  1. At least Duff Man would recognize whent the blitz package wasn't working and would leave someone in the defensive backfield.
  2. No one was calling Belichek a HC genius after his stint in Cleveland. It took a second tour with Parcells and the downing of Bledsoe to make him look good.
  3. Maybe they asked "Why the hell do you blitz so much when you nevre get to the QB". He must be tired os if because I was asking him that all season.
  4. Yeah, but he was terrible as the HC in Buffalo. Some coaches are amazing coordinators, but make horrible HC's.
  5. On the downside, Marv also messed up with Todd Collins
  6. I would have rather had the Dough Boy for a season, then The Staute from New England.
  7. Maybe it’s because hope dies last, but with two 80 year olds running the team, a much maligned head coach, and a team of have been’s and never will be’s; I think we might have a good run next year. What MM needs is a solid OC who will give him good advice and not try stupid gimmick plays on 4th and goal. MM struck me as being on the brink - its either redeeming success or utter failure. I'm pulling for success - I need this team to justify having Direct TV!
  8. I think Marv was a great coach back in the day - and we all have a good right to remain skeptical of what he can do as GM considering he has never held the job. If the buzz around TBD is right, Modrak should be getting the bulk of the GM work, such as player evals and who to draft/trade. What Marv brings is a smart approach to player relations. MM really handled the Eric Moulds and Sam Adams issues poorly. If he had a Marv around, he could have been coached to a better way. I mean come on; Bruce, Andre and Thermo were not easy going personalities. The fact that Marv could have them all on the same page shows what he can still bring to the team. Given that, I think we might see Moulds and Adams stick around.
  9. Bring Holcomb and Losman back to camp and let them play for the job. The competition will do them good and we missed it by the Bills letting Drew go.
  10. The problem with that is the GM does not suit up and play. When the Bills were up 21-0, TD was brilliant! The problem is his decisions are black or white - he gets Losman and Evans which should prove to be good, but he lets Pat W go and makes bone head moves like Gregg Williams. There are very few GMs that get to have Pollians type years. And TD did come to Buffalo to clean up the cap problems Butler left us. Ralph gave him an extension and he is only now beginning to have his mark placed on the team. The question is, is there a better GM out there who can do what the team needs to be champs?
  11. They will survive the season if for no other reason than anyone who might replace them are still involved in winning football. I am by no means a football expert, but having watched this season compaired to last some things are now painfully obvious. 1) Let Nate go. He wants to be paid as the best corner in the NFL? Maybe he should start playing like it. I am so tired of his busch leauge personal fous that cost the team field positions. He is a good player, but I think some of the young guys can do the job. 2) Keep Sam Adams. Yes he is fat and lazy, but he also busts his hump when on the field. If we get rid of him, who fills the middle? He has another year on his contract, let him ride it out. 3) Say goodbye to Clememts amd Grey. If MM is calling the plays, he does not trust TC. You cannot have a team work like that. Plus MM went way to consevitive today; he needs someone to hold their own responsibility. Grey just seems burnt out in Buffalo. The Defense has bee limited due to injury and personal, but JG seems to stay with last years defensive plans even though he does not have the personel for it. This lack of adjustments is proof to me that he is not as good as I thought. 4) Improve the lines. Both the D and O line need some bodies. The problem will be staying uot of Salary Cap Hell. This marks the end of another Buffalo Bills season. Once again too early and once again with nothing to show for it
  12. Pat downs also depend on where you are. When I go to see the Jets (free tickets) the security can practically tell your religion afterwards. They are looking for everything. When I go to the Ralph, they pat down nice and light. You can still sneak in a brew. The bottom line is in this day and age, some stupid yahoo might try to pack a piece into a game and then the critic will cry out why there wasn't tougher security. The only solution is to start tailgating earlier so you can get to the gate with a little extra time
  13. I think the question should be more so how many years until the Bills will WIN a playoff game. The way the league has been, the team could make the playoffs next year (hypothetically of course because until they replacing the players aging before our eyes, our Defense will resemble swiss cheese for quite a few years to come), but is that enough? Even when we made the playoffs, getting bounced in the first weekend was weak! So far, TD has not proven capable of building a Super Bowl Contender. Coach Malarkey has done what appears to be a decent job with the team he has been given. Not quite the same talent Marv walked into in 1986. Plus Polian pulled off a great deal for him (the Biscuit). I hope everyone is having a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
  14. Interetsing thought, but remember when the Bills replaced Freddie S for Wright? I still contend that if we had Smerles, we would have stopped OJ Anderson and won the SB. You need your nose tackle to be a mean SOB who can clog the middle. Bills should have kept Pat Williams. It was Pat and Sam that help the Bills be a top run defense last year. Anderson and the other guy wont cut it in a 16 game season.
  15. For a change of pace, JP looked good. His throws were accurate and he seemed posied. It was the rest of the team that looked like they forgot they were pro football players.
  16. Being in Connecituct, I have to deal with too many Pats fans. The Tedy jokes will continue to be funny until the end of the season... or until Brady comes out of the closet Oh come on, the dude like 26, three superbowl rings, legendary status and seems to be a genuine nice guy. WHY DOES HE HAVE TO PLAY IN THE AFC EAST!!!!!!
  17. Bledsoe would have been killed behind our line this year. We had to go with JP because he can run for his life! Of course he looks like "Classic Bledsoe" with the Fing Cowboys
  18. It doesn't matter if the 'Bolts run all over us. The Chiefs did, but the D came up big by limiting the blitz (FINALLY) and keeping them out of the end zone. If the D can hold San Diego to 3's and JP (hopefully JP) can be accurate - then who knows, after all, hope dies last
  19. Great point! Winfiled and big Pat havn't done much for Minnisuposta.
  20. How can JP be good? The last California QB we had sure worked out great. AT least Losman doesn't wear #11
  21. I caught the beginning of RAW and they did a nice tribute to Guerrero. I have not been into wrestling in years, but today is interesting because these guys are having a hard time staying in character. After the tribute, most of the guys were in tears - it was a real, human moment. It was amazing to witness.
  22. Thank goodness the games wasn't in KC - Bills normally get smacked down there!
  23. From 1989 when Do the Reich thing was first shouted he was a class act! A great team mate and someone Bills fans could always admire. Nice to see him get his props!
  24. Thats the pisser, the Bills expolited the Chiefs and made me feel all warm and fuzzy like, "wow, they finnaly get it, we have the team TD promissed", and the Rochester D&C will write some nice articles and I'll think "Yeah, San Diego isn't that good. And KC ran well but we were able to dominate... we could win this game". Then they will actual play the game, and San Diego with have a Bruski-esk effort and the this feel of you and hope will evaporate back to cry of "This team blows" The moral of this - we have a week to enjoy a good win, lets enjoy the now
  25. And thank goodness for that, if not, we might have to focus on the Bills and not hear and learn from the Teachings of the Tedd (we are not worthy)
