. That article really pi$$ed me off...
  10. Fair enough, but do you really want to put your ignorance on display that way? How is it possible for my opinion to violate the spirit of the first amendment? Where does it say in the first amendment that RI Bills Fan's opinions must be approved by RkFast? They are PUSSIES too. It doesn't matter. If you support the war, and are of age to serve, you have two choices: a) enlist and go to Iraq or b) admit you're a kitty! No exemptions, they're PUSSIES! Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Enlist and go or be a kitty! Gay people have the same rights as straight people in my eyes. A) Yes B) Yes C) No, unless you went looking for an argument and decided to get some trim instead, in which case the answer becomes Yes. D) No, but you being in the local head shop will be reported to the FBI as required by the Patriot Act. A) Qualifies B) Qualifies C) Qualifies D) Qualifies, as long as your recruiter doesn't ask and you don't tell. You could have chosen to serve earlier, avoided this war, and not been a kitty! Don't complain to me that you made the wrong choices early in life. And I still don't care that you don't care, so there!
  11. Please find anywhere that I said that you didn't have the right to express your opinion, or anywhere where I said that someone must put their ass on the line in order to have an opinion on this issue. What I said was: IN MY OPINION, people who are vocal supporters of the war in Iraq, and are of age to serve in said war, who refuse to join the military and fight for the cause that they so loudly espouse, ARE GUTLESS PUSSIES! And I also said that you have the right to that opinion, as well as the right to B word and moan about my opinions, because of the millions of people like me WHO DID SERVE AND ARE STILL SERVING.
  12. Why? Could it be because most posters haven't figured out yet that you, Ramius, and Holcomb's Arm are all the same person posting under different names as your medication wears off?
  13. Just because I can put this after my name, TMCM (SS/SW) USN Ret., I'm going to volunteer to answer your questions. 1. No, unlike many Repblicans I will never question someone's patriotism just because their political views don't coincide with mine. 2. Why YES! Yes you are a kitty! If you are a vocal advocate of a war but are unwilling to put your own a$$ on the line for what you suposedly believe in, then you are a kitty! 3. Gee, no shidt, the draft is not currently being used... That could change you know... I wonder how many college republicans will head for Canada if it does? 4. How in the holy flying hell does calling out pussies like you, idiots who are vocal supporters of the Iraq War, as long as they aren't the one's fighting it, slander anybody on active duty? Please, Please, explain that to me. 5. I already signed up and did 20+ years of active duty, serving in Vietnam, Beiruit, Panama, Grenada, and the first Gulf War, I more than earned the right to B word, in fact because of my service and the service of millions of other guys and gals like me, you also have the right to B word, so go ahead and use the rights that other people earned for you, B word away... 6. and as for wanting to join up... IT'S YOUR TURN...
  14. All news sources are flawed by the personal beliefs of the people who work for them. The NYT doesn't fact check as well as they should if the story fits their reporter's preconcieved notions. Fox cherry picks stories and facts to fit the agenda they push. Net result? Same old Sh*t! From both sides! Yet each time you find a nugget you can wave in the air, you act like it's something new. **Yawn** Over-React Much?
  15. If those figures are accurate, and I have no idea whether they are or not, then this country is well on it's way to third world status. So we might as well implement universal health care, it won't make any difference. The top 50% of American Taxpayers, the one's who earn 86.7% of the income in this country and pay 96.7% of the taxes, obviously have such a different standard of living than the bottom 50% that they'll never notice the difference.
  16. Hey, thank you for clarifying what I believe and indulge in... I might not have known what I was doing if it weren't for you. LOL Just a side note, my scorn is reserved for the lemmings who have a ready explination as to why whatever this White House did was perfectly acceptable (or at least not as bad as the actions taken by the previous administration) no matter how badly the facts have to be bent, folded, spindled, and mutilated. OBTW - If the previous admin had fired a prosecutor who was following up links from a previous case which appeared to lead directly to a close ally of the President, do you have any doubt in your mind that the same voices that are now chanting "it wasn't a crime," would be screaming "Obstruction of Justice?"
  17. I see, the talking points here are a continuation of the "Plame Gambit." 1. But, but, but... it isn't a crime. (Unless we can blame it on Clinton, so there, Nyah!) 2. This is a non-story, every president is allowed to replace them at will. (Harp on Clinton replacing all 93 when he took office, ignore the fact that both Bushes and Regan did the exact same thing, after all it's only sinister if Clinton did it, so there, Nyah!) 3. Ignore, ignore, ignore... Nothing to see here, move on... (It'll go away if we can keep people from looking too closely at what those seven were doing that caused the unusual decision to replace them mid-term. Look over there, not over here, but Clinton replaced all 93 and you libs never said a word, so there, Nyah!) Yes Tom, Bad Marketing... (You really need a new excuse line...)
  18. I'm just wondering what "Talking Points" will be used to discredit these articles. Firing urged during probe... Prosecutor's expertise praised by Justice Dept. I already know that many of the "fair and balanced" centrists on this board consider the Washington Post to be a... shall we say less than centrist... newspaper, so that particular TP can be left unsaid...
  19. When the hell did this board become a bastion of scientific discussion? I come here to watch right & left wing loonies beat the hell out of each other over subjects neither of them understand.
  20. The highlighted portion of your text is the key. Read the links I provided earlier, and the post you just responded to, the UNCF does not award scholarships to any colleges or universities not on their list of HBCU's. No scholarships to Harvard, Yale, FSU, etc. So as I've said all along, they do not neet the specified criteria.
  21. I corrected your post for you.
  22. The interesting part of this discussion is the fact that the thread was started with a post about the (supposedly real, but I still can't find anything on it with the exception of Ramius' post) FSU College Republicans Scholarship. The UNCF was thrown into the discussion by someone else as a supposedly racist organization whose racist policies are embraced because it represents minority on majority racism rather than the traditional majority on minority racism. I tried to subtly show just how ludicrious that position is by linking to the two organizations web pages. But apparently there are a few people here who cannot get past the fact that the UNCF has the word Negro in it's name. Apparently in many eyes that is enough to make it a racist organization. The number of scholarships awarded to white males by the UNCF is totally irrelevant to the original question. It doesnt matter if it is zero or 99.9% of all scholarships awarded. The fact of the matter is that the UNCF is an organization set up and run for the purpose of supporting a finite number of traditionally black colleges and universities. that is it's sole reason for existing. And to the best of my knowledge it does what it is designed to do. I can't find any evidence of racial profiling in their scholarship program. The College Republicans however are a recruitment arm of the Republican Party. A political party which supposedly has a big tent policy. You know, a party that includes Americans of all races, religions, and sexual orientations. And they do have a racial profiling element in their scholarship requirements. Therefore the UNCF policies are non-racist while the FSU College Republicans Policies (with regards to their supposed scholarship, only) are racist.
  23. I answered all of your whiney but, but, but... comments in my first post, go back and read it...
