Turn Down The Temperature: Unity?
Starr-Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
“Turn down the temp.” This sounds more like setting the stage for violence. -
400 pages of posts, 2 pages in the last 24hours of right wing propaganda and your point of fact in this this post, like all of those before, is factually wrong. does your mom know you’re on the internet this much, or is she too busy entertaining Irv?

I see they’re already working on the felons ‘47’ portrait.

Trump: Going Back To Butler
Starr-Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Helene makes unlikely friends of Republican swing-state governors and Biden You are allergic to facts I get it. I’d recommend a vaccine to fix that but, well we know. oh and Biden is POTUS. -
Great update. Thanks.

Trump: Going Back To Butler
Starr-Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yea and the response has been universally praised by republican and democratic governors. mike john also doesn’t think they need to authorize more money till after the election. Nice guy that Mike real country first guy. and the felon and Leon make up lies and dance like maniacs and weird now they are stealing Dem talking points saying this will be then”last election”. The projection. Every accusation by republicans is an admission. enjoy whining about the orange lost for the next decade. the desire to frame everything as a horse race is gross and disgraceful. -

Forget everything I’ve said, he can fly, I’m all red pill now! -
Interesting word choice. You must read a lot of Russian authors.

Be careful out there.

No. dems are pissed people are spreading lies. Easy to say it’s a bad response, hard to say how or what / how it could be done better. I’m not making a joke. They authorized money ahead of the storm, they worked with the states to preposition assets. This storm and its damage is unprecedented over several states and not what anyone was expecting. Entire towns were washed away. Could things be more efficient I’m sure, will they find and learn from mistakes, hopefully. I think few understand how FEMA and emergency response works. so keep scoring points, not doing anyone you pretend to be concerned with any good.

You mean like communism where the government controls the means of production?
-
Let’s see some numbers I don’t think they will fit your narrative.
-
Dude. No. Dems don’t have an operation with actors making videos trying to make the government response (and by implication Biden & Harris look bad). we can control hurricanes we don’t need actors. 🙃 In all seriousness (and with respect) there are a lot of people in a lot of need, you have been one of the biggest champions of them. We all need to realize there are no points to win besides helping those in need. After that is accomplished we can discuss how it could be more efficient, or faster and simpler. Throwing around baseless accusations does no one any good. My $0.02

Recession is upon us - disastrous economic data
Starr-Bills replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Some context (on my posts) I believe this thread was started on Aug 5th during the one day stock market crash and that was being used to characterize the Biden admins (and Harris by proximity failed economic policies and the looming recession. since then (next day or two later even) the stock market rebounded and has set new record highs several times. now anyone with 3 brain cells to rub together knows both what you said is true and that the stock market isn’t the economy. (It’s telling that the felon was very boastful of the stock market when in office and predicted incorrectly it’s cratering if he wasn’t reelected). So we’ve (and I’m mostly speaking for myself) have taken to mocking the doom sayers who started this thread by posting the positive news about the economy as satire to the absurdity of thinking the one down day in the market was an indicator of a recession. taxing unrealized gains seems unwieldy at best to me and more likely impossible to implement and incredibly chilling and destabilizing worst. Seems fixes in the tax code (minimum rates, and fewer loopholes, etc) would both provide the additional revenue and be easier to implement and enforce an understandable playing field. 🤷♂️ -
It is truly hard to follow your thought process. you accused me of, not wanting to bring SCOTUS into the discussion (of a topic I don’t think applies), the documents case. using an analogy is not changing the subject. It’s trying to simplify and or compare/contrast. i still have no idea if you think the scotus immunity decision has any bearing on the documents case. (It doesn’t). it’s not just me several people here are confused, then again you might be able to make a case everyone on this board is confused. 🤔

My guess is this guest didn’t like the snacks in the green room and so decided to say something so he wouldn’t get invited on Fox again. -
This was about the documents case right? The time in question was after “the peaceful transfer of power” right? How does immunity for a president apply to actions after being president? You are right I am self aware (pretty sure that’s not what you meant but you’re on a roll and I don’t want to interrupt). immunity is about (according to Scotus) official or potentially official actions of the president. Once you leave office, you are no longer the president despite the fact that people provide you with the honorary of still calling you president you are actually not president, but just a civilian just a citizen, a citizen, possessing top-secret documents and potentially sharing those top secret documents after they’ve been requested to be returned is not a presidential immunity situation. It’s not a get out a free jail card. at least that’s how I read the rulings in the interpretations of the rulings and the situation. Obviously, you have a different opinion we can agree to disagree and let the courts resolve the issue I guess.

For ***** once, point out the actual hypocrisy of the "left". There is a near infinite supply of the GOP hypocrisy ( one single example = "FEMA is out of money for Americans because they gave it all to migrants" truth, FEMA has been under funded for several years while the GOP controlled the house and budget. GOP authorized ~$30,000,000,000 ($30B) to FEMA of which $640,000,000 ($.64B) (.64 is MUCH less than 30 just to be clear) was spent on migrant issues. A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE. It is a lie and something the GOP could have fixed, and I believe the left wanted to allocate mote funds, but chose instead to try and make an issue about to win political points. It's gross, disrespectful and down right un-American. the empty suit of a speaker could call the house back into session to authorize more funds for FEMA, or even change FEMA's rules to allow more cash assistance. (BTW you all should look up how FEMA actually works and it is not cash grants to individuals but instead grants and loans to state county and local agencies who should be better equipped and informed on how best to distribute the funds to those they serve, but I digress). Doesn't seem to stop you. Mine are just cogent.

The SCOTUS "Immunity" Decision has nothing to do with a FORMER President keeping records after they were requested (several times I believe) to it is you who is changing the subject again. There also might a reason more than one person used the traffic stop analogy, it seems to apply nicely if you don't try and tie yourself in knots explaining away why a FORMER president kept documents he wasn't allows to have after they were requested back, including evidence the knowingly did this and tried to conceal them from recovery and shared them with people (some of who may have been foreign agents) not clear to see such materials. Whine all you want about how unfair it is to the Felon, but in reality it is unfair to the American people that he acted with such disregard for public property, and with the trust placed in him by the American people. Perception in not reality. Example thinking you can fly and stepping out of a second story window, reality and your perception will meet at ground level, most likely painfully.
