  1. I am debating in my head because I feel optimistic for the change... but then I wonder if I am just whistling by the graveyard and fooling myself... Time will tell. I think that if a true #1 emerges and Dalton Kincaid takes a step closer to a Kelce type tight end we may end up happy with the room at this point. We have speed MVS and Hamler, we have possession Shakir, Samuel .... but who is the pure 1... the route runner, the go to, the one they double up making others better. I don't think Coleman figures into the mix for this ( if he has a season like a 2nd year Gabe Davis that would be success). Shakir/Samuel would seem to be the best hope for a true emergence I am not sure I see teams game planning around them but one can hope. The wild card here that interests me is Claypool... this is an enigma he could easily fall off the chart and get cut. But if he has an epiphany, changes his spots and works his craft he certainly has the talent to be a if not a true #1 something like 1a guy. In the end I feel like there is reason for hope, but like a lot of things with this team, Safety, LB, OL, lots of IFs, lots of reliance on internal improvement and development. There is hope for this... and if it comes together we are much better for it now and down the road. If it doesn't and we need to upgrade at least we are in a better position to do it.
  2. 50 - Ray Bentley 49
  3. Ritchie Incognito 64 63
  4. To me the best chance to take the Division from the Bills is stopping them and matching QB play. To me Miami has lost a ton on D plus major starters coming back from major injury. I am not sure Tua is prepared to match Josh. The Jets D had proven to be difficult on the Bills and clearly Rodgers IF healthy IF.... can get into the arena with Josh. So my pick the Jets.
  5. I would be leary of this at most times taking the over. But I feel like TE is going to be a staple of our passing game this year to take pressure off of WR. So I think this is a big year for K squared.
  6. Agree on Rousseau, he is a 2nd contract tweener... good enough to get that look but like an Edmunds is it gonna be worth the going rate? This year to me tells the tale... I feel like Benford will be reasonable to retain... He is good, not great you have really good corners if he is your Nickle guy... I also suspect he will be looked at in a safety role potentially. I like your idea of wrapping him early to a team friendly deal.
  7. I think the goal here is to weigh special teams play into getting a roster spot. I don't see anyone who is an epic special teamer the gets a roster spot specifically because of ST play. So no I don't see anyone kept on the roster that won't be expected to play O/D with a level of NFL competence.
  8. I remember Bill Parcells saying I am either 100% for my kicker or 0% for my kicker.... Right now I am 100% for my kicker... but he is on a short leash from the get go if he is not shaking off his head case...
  9. First thing I thought of when I saw he got married LOL...
  10. I was really hoping that was the error... LOL the ring said KC Cheifs or Chefs.... that woulda been epic LOL
  11. I know the honey do list doesn't slow up till pre season... even camp doesn't get me time off lol
  12. I like this comparison for one reason. I feel like if Cook is to be an elite threat he has to be the pass catching running back that he was drafted to be. If Davis pushes him to that then awesome... but alas... it's only mini camp so there is that.... but it's fun to contemplate
  13. Going to the Bills/Raiders pre season game in 73 the year the Stadium opened with my Dad and my Uncles I was 5 but I felt like one of the "guys"... never will forget walking into this brand new sparkling stadium and being amazed
  14. I remember he was driving a town car out of the game from the players lot when the Red Pinto tailgate was in the lot by the Bubble. He saw us stopped dented the pinto like we asked him had a beer and some chicken wings out of the army helmet they were cooked in and hung out. Fun guy!
  15. This... ^^^... Allen's ability to run makes an average OL better. Now with the shuffling of the OL I feel like Cousins would be in trouble. I think you have to spy Allen and play a lot of zone so he is accounted for I don't think that restriction would apply to a Cousins type QB. Just MO
  16. I am pretty sure that's Aaron Rodgers alternatate personality Sun Rodgers post Ayahusca
  17. I hated that pick... then when he put out that QB CRAVEN rap tune I was like dude just stop....
  18. I think this is a 5 to 8 year. I think there is interesting hope for optimism if a lot of things happen IF... IF Shakir plays like a solid 2, If Bernard continues his progress, If Milano can resume form, if we transition the O line from Morse at center ... if we improve at safety cause Poyer and Hyde we really in decline etc... otherwise I think this is a bit of a re tool and I am fine with that.
  19. Not sure how they pay for him. He is elite when healthy but seems like a Matt Milano availability will always be a question I am not sure I wanna invest future money in a big contract when reliability is that much in question
  20. Seriously, as are the Chiefs... Like what have we become... 100% agree...
