If you're going to piss and moan about what you think I've pissed and moaned about, at least piss and moan about the correct thing. I've never pissed and moaned about the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. What I've laughed at is the Vast Right Wing Circle Jerk that has completely overwhelmed any possibility of rational discussion on this board.

You're a retired dependent, and it can't possibly be an insult, because I would never denegrate your wife's military service. And there's no argument for me to win or lose. I made a statement of fact. "It's hypocritical for you to call out another poster for posting something which includes the broad brush statement all whatevers are_______ , because you are constantly making similar statements with reference to liberals." There is no argument. It is a simple and undeniable statement of fact. You don't like it, I don't care, case closed.

Apparently in your world saying "all conservatives think this way" or "all libertarians are whatever" is painting with an overly broad brush because those statements are obviously demonstratively ludicrous generalizations. But saying "all liberals (or progressives) are whatever" is just stating the obvious. Because everyone knows that while conservatives and libertarians are individuals who are capable of independent thought and have differing opinions on a variety of subjects, liberals are just a bunch of mindless, faceless, clones who have their opinions fed to them by the Pelosi & Moore Mind Control System. Just reinforcing reason # 347 of why it's insane for anyone not in lockstep with you and the VRWCJ to post more than the ocasional jibe on PPP.

So in your opinion the only time anyone should be concerned with government spending is after the fact. Once the out of control spending (over a period of lets say... 8 years) has done enough damage to cause the economy to "Crash and Burn," then and only then it's time to completely reverse your thinking and start screaming and yelling about it. And of course, with a new [shudder, shudder] Liberal Administration[/shudder, Shudder] taking the reins and setting their own priorities [which by some strange coincidence differ more than slightly from what you think their priorities should be] it is obviously all them Damm Liberals Fault that the damage wasn't fixed 5 minutes after the new POTUS took office. Yes, You (and a few others like AD) ocasionally bashed the previous administration for it's out of control spending. But the majority of the current loud anti spending voices were saying things like "Deficits don't matter" or "When measured against the GNP the deficit is really smaller than it appears" and my personal favorite "The war in Iraq will pay for itself" not long ago. The fact that the loudest deficit hawks on this board were loudly and stridently singing a vastly different tune just two short years ago makes it much harder to take their current position seriously. Add the fact that one of the loudest of those voices told everyone on the board what he was going to do after the election; change positions and make more noise than the "Liberals" did bashing Bush. He wasn't lying, he's doing just what he said he would, complaining loudly and stridently about everything he defended when Bush was in office. And they wonder why I read and laugh, and laugh, and laugh...

Before the lady has a chance to answer, the stewardess continues: "It is most extraordinary to make this kind of upgrade, however, and I have had to get special permission from the captain. But, given the circumstances, the captain felt that it was outrageous that someone should be forced to sit next such an obnoxious person." With that, she turned to the black man and said: "So if you'd like to get your things, sir, I have your seat ready for you..." At which point, the surrounding passengers stood and gave a standing ovation while the man walked to the front of the plane

I just watched it. Somebody owes me 20 minutes. But in reality, Gov Palin has very little to complain about. Nothing in there worth the fuss, IMHO.

Now forget about it. What I want to know is; what was the line in the show that was so vile, dispicable, crass, and heartless that it drove Governor Palin to make those statements in defense of her child? Actually I find it's pretty easy to be a hypocrite if you're a human, but that's just me. You wanna spout PPP Talking Points fine, "Liberals Bad!" Not to interupt the ongoing game of "Elephant Pile on the Liberal" but what exactly was the rude, crude, offensive, and tasteless attempt at a joke that started all of this in the first place? What line in the show caused all this furor? Was it the girl with downs syndrome who is portrayed as leading a normal life and dating a boy her own age stating that her mother was the Governor of Alaska? How is that an insult? And who is being insulted? Or was it something else? I'm Just askin...
