I will argue - while it is a great show of humanity to have a loser parade, if this is the prevailing attitude of management then it makes sense they never got it done. They kept Norwood on thru the following season. While he didn't bite them in the butt at the worst possible moment in 1991 (he tried against the Raiders), I'm sure the players see that and know at an unspoken personal level they're safe if they have an off day too. Not what you need at the most elite level of your profession. Also, I feel this fanbase today would have a bigger turnout for the "awe shoot, we came up short again" parade. Today I like PFF. But where did Dodson end up? Their assessment of his play made no sense to me. Better than good (not great) against the run, but lost when dropping into coverage. Middle of the road LB at best, but PFF had him at the top for a good part of the season.

I loved it when random players used to wear pink shoes, gloves, & towels. I understand what it was for, but man it was hard on the eyes. The NFL has toned down the on field pink for boob health month recently. A problem that continues to this day is the players a) wearing mismatched undershirts and/or b) being slobs where the undershirt hangs out beyond their jersey. You can have great looking uniforms, but if your fat guys look like they don't care it defeats the whole look.
