(We all know the markets aren’t free the wealthy place a heavy thumb on the scale) Government regulation is how we as a society check and steer the market to our collective goals. We can tax large corps and high wage earners and subsidize farms and any other industry we choose. Instead half the electorate wants to talk about abortions and women’s sports instead of wage fairness. Maybe try voting for politicians who want to increase wages for teachers and the military and want to regulate health care for better outcomes, and increasing the minimum wage to a living wage instead of tax cuts and walls. also farms are a problem for several reasons but mostly corporations owning large farm conglomerates that drive down prices and squeezing out smaller farms due to scale. Additionally most farms need more than one child to work it but dividing the farm smaller and smaller make each part less able to compete. none of this is a natural event all of it is man made decisions. Huh? You are the state. I am the state. This is what democracy is. And better the state control things than corporations since there is no accountability to corporations other than the state, which is all about accountability.
