At least hes made it to 2 SB's. And look at the QB's hes made it there with! Imagine him having Josh as his QB. -

Im sure you can find a bath house nearby your trailer park to play that game, with some gent that rolls the way you do. -

As a matter of fact. I would really like to hear from TBD on what current head coaches would have at least taken this team over the 4-years to Super Bowl, at least 1 appearance. I already named 3, but who else who you folks got? -
Yeah, until you run into a defense that can and will capitalize on the fact that we have no deep threats that will consistently challenge their DB's downfield. Baltimore's defense is ready for the dink and dunk stuff that we do.

Take Josh off of this team and see where McDermott gets us! Take McDermott off of this team and replace him with 10 other current head coaches and I think we are in the same, if not better position. With McVay, Shannahn and Reid and I will guarantee at least 1, if not 2 superbowls for sure. -
so then explain why they win, if it isnt player, then its coaching right? My original point stemmed from those that believe that McDermott is the right coach to get us to a SB and Win one. My point was I dont see it anymore and I am not just blaming him. Beane is on the hook too. Yes, he hits on later round picks, but our premier picks that he holds onto and refuses to trade for top flight players, he misses on badly, so why not trade them and get players that you know are good?

-
I wasn't talking about just AFC teams. My statement was about how other teams that sucked have built contending rosters that have consistently made it further than us in the same amount of time that we have had Josh.
-
My point isnt about AFC teams only. Its about how good GM's have built there teams to contend for Superbowls in the same amount of time that we have had Josh Allen, balling like an MVP. We on the otherhand spend first and second round draft picks on AJ, Boogie, Elam, Cole Bishop, Rousseau. Name one of them that has had a truly productive season considering where they have been drafted. Several of them dont even suit up on a consistent basis.

Los Angeles/Cincinnati (2021) for starters. Both were bottom feeding teams prior. They made in-season trades to get over the hump that year as well. (Von and Odell). As bad as many think Zack Taylor is- he did have legitimate excuses some years with losing Burrow for a season. He at least went to 2- AFC championships and 1-superbowl though!
-
Funny - am I the only one in the world that watches Hamlin and wonders what MC'D was thinking when he decided to make him a starter? Top tier teams make big time trades in the offseason, as well as the season to bring in the talent that they need when they need it most. I don't wanna hear about Amari Cooper either. He's no longer the Cooper that played for Dallas or the Raiders. He is a shell of his former self. The Ravens brought in Henry, even though they made it to the Conference Title game without him last year. Philly brought in Saquon, even though they also have been to the conference championships without him. SF the same with Christian McCaffrey. We for some reason like to trade our draft picks to our adversaries on the other hand.

people act like we cant do better and McDermott is the only coach out there that is right for this team. Brandon Bean also needs to be on the Hot seat as well! Hes as much to fault as the Coach. -
Well said! I dont hate McDermott. I am just stating the obvious. We have one of the best QB's in the NFL and there are teams that dont have what we have that make it to the show at least. We have 1- Conference championship that weve made it to with Josh and Diggs and a healthy Tre, Poyer and Hyde and we have not one SB appearance to show for it. I am not OK with mediocrity at all. This is our time, right now, not gonna ever accept having a healthy MVP caliber QB continue to just make the playoffs. Im not knocking anyone that is OK with being competitive, but just participating isnt enough for me and I fear that Pegula will run with the status quo until the well has run dry.

Not just the AFC, but also NFC teams as well.
-
Arent you tired of watching bottom feeder teams from just a few years jump ahead of us going to, and some and winning SB's? Do you not think that coaching has a major part in that? I get that under MC D, we have enjoyed success as far as getting into the playoffs, but that is not the end game. The Steelers fans are not content with winning seasons, just like we shouldnt be content with just making it to the playoffs. Beane does not get a pass either!
-
I know that they wont replace him, but if his defense folds again, depending on how they fold, then he absolutely should get replaced. He is ruining a once and a lifetime franchise, MVP's prime years and I will 100% continue to put the blame on him until he either changes, or is gone. You, like may on this board are content with playoffs. Josh wont be around at peak physicality like hes been for too many more years. Gotta take full advantage now.

I can pull up the quotes from former players that have stated that a College team could've scored on us with the defense we played. Not just their performance personally, but the scheme. If you watch enough NFL over the years, you can see adjustments being made. Our blitzes are comical BTW. The fact that we blitz the same way each and every time, with no real disguises, with the same result should tell you all you need to know about how well we do that. -
Do you really think Beane runs the draft? You can clearly see MC D's fingerprints all over the 1st and 2nd round picks. Beane or whoever handles the later rounds, but Coach is running the draft. Best believe that!

Envision it! I have doubts for sure, but my doubts aren't about us not being able too, its if the coaching staff have the right game plan to get what this defense prepared for this team. -

Never adjusts the defensive scheme when needing too! It is possible to do, as many DC's that win SB's do in games. If he only knows a Nickel Defense and thats all he will play then that tells you all you need to know. Plus his defense always seems to be unprepared. Look at the top offenses we played this year and tell me how our defense faired? Rams, Detroit, Baltimore, Houston (at the time)? -
This!!! Josh has to be a monster this game for sure. If he plays to the way he is capable of and the defense lets us down again, then it will be another year of "McDermott needs to go" from me. I don't want to hear the excuses about a reset year, salary cap, or washed up players that we lost. Beane knew what he was working with all season and did nothing to address it. This is the theme year in and year out. We always go into a season with glaring needs at key positions and they do the same thing every year, we bring in a semi-washed up player that either rarely sees the field, or is a JAG.

I now move Ravens fans ahead of KC fans as the MLFB (Most Loathable Fan Base). KC fans have a reason to be the way they are, they have won numerous SB's over the past decade. Ravens fans have a media MVP and act as if they have had so much success with Lamar. I can recall going over to their board(s) just to see the reaction after we beat them in the playoffs and most were onboard with letting Lamar go. Hes always hurt, hes a rusher first and not a true passer, now he's the best QB in the history of the NFL if you let them tell the story. I want to beat them worse than KC now!

When in the Red Zone, yes go for it on short. We wont beat the Ravens playing like that. Our offensive scheme seemed very vanilla when we got to the Red Zone.
