  1. I thought Davis played well against the Jets. He was decisive and ran with power. That's exactly what we need from him. Cook is a bit faster and can create his own opportunities. But he is fairly easy to bring down, dances too much, and can't catch a deep ball consistently. I think Cook should still start but he needs to keep learning how to be better. Mix it up between them, it should work. That said, I would almost never extend a RB for much over the minimum (healthy Henry and McCaffrey's of the world are the only exceptions). It's such a high wear and tear position and there are a lot of people with the athletic ability to play the position.
  2. This is my list as well. It's good to have Bernard in there. Williams still takes himself out of plays too much via overaggressive stuff in the wrong gap. Epenesa applied pressure. Johnson made one heck of an interception. Rapp was on time for a few passes and made a 4 point play on the tackle after Hamlin and Williams enabled the 40 yard run. The OL was better than other games. Torrence bailed out Allen on the fumble big-time.
  3. Giving up the hail mary was a fail
  4. Rapp made a couple pretty serious plays today
  5. I sure hope not, but they'll use the wind as an excuse. Zeurlein is a good kicker and he struggled.
  6. I can't remember an NFL game with this many flags
  7. It is far from over with this team and coaching staff
  8. I will be shocked if the defense can hold them to 3.
  9. Between the refs and the kickers, this is not easy to watch
  10. I don't mind a QB runs if they are playing man, although the spies might prevent that.
  11. They absolutely have to cut Bass now. The replacement kicker can be paid league minimum. Anything is better than a kicker that can't hit kicks.
  12. This coaching staff has absolutely no idea what it is doing strategically at the end of halfs or games. Just amazing. Usually after a timeout too. I don't care if you drop back 20 people, if you give the QB forever to throw, you can have a problem.
  13. This coaching staff has got to be the worst strategically in the history of the NFL at the end of halfs and games. They just have absolutely no idea what they are doing. And it is often out of a defensive timeout. Incredible.
  14. G€€€dfhhh. *****. Two man rush. Soooo stupid.
  15. My least favorite thing: the defensive timeout
  16. That was the full Allen experience. Trying too hard and fumbling, then making a play for a TD few can make.
  17. Bass is working on costing us a game. Their are plenty of kickers bouncing around college teams that are better. Another brilliant contract.
  18. Bills defense is not good so far. No pass rush, bad tackling, the full experience.
  19. This is a bit redundant with the standings and all. But it is somewhat interesting if you factor in coaching. It's pretty obvious Baltimore, KC, and Houston are in the conversation. But with their defense and coaching, you can't dismiss the Steelers IMO. I'm also surprised by the Bengals record so far. If the Bills lose decisively to the Jets, you can start to think about checking a bunch of boxes.
  20. Bennett was acquired by a certain competent GM. Talk about a difference maker.
  21. In my ignorant opinion: - Our OL defines league average, but is acceptable. Something is very wrong with our blitz recognition and pickup many times however. People keep saying communication... - I have seen our QB do great things in the past. He is susceptible to bad decisions. He can be 'flapped' if you pressure him enough (as opposed to the greats, who are unflappable) - Our WRs are complete trash, with the exception of Shakir. We may have the worst WR group in the league. MVS and Hollins can't track deep balls, and for some reason Samuel (injury, bad scheme?) has gotten zero traction this year. Coleman may develop into something after a time, but he is far from an impact rookie right now. - When Daboll was OC, I used to look forward to the Offense getting on the field. Not so much now. With this team, we need major innovation. It ain't happening. Like others have said, I think this offense is a perfect reflection of McDermott's philosophy. I just hope they spent some serious time this week working on blitz and protection breakdown contingencies. This is almost off topic but to me, Kelce is like Cole Beasley in a bigger body. Great at finding the soft spots in a zone. But even better, Kelce can box out with his size and sometimes gets covered by a LB or nickel, who hardly stand a chance.
  22. Jets 24 Bills 10 Nothing gets the attention of a team better than firing the coach. Bills offensive coaches and Allen have no answers and nobody can separate. The Jets blitz and crowd the box. Rodgers gets his head out of his butt for a couple series. The crowd is fired up on Monday night. The forecast calls for pain. Please let me be wrong.
