  1. Well, the experts spoke, and in round one of the true mock draft the Bills drafted (by a landslide) LB Patrick Willis. In round two, I'd go with RB Antonio Pittman. I think that little bugger will be a stud in the NFL.
  2. looks like it's gonna be p.willie.
  3. I was thinking about putting him up there, but that would be insanely unrealistic. The guy will go top-10, without a doubt.
  4. This will be a message board mock, for each round, I'll have the Bills taking the player who the real experts (you guys) pick. I want them to pick Patrick Willis. Everyday, I dream about the Bills stuffing Willis when the Ravens come to town. But I worry they won't with the way their linebacking corps are right now, so they have to go with Patrick Willis. He is a freak of nature at the LB position. He reminds me of Vernon Davis, but at linebacker.
  5. Nice draft, I like both Willis and Irons and I think they would be instant impact players.
  6. aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttt?!?!?!?!?!
  7. ** The Bills trade a 3rd this year and a 5th next for Michael Turner. Marv waited until the draft and AJ Smith was desperate to trade Turner before he walked for nothing. 1.) Patrick Willis LB [/img] http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/jackson_tanard 3.) Jason Hill WR [/img] http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/chandler_scott 6.) Cory Anderson FB [/img] 7.) 8. CHARGERS WILLING TO TAKE LESS THAN A FIRST-ROUNDER FOR TURNER? An industry source tells us that the San Diego Chargers might be willing to accept a trade proposal for running back Michael Turner that includes less than a first-round pick. Though Turner is tendered as a restricted free agent at the highest possible level, which would require compensation in the amount of a first-round pick and a third-round pick, no one is expected to give up that much for a guy who'll be unrestricted in 2008. Per the source, G.M. A.J. Smith could be ready to accept a second-round pick this year and a second-round pick or a third-round pick in 2008 for Turner's rights. The thinking is that Smith wants to end up with three picks in the first two rounds of this year's draft, so that the team can fill needs at receiver, safety, linebacker, and guard with guys who are ready to play right now. Turner has visited the Titans and the Bills this week I would be happier than a pig in his own feces if we got Turner for a 2nd! Then we could draft P.Willie in rd one, and we would be stacked!
  9. I really wanted this to happen, too!
  10. I am very proud of Marv Levy and Ralph Wilson. They knew that in order to be successful in this league, a team needs a good offensive line. So they went out and signed 3 offensive lineman. Now the Bills have an extraodinary left side of the offensive line (the left side has the potential to be the next W.Jones/S.Hutchinson combo.). After they signed the offensive linemen, they realized they needed a RB to run behind it, and Willis was not the guy. He hit the holes like he had a walker, he never juked/stiff armed anybody, and, most of all, he didn't want to be in Buffalo. So Marv shipped his malcontent a$$ away. Then Marv shured up the DT spot, by trading a shell of Takeo Spikes, and a guy that was going to get cut, for a solid pass-rushing Defensive Tackle. Now, Marv is truly showing us he wants to win. He is searching for a runningback that can propel this team to the playoffs. He knows that in order to win in Buffalo, you need a great rushing attack. Who is that guy he is targeting? It is Michael Turner. Yes, this Michael Turner http://www.dailymotion.com/jcdavey/video/x1lrpq_turnervid. If Marv manages to get Michael Turner, the Bills could have a very tough offense to cover.
  11. I rember reading somewhere that Jarrett's 40 time moved him up to the 1st round. Also, David Irons will be a 25 year old rookie!!
  12. for the first 11 pix, I used Pete Prisco's latest mock. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9999370
  13. 1.) OAK- J.Russell 2.) DET- J.Thomas 3.) CLE- A.Peterson 4.) TB- C.Johnson 5.) ARZ- A. Branch 6.) WAS- G.Adams 7.) MIN- B.Quinn 8.) ATL-J.Anderson 9.) MIA- T.Ginn JR 10.) HOU- L.Landry 11.) SF- D.Jarrett 1.) Paul Posluszny LB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/posluszny_paul The Bills trade down with Denver and pick up their 2nd round pick. (Denver needs DT help, so they draft Amobi Okoye). Pos is a leader and a beast. He will be a starter from day 1. Our starting linebackers: Paul Posluszny, Angelo Crowell, Keith Ellison. 2a.) Antonio Pittman RB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/pittman_antonio He is a speedy, shifty back with incredible toughness. He and the A-Train would create an excellent combination of power and speed. 2b.) Craig Davis WR http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/davis_craig He is a big, physical WR who will compete for the #2 spot. 3a.) Fred Bennett CB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/bennett_fred He has good size and could play in either zone or man. He will add much needed depth to the corner spot. 3b.) Scott Chandler TE http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/chandler_scott The Bills have never had a premiere TE prospect. Right now, their TEs are very average: Royal can block, but his recieving ability is mediocre, Cieslak will be or FB, and Everett is looking like a bust. 4.) Justin Durant LB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/durant_justin This guy is a safety/LB, he could flourish in the cover 2 and he will provide depth. 6.) Selvin Young RB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/young_selvin Depth 7a.) Calvin Bannister CB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/bannister_calvin Depth 7b.) Dustin Fry C http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/fry_dustin Depth
  14. Yea, i read that too. I would take it with a grain of salt though. It seems like those NFL.com experts know about as much about football as blind monkeys.
