  1. Jim's line in the SuperBowl years was nothing to sneeze at. If these guys can evolve into that until, we could have a contender the next few years.
  2. I had a third beer, for the 4th quarter, Doppelganger from Treehouse. It was good and the comeback was complete!
  3. Only when the team wins, and is in competition for the AFC East or a lock for a wild card, they will become "known" players. Beane and McD have started something good. This is the first time in a long time my optimism isn't just Blind Bills Fandom.
  4. Home, with my Father if he can make it. Beer is reasonable and I don't worry about DUI, not that I can drink that much with twin toddlers.
  5. There is a group at Murphy's Law in Bridgeport. I went there one year, but then had twins and got the ticket for the condo. Moved to Newtown and kept the ticket. My Dad and I go to McFaddens in NYC once a year for the Bill game day experience (kind of, sort of, but not really)
  6. Thanks Shaw, here's to hoping 2019 is a season to remember for all the correct reasons!
  7. Its nice to see the Bills are woke! Seriously, if there are qualified women, let them get their foot in the door. Should football continue (CTE, mom's not letting their kids play) I would not be surprised to see a female head coach. The times they are a changin'
  8. especially if you are on a filtered well!
  9. During the Kelly years the team would often go 0-4 during pre-season.
  10. I think if they didn't have Thurman, and if he didn't blame Kelly for the throw that hit him right in the numbers he might have stuck around.
  11. Seems like a good kid, plus points for being a North side (Cubs fan). She has an accessible writing style and she's a cute kid. Best of luck to her.
  12. Upper Fairfield County, CT. Patsy, Jests, and Giants.
  13. of his era. Put Brady in the 1970's with the likes of Bradshaw and Staubach and he would not have the success he does now. QB's weren't protected like Brady is today. I take nothing away from the douchebag, but to call him the greatest of ALL time is not fair since every generation the game changes and Brady has been protected like few quarterbacks before him.
  14. As the immortal Ric Flair said "To be the man, you have to beat the man". To truly win the east they will need to beat the Pats, at least at home. Now, will they win in 2019? I am eternally optimistic this time of the year, and past history does not necessarily predict future results. It would seem to me too soon, but it is nice to have the media throwing the team some love as a change of pace.
  15. Love your posts and love the optimism! My Dad was at the rockpile in 1960 and I enjoy your vantage point.
  16. Me too! Dad is from Buffalo and was at the Rockpile in 1960.
  17. JP had a good arm and was a good college QB. NFL is a different animal and he could not adjust to the speed and complexity of the defenses.
  18. Cut Ivory, draft RB. Shady gets the starts, gets spilled by the rookie. Gore used in Red Zone/Goal line/short yardage.
  19. A paid holiday for drinking too much the night before? I love it!
  20. voted mostly indifferent, I'm in Bridgeport, CT; I got the Giants whom I could care less about, the Jets who I care about twice a year and the Pats who as far as I'm concerns can lose every game and I'd still not like them. For me it's Bills or nothing.
  21. I am slightly down about it, but my wife is thrilled to get Sundays back. We are hopefully moving in January so it's just as well.
  22. I like Sal and Leo. I am in Bridgeport CT, son of a Buffalo native and lifelong Bills fan. Sal and Leo remind me of NY Post sports writers. They are negative because they look at the product the Bills have put out for the past 18 years and write critically. Compare now to the super bowl years and the team is a bunch of pikers. They say the team has a good coach and some key players and are optimistic for 2019; but for now they are cool on a team that blew a game to the Jets. As fans we are inclined to wear rose colored glasses; they are not fans, they are journalist. Just my $0.02.
  23. I am no great football minds, but I saw that play before the snap. WTF
  24. The dude has a losing record to The Ohio State University. If he can get a team up for that, how could he be good in the NFL?
  25. Ageed, the offense isn't the dumpster fire we thought it was. Barkley isn't the second coming of Frank Reich, but with play like that I will not find seeing him in a Bills uniform for the foreseeable future. A competent QB showed there is some talent in the offense. We need to get JA back to see if we have our quarterback.
