Guess people will have different definitions... Disaster to me is 30th in the league in getting off the field on 3rd down, 29th in the league in most first downs given up despite the fact we have an offense that controls the ball like very few others. I agree and did mention personel deficits the lack of a game wrecker killed this team as it made the personel ineffectiveness much more obvious. Quite honestly the lack of over all aggressiveness is concerning unless you are talking about the fact his players were out of position running around like chickens and mostly knocking each other out like keystone cops. The majority of our injuries to DBs were friendly fire... Maybe it is all the players and he is the next coming of Bill Parcells...who knows and not that you are saying that... but i see it as a mess that needs to be fixed. By way I think there is plenty of blame to go around including him and Beane for the drafting and construction of that unit. That being said it's fixable and I am hopeful they show improvement next year with or without him . But i am not colored impressed by him at all

Well I was encapsulating all of the takes I read on the board that were speculating why he might be upset or have the right to be angry... and simply saying that maybe if he was mad he was probably mad he had a chance to get it done but didnt... if you are asking me how that works I feel like its pretty simple... he is a competitive player... he wants to win ... he didnt get it done... so he is mad... and I think that is better than him being happy... If you are asking me about every other posters take on why he might be mad, I have no idea... I told you why I thought he was upset. He is not the type to blame others and demand changes he tends to look at himself.

I agree here, you gotta know that on fourth and game that you have to have contingencies... we were badly out coached and Brady was pretty bad imo.
-
Indeed... that is always the way...

Cooper DeJean - Would he have made a difference?

He would have made a bigger difference than Coleman thats for sure. -
Brown, Claypool, = Pickens... no... just no...
-
I would totally look at Hendrickson...

We are currently negative 2.5 mill in cap space for 2025

Well... if given an option to only fix 1 thing Defense or WR I totally pick Defense it was atrocious... it was predicated on turn overs and holding other teams to FGs... horrible passive plan with the definition of mediocrity on the field... that said... a true vertical threat is a huge need for this team. -
despite the obvious cheating by the ref's , the inept coaching, the terrible defense, bad play calling... bad drafting and all of these things that we contribute this loss too... Maybe he is simply mad because he had the ball in his hands with a few minutes left and could have led a game winning drive that ended it all.. and didnt... if I were him thats what I would be mad at... no 13 seconds... no stupid coin flip, no bass missing a FG all with him on the sidelines... the game ended with him having a chance to end the speculation... and it unfortunately didnt happen... I certainly dont want him to be happy... he has to feel as angry as us times 10...

They only count if you would have actually drafted them... 2 out of 3 we had a shot... Jefferson was no way to know he would be there when the trade went down.. but if he was we would have probably taken another mediocre DL that cant disrupt
-
Skipping opening game too for his re canonization...
-
As did the Chiefs... no one is afraid of anyone deep in this offense... this is a problem.
-
Still cracks me up that we gave Mahomes to the Chiefs
JP51 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
It true they said the same things about him as Allen, Raw, High ceiling, boom or bust, etc... that being said... we really do need to stop trading with the Chiefs.. if they want something we should try to stop it... they seem to know what they are doing. -

Someone said it was 9mm post 6/1 -
I agree... he is 27 so young he also has a 27mm cap hit next year so he would need to come with an extention... I am not saying they wont do it but the price would be really high... Garrett might be an easier target... it is the Browns after all... lol plus they may be more cap motivated and he is 29
-
Love the idea of him coming home.. but I am not sure that another edge on the downside of their career for big money is the move to make here...
-
And they still thought he was an option... can AJ Klein play CB? lol oh wait...
-
Agreed... never generated 4 man pressure, never kept OL off of our LBs and safeties... no one on D that is the game wrecking molding that helps cover deficiencies.
-
I hope you find your way back... we are all frustrated.
-
Spot on here... not only that... but in the end, forget Pro Bowlers per se... this Defense has no leader, no guy that the other team has to game plan around... and they certainly dont come on like a pack of wild no name dogs that you have to fight every one of them... they pretty much just grab their ankles and you need to run routes and avoid their a$$es...

Von Millers name was not mention ONE TIME last night!
JP51 replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you are right, I think he knows... maybe he goes back to Denver for one year... or someplace... but I think his time is done here... gonna be some critical moves in the offseason getting rid of Von seems like one of the easy ones... there will be much harder methinks... -
This quote on the surface sounds extreme... but I will say this Von. Jones, Oliver, Epenesa, Groot, Douglas every safety that started for us, Williams and Milano underwhelmed.... Taron and Benford were keys, Bernard with his salary was a net plus... other than that... they could upgrade everyone about every where including every Defensive coach we have starting with Babich.
-
Babich to me is a disaster... unless he is just a figure head to McD and he is still running the D.... but it seems to me like Babich was a significant player in our issues on D this year... personnel was clearly another... like Damar should be starting no where in football except maybe the CFL...