  15. Let me start this post out by saying that Marv Levy is a genius! He traded a linebacker that will never be his old self and a back up, mediocre qb FOR a solid DT. I am very relieved that the DT position can be scratched off the needs list becuase this years' draft is not a good one for DTs. But I'll tell ya what this year's draft is good for, it's good for LBs, RBs, CBs, (Which just so happens to be the Bills needs!) The Bills first need is LB- The draft is chalk full of these guys. Patrick Willis would be a nice option at #12. He's got excellent speed and is a tackling machine. But Marv could trade down and draft Paul Posluszny. Pos defines high character and plays like a man possessed on the field. In round two, the Bills could go after guys like David Harris, Lawrence Timmons, and Jon Beason. That's 5 guys that could fill this one need. The Bills 2nd need is a RB- My dream would be that the Bills trade for Michael Turner. Whether it be a swap of firsts or a second round pick for the guy. I also drool when I see Adrain "All Day" Peterson, but Marv would have to trade up and give up some good stuff for a top 5 pick. But this draft is full of RBs that can fill the void and be drafted in rds 2-3. My first guy would be Tony Hunt. He may not of run the fastest 40, but this guy gets the job done. He is a classy guy who would knock any LB's block off. He would fit in very well with this offense. Then there is Antonio Pittman. This little bugger is a tough as nails. He is very speedy and extremely productive. Some other possible suitors would be Kenny Irons, Brandon Jackson, and Darius Walker. Need #3= CB- Here are some names that will be around in rds 2 and 3: Marcus McCauley, Aaron Ross, Eric Wright, Tenard Jackson, David Irons, Daymeion Hughes, Josh Wilson, Fred Bennett, and Michael Coe. When the Bills fill their needs, their roster could look like this: QB JP Losman RB Anthony Thomas + Michael Turner/Adrian Peterson/Tony Hunt/Antonio Pittman/Kenny Irons/Brandon Jackson/Darius Walker FB Brad Cieslak WR Lee Evans Peerless Price Roscoe Parrish TE Robert Royal LT Jason Peters LG Derrick Dockery C Melvin Fowler RG Langston Walker RT Terrance Pennington LE Chris Kelsay DT Larry Tripplett Darwin Walker John McCargo Kyle Williams RE Aaron Schobel LOLB Paul Posluszny/Lawrence Timmons/Jon Beason MLB Angelo Crowell ROLB Keith Ellison CB Terrence McGee Ashton Youboty Kiwaukee Thomas Marcus McCauley/Aaron Ross/Eric Wright/Tenard Jackson/David Irons/Daymeion Hughes/Josh Wilson/Fred Bennett/Michael Coe FS Ko Simpson SS Donte Whitner K Rian Lindell P Brian Moorman This is a playoff caliber team!
  16. This guy is a true ass whole. He must have A.P.S (Active pen!s syndrome). But newho... I was reading that the guys on the Buffalo Bills.com message boards are thinking about throwing condoms at Willis when he enters the stadium. That would be great!!
  17. I don't give a dam what it is... we're gettin some caysh!
  18. QUALIFIER COMMITTEE REACHES AGREEMENT: According to a report by Daniel Kaplan in the SportsBusiness Journal, the NFL's qualifier committee formed to come up with a way to allow needy teams to draw on a league revenue sharing pool reached an agreement late Sunday. Buffalo is one of the teams that is on the committee. The details of the system devised are not yet known. The formula reached by the qualifier committee still must be approved by 24 of the 32 NFL owners to be ratified. If not then Commissioner Roger Goodell would have to decide on the issue. All signs however, point to an approval. It's certainly positive that a resolution was finally reached. It will be very interesting to see what the details are.
  19. Let Kollar work with him. Right now, he's as talented as other pro bowl caliber DTs, he just needs good coaching.
  20. Supposedly the Bills have been contacted about Darwin and the Iggles have shown interest in Takeo. I'd trade Takeo for Darwin. (Link to Walker rumor) http://www.nj.com/columns/times/eckel/inde....xml&coll=5
  21. He changed his name because Davis was his oldest brother's father's last name. Williams was his mother's maiden name.
  22. I'd be very happy with this draft. All these "draft experts" have us taking a RB in rnd. 1. The only RB I'd take @ 12 is Adrian Peterson. We all know that you find gem running backs in the mid rounds.
  23. Kicking off from the 35 sounds like a fair thing to me. They're also going to vote about more revenue sharing for teams like the Bills. Vote "Yes" you rich b@st@rds!!
  24. ANALYSIS Positives: Well-built athlete with an outstanding size/speed package … Flashes quick moves off the snap and is very effective scanning the field when taking a pitchout … Shows determination and power running between the tackles … Has a compact build and a strong lower frame that allows him to run through arm tackles … Shows strength breaking into the secondary … Takes proper angles trying to accelerate past the line … Has good veer and weave running with the ball … Protects the ball securely and displays solid route-running skills with proper hand extension going for the screen passes … Very quick and decisive getting to off-target throws … Stands his ground firmly as a blocker picking up the blitz, facing up to deliver a forceful hand punch. Negatives: Has had problems overcoming minor injuries … More comfortable in the short passing game, as he tends to look sloppy coming out of his breaks on deep routes … Needs to do a better job of being aware when the opponent is blitzing in order to lend support as a blocker … Looks to make the "home run" plays too often, developing too much a reliance on that. Heres a video of him: Now this is an intriguing prospect!
