  1. So me too... I was in the laugh and lets write and play music category... then after 30 something happened and I couldnt tolerate it anymore...
  2. I was going here too...
  3. I hope his wife does follow thru or I fear it goes poorly for her... this has the classic abused wife characteristics .... I hope he seeks help and rids himself of whatever rages in him.
  4. Dont know about this guy... but I see its your first post... welcome to the board.
  5. Dont totally disagree.. but we did pick up Edwards last year... Hamlin aint it, Rapp destroys all those around him including himself... and I am hopeful that Bishop can take the next step but until I see it color me cautious... the position is imo opinion... A bit unsettled... not saying he is the magic bullet... just saying I have one eye open on this position group. I would not be surprized if we still drafted a Safety in the first 4 rounds.
  6. It totally does, I cannot see him going in his original draft position, I think the GMs will recalibrate based on this news and he drops... even the Chiefs... just not as far as the others...
  7. Bond is gonna be a UDFA unless the Chiefs take him in like the 6th cause he fits their family profile....
  8. Still am not comfortable with Bass... but I aint replacing him... at least not now.
  9. I am in the "You can pour me some old whiskey river my friend but I'll never smoke weed with Willie again" crowd... just dont like the loss of control and paranoia that comes with that stuff... I get why people like it but it doesnt work for me... I would be one of those paranoid heart palpitating bad trip dudes...
  10. he is even if Watson comes back LOL
  11. Nice situation for Flacco... (not so much the Browns) but reminds me of a Testeverde... finish your career out playing a little bit, not needing to be the guy, mostly hanging on the sidelines not getting beat to death, and making millions... good work if you can find it...
  12. I wasnt born at this point, but I have heard the stories of these players thru my Dad and Uncles... Its really nice to see it be real...
  13. Yeah something tells me he is gonna be a faller and not a riser as the draft approached LOL....
  14. He really kind of is... like there is no doubt he walks to the beat of his own drum... but he likes his drum and he doesnt care if you dont LOL... I just dont think the average person can fathom who would walk away from millions and millions and all of the adulation... but I guess he was never about money and is quite introverted.. so he is happy .... good for him.
  15. Its funny, I wont say most, but a lot of folks believe that money isnt everything and cant buy you happiness... yets when someone walks the walk he gets ostracized.
  16. I am kinda here... I see the Jets staying the same or making a minor move either way... so 6 to 8 wins... Miami I see moving in the wrong direction a bit so I am in for 9 -10 wins for them... Patsies.. I see moving up I actually would go 7-9 wins for them... so to me its a toss up... But I will pick the fins... because I think of the 3 Tua might be the best QB of the 3 teams at this point with Maye on his heels... and Vrabel is a new system they make take a bit to get untracked... Jets gonna Jets..
  17. Bills moved from 21 to 7 so 14 spots... Trade 21 with the Bengals that sent Cordy Glenn over to Cinci to move to 12 then 2 second round picks to move from 12 to 7. This move from 30 to say 5 (25 SPOTS) would cost much much more than a starting tackle and 2 2nd rders. But in the end we are saying the same thing I think... just an immense amount of capital to move up for one play... no way I am doing this
  18. Dont forget the cops who wanted him to get out of the car.
  19. Oh I would totally give him a 10% shot... but the last half of his career would need to be special and fortunate... you also made an earlier point about his own desire... Like how much money is enough for you to stop taking the beating you take week after week...
  20. Nice notion, but we moved up about the same amount for Allen... and that cost was big, I cannot see doing it for a cb/Wr especially with our needs.. the cost of failure would be astronomical...
  21. Ok I feel at least a little better now that my memory wasnt playing tricks... I was pre 10 at that point... so I remember what I remember but sometimes its a bit skewed.
  22. I dunno... its possible, he would need to be ageless like a Frank Gore or Emmitt himself.... 16 years in the league as a Big back is alot... but he was the other one I thought of and then looked and was like, Big power backs can drop off quick... thats a long time for a big man to pound the rock.. but to your point, he is a super freak of nature... the other assumption is that he can stay healthy for 7 more years... that could derail this as well... but I dont disagree... he does have a chance... a lot needs to go right.
  23. Overrated - literally the entire starting defense minus Benford, Johnson and Bernard (Milano only because of availability. injury etc.... ) Rousseau is inconsistent... Oliver is flashes at times but is consistently underperforming otherwise, Jones is washed, Epi got paid and did zero, Rapp is over positioned as a starter, Hamiln is over positioned as a starter, Von is gone but totally over rated at this stage, Douglas is gone but was over positioned or over rated, Williams not a starter but rated fairly. Underrated - Torrence, McGovern, Ty Johnson,
  24. oh dang I was really little when I watched him... I thought he was a corner... but thanks for the fix there... well... I'll just keep quiet maybe no one else will notice LOL... we shall see!
