Literally none of the above and all of the above... just my personal opinion of what I have seen... I am certainly trying to take Stats, Era, W/L overall team compliment, etc... into account... but simply its just my impression... I picked Lamonica, I may have actually seen him play but I was like 3 ... so... there is that... same thing with Kemp... so yeah when you are going thru history no doubt you are relying on conjecture and opinion from others...

I am with you on this one... but 1 point that another poster made that I thought was interesting... QBs were not protected anywhere near then what they are today, PI rules were much more lax then than they are now.... LBs were much bigger then and there was no mercy given to QBs... wonder how this effects the game if they switch eras... still sticking with Allen, but it gave me cause to ponder.

I think eventually as the season progresses and he is ready to play... assuming this drama doesnt go all Deshaun Watson on him... yes absolutely... but I think no one is gonna take an immediate flyer on him hoping that this doesnt go Watson and keep him on IR until he is recovered... but hey teams get desperate and may do exactly what you say... I know I wouldnt... Offseason can be so interesting LOL...

Sometimes I wonder if guys like Antonio Brown, Diggs, Pickens, etc... actually know they are the problem when it keeps happening over and over and over no matter where they go... likely not... but geez... shovel over the head... This level of Drama is just not gonna play well in the Free Agency market... especially coming off an ACL and not even being ready by training camp... he probably goes unsigned at this point... especially if this blows up... I did too and I actually in the moment never liked him as a backup... but I grew to like him... I put him on my list because he was probably better than the rest even from a back up role... and then there was the Houston game...

I would say if they were a 3 win team not many are coming in garbage time the other team is probably running and throwing short quick passes... so to that point I feel like they would be legit... that being said, I am not go get him and give up big assets to do this... but hey 10 sacks on a 3 win team is pretty solid...

agreed, and I would rather pay 24mm for a game wrecker than say... I dont know what 15mm for Rousseau... we need someone that will raise the level of play of those around them as we have a lot of holes... The whole pay little money for Toohill and Ford and Jefferson and Phillips and whom ever else they go get experiment... hasnt worked... the draft has failed us and we dont have a person that teams have to game plan around... so I get your point, but at this point we need to do what we need to do... .thats my opinion.

Agreed, Man and Zone have their own particular weakness and Bene... in the end its about in what situation do you deploy them, what does your personnel allow, are you getting to the QB with 4, does the QB run, and what are the other teams tendencies.. In the end I have been on record as saying that I hated Babiches anticipation in game planning... he was fine adjusting, but was clearly not in tune with what the offensive game plan was going to be and how to take it away.... that to me was the biggest issue, not zone or man... but in the way it was deployed

Sign Rousseau... sure... but sign him with the awareness of how streaky he is and in really important games he seems to disappear... that should factor into the money equation... the reality is that I feel it is gonna be a Tremaine Edmunds situation.... where player is ok... never gonna be a game wrecker, we aint gonna pay him like one, but some one will and then will regret it.... That said... you get him on a good deal I am fine with that... otherwise look to upgrade thru the draft... or however, cause he isnt so good that we cannot upgrade... Now, maybe a game wrecker on the other side and a big body in the middle that requires a DT helps him out but he is not a Watt or Bosa or Parsons Garrett etc.... (although a bit more durable...at least recently)

I do agree here... literally, the only position not in need of an upgrade is Benford's, that doesnt mean the rest are trash, it means that you have no consistent game changers... and lots of players with some very serious flaws... Epi, Oliver, Jones, Rousseau, Von, all inconsistent with flashes from time to time... Rousseau being the best of the bunch disappears all too often.... Douglas is fine, but not a lockdown corner... Rapp and Hamiln are not good enough... Maybe Rapp could be a marginal starter with a really good partner.... Williams and Bernard flash at times... Bernard more often than Williams... but they struggle to get off of blocks and if they are not creating turnovers really fail to consistently make big plays... Milano despite the fact I love the guy is simply injured to often and unavailable too much... I suspect that he is in a place of diminishing skill... in the end... you cant over haul the entire defense, nor pay everyone... but the failure of the drafting is becoming so evident that is is impossible to ignore... We can go out and sign FA etc... but this problem will not be resolved until our drafting hits professional level status... the best we can do at this point is go pay for a game wrecker that will hopefully help the level of play for those that surround him.... and look to upgrade those positions that we can... with respect to our current defense THE ONLY person I am paying bucks to in a big way is Benford...
