The most baffling thing to me was the insistence to run the 1 yard psuedo lateral/screen to Samuel ... the one thats like a 20 yard lateral at or on the line of scrimmage that nets -.5 yards a play... like can we please stop that... like don't do that ever... and maybe re work the screen game bit... maybe..

Big contracts to RB are not my fave either.... I like the term though 4 years... if he stays healthy and produces it will age well... if not well not so much... but on the surface it does seem fair market... what i like the most is the player is back, distraction has been avoided and we can move on with our TC and into the season... and we can end the Cook speculation threads cause... well now we know... and I think we all expected a contract in the 11-12mm range that seems to be the mark.... the 15-17mm thing was just ridiculous to me...

Boring is really good... no acrimony, drama, or otherwise foolishness in training camp... that is what I was hoping for a nice safe dramaless show that pictured the team in a close family like togetherness... all good so far... the cook signing removed the major obvious drama opportunity.

Literally, they are like he is my boss and I have to talk to him but I have had more meaningful conversations with a 5 year old regarding pizza toppings.

I will just leave this here... I am certainly not in the indict Beane category but I am also underwhelmed with his ability to draft game changers day 1 and 2.... I am interested to see how Elam plays out in Dallas, apparently he is the as they said "Darling" of camp.... but that to me is like Rex saying we won the offseason... but I for one will be interested in how he plays there.... and how they utilize him... if it is similar in nature this is on the coaching staff as well... is the issue the "process" and not the player? Does that explain why we seem at least on defense to struggle with higher picks... Because Josh and Dion and Ocyrus and Cook , Brown etc.... seem to pan out (lets see about Coleman and Kincaid)

I went thru them all... actually went to one in Minneapolis... an AFC Championship and Superbowl appearance is something... its something important... No one talks about the Dolphins, Oilers, Raiders, Chiefs Broncos of that era they were what the Bills are today... good teams knocking on the door... but the Bills ran the AFC and for those that were too young or dont remember it was a very special time.... We currently are the Oilers, Dolphins Chiefs of this equation... they were good teams... history doesnt remember their losses in division games, or the occasional championship game... they are just lumped into that era as good teams... if we dont make the Superbowl we will just be one of those good teams... They will not be making movies and documentaries about our accomplishments, they won't talk of no one ever made it 4 times in a row... blah blah blah... So part of me is like... Really... we are having this discussion over a pre season game... cmon man... there is another part of me that had hoped that I would see some semblence of difference in the Defense... not a huge fan of Babich, I am not gonna lie... and I didnt, I saw the same old get run over, give up 3rd and long soft coverage no pass rush defense we had last year... does it mean anything... not necessarily, but that doesnt mean I wasnt looking for a WOW these guys are on to something... so no, no jumping off of bridges... but patiently waiting to see if anything has changed or we are gonna throw out the same slowly bleeding out crush your soul, thank God we have Josh defense Babich/Mc D ran off last year. I would say that I agree here with you point for sure... if this happened in the game like cook is on the sidelines and coach says James go in there and run this... and cook said No! that would be really bad.... but that isnt what I am saying, I am saying if the coach told him he wanted him to play on tues weds thurs whatever and he told the coach no I am not gonna do that, this is him not living up to his contract... no more no less... the original post I was responding too said, something to the effect that he was living up to his contract ( I think cause he was present at camp) ... my response was, well if they wanted him to play football in a game and he told them no... and he is under contract to play football... that to me is a breach... you can agree or disagree... but to me telling him he wants him to play in a game and him saying no is a breach whenever that intent was made known.... if you think different, all good we just dont agree... that said... am I upset he said no... honestly, not really, he has been refusing to participate for a while now in TC... maybe its because they are close to a deal and he doesnt want to get hurt... Well saw it scrolling on the nfl channel and someone posted above the Matt Bove reported it Well what i saw reported was McDermott wanted him to play and he said no... its pretty straight forward if what is being reported is true. His coach wanted him to play and despite being under contract he refused. Now if they are reporting this wrong Well ok.. But as I said if its being reported correctly then he is not honoring his contract

So I had to look it up lol apparently they do vets get 3250.00 rooks get 1850.00 its a stipend and consistent thru the league... looks like James missing out on his tip money this week 😆

I dont... if the reports are true that he was asked to go in the game and he refused then to me refusing to play football when you are contracted to play football means you are breaking a contract. If what is being reported is true.

If he stays healthy I know he was out not sure if he is back yet.
